Hi fatto biscotti e gelato è stata un experience bellissima

We had such a fun experience at Mama Florence. With a small group, excellent chef and assistant we were guided through four gluten-free dishes which we all ate together with delicious wine at the end of the session. The pasta making was fun and the whole evening inspirational. The dishes were a crunchy, fresh salad, gluten-free ravioli with spinach and ricotta, chicken cacciatore and panecotta. The setting is in an airy, beautifully equipped kitchen with pretty outdoor terrace. We were 7 of us from all different countries. I came home and promptly attempted two of the dishes! Would recommend Mama Florence to anyone with any level of cookery experience.

We had a great time at Mama Florence’s cooking class! The building had a great atmosphere and a garden area in a historic part of the city. The staff was welcoming and everything was well organized. They were knowledgeable and also fun to learn from.

The class was very hands on, and we were each involved in every step of the process in preparing the dishes. We learned a lot about the techniques for preparing food. The right way to knead, use a knife, etc.

We ended the class with a 3 course meal with all the participants. Overall, I highly recommend Mama Florence.

Ho partecipato a un corso di pasta fresca a Firenze ed è stata un’esperienza semplicemente straordinaria! Fin dal primo momento siamo stati accolti con calore e professionalità, in un ambiente autentico e curato nei minimi dettagli, nel cuore della città.

Lo chef, appassionato e preparatissimo, ci ha guidati passo dopo passo nella preparazione della vera pasta fresca italiana spiegandoci tecniche, segreti e curiosità sulla tradizione toscana. Ogni spiegazione era chiara e coinvolgente, perfetta sia per principianti che per chi ha già un po’ di esperienza in cucina.

La parte più bella? Mettere letteralmente “le mani in pasta” e poi gustare insieme il risultato del nostro lavoro, accompagnato da ottimo vino locale. Un momento conviviale, divertente e autentico, che mi ha fatto sentire parte della cultura italiana.

Consiglio questo corso a chiunque visiti Firenze e voglia vivere un’esperienza vera, lontana dai soliti

Stefano, the chef, is very approachable, friendly, and professional.

We spent a fantastic afternoon together, and I believe it’s very useful for anyone who wants to approach Italian cuisine. Even though I don’t have much experience in cooking, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot.

I also found it very helpful and lovely that we were given the recipes for everything we cooked together during the class: I’ll try to cook everything on my own at home.

I recommend this experience to everyone!

Esperienza indimenticabile da Mama Florence: cucina autentica, accoglienza perfetta e atmosfera unica

Mama Florence è stata un’esperienza straordinaria dall’inizio alla fine. La scuola di cucina offre un ambiente accogliente, curato e autentico, che ti fa sentire subito parte di una vera cucina toscana. Gli chef sono professionali, preparati e capaci di trasmettere passione, tecnica e tradizione in ogni fase della lezione.

La qualità degli ingredienti è eccellente e ogni ricetta viene spiegata passo dopo passo, rendendo l’esperienza ideale sia per principianti sia per chi ha già dimestichezza ai fornelli. Il corso è perfettamente organizzato, divertente e immersivo, con un’attenzione costante alla cultura gastronomica locale.

Il momento finale a tavola è la ciliegina sulla torta: poter gustare i piatti preparati insieme, accompagnati da ottimi vini toscani, rende tutto ancora più speciale.

Consiglio Mama Florence a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza culinaria autentica a Firenze, imparare davvero qualcosa di nuovo e portare a casa non solo ricette, ma ricordi bellissimi. Assolutamente da provare!

Per una sera ci hanno fatto dimenticare di essere a firenze tra ricette e risate.

Combinare il Tour del Mercato con un'esperienza in cucina è stato incredibile. La passione trasmessa dagli chef, unita al mettere in pratica le skill appena imparate ha reso quest'esperienza qualcosa da raccontare a tutti gli amici.

I cancelled my cooking class and Gelato tour because sadly we had to cancel our family trip to Italy due to my father in law being in the ICU. The company wouldn’t refund us and when they agreed to a partial credit they then renagued. The shouldn’t call themselves “mama” as they don’t care about family.

I JUST READ THE COMPANIES RESPONSE and here are a few follow ups.
-I cancelled because my father in law is fighting for his life in the ICU and we had to cancel our trip. This was cancelled 12 days before we would be in Italy.

-the company said kept emailing me and reneging on their offer!!!!! I agreed to lose half my money on a cooking class and a full refund on a walking tour (because company has no costs of food and rentals).

-the huge language barrier is difficult with this company causing issues with settling for something that is fair and kind.

The absolute best cooking class I have ever been to! Chef Stephano and the entire team were amazing and so engaging and entertaining! The food we made was absolutely delicious! If you’re visiting there, please put it at the top of your list to schedule a cooking class with them!

Organized schedule with an attractive setting. Instructor Roberto was a super chef and easy to understand, plus his recipes were very delicious. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and together produced a wonderful meal.

Filippo thank you for a wonderful fun filled experience. Class is well organised -I would certainly try other classes.

Ho partecipato ad un corso di cucina a Mama a fine giugno per imparare a fare il tortello perfetto ed ho trovato uno chef Bolognese che mi ha insegnato anche a fare i Corzetti liguri! Esattamente quello che mi ci voleva.
