Sold my first home with Manning Stainton at Wakefield. My Move Manager was Ann Rimmington who was incredible. The move took just under 9 months with no fault of the estate agents however I believe this would have taken even longer if it wasn’t for Ann. She completely understood my frustrations and helped wherever she could to get things moving. She went above and beyond what was expected of her, making calls & sending emails to people when it really wasn’t for her to be doing. However, she knew the impact this was having on me and wanted to help. She is an asset to Manning Stainton and I am thankful for all her help throughout a very stressful process

Staff were dishonest about vendors situation when asked.

Estate agent they sent round to do the viewing also lied about property prices in the area.

Harry - was rude on the phone and actually hung up after spending the whole conversation trying to talk over me.

Staff are happy to advertise properties £75-£100k over market value and not manage vendors expectations.

Staff don’t bother getting back to you when you put offers in. Wait for you to call in order to get an update (still waiting to find out if my offers been accepted or not).

Thankfully, the property I want has been on the market for over a year (originally listed £100k above market value) and the vendor is moving to another estate agents next week, so I can purchase via them.

I was really impressed with the way Ann Rimmington, was amazing from start to finish.
As was also Georgie at the Wakefield branch.

We sold our house with Manning Stainton. The valuation was what we expected and the photos taken were excellent.

Our move manager Ann was fantastic. She kept in contact with us and the relevant parts of the chain to keep things moving even when it all seemed to be standing still. Thank you very much for making a stressful time more tolerable!

The house sale seemed to go on for ages with only 3 parties in the chain but this was down to other parties at the bottom of the chain.
Special mention to Ann Remington who gave weekly updates and did a brilliant job chasing the other parties on a regular basis.
Would recommend Manning Stainton for that reason.

From start to finish the whole experience was a nightmare! The communication was extremely poor, I rang them more than they rang me, and when they did ring me it was always ‘you need to do this’ ‘you need to pay for that or else the buyer is pulling out’…. 7 weeks in to the sale! I feel they favoured first time buyers over me, even tho this was my first time selling and buying at the same time. the move manager clearly had too much work on her plate to keep up with. I was strongly advised to allow the buyer and his ‘builder’ brother into my home to then go on to intimidate me and try get me to lower the house price, when I told manning Stainton nothing came of this situation, they put me in that position knowing I lived alone and that these buyers were ‘playing games’ as the move manager said herself. For the £2400 I paid I feel like I was ripped off! Would never recommend! If I could give them a zero star I would!

Mostly good sale completion date had some confusion

Without Manning Staionton managing the purchase of my new house, i don't think it would ever have been sorted.
A pro-active approach and constant communication helped the sale as smoothly as possible.
Ann Rimmington and the team, i do not think the other managing teams would have been able to get this completed in a timely manner.
