This university is just another scam. If you really want to become someone in life, educate yourself and work harder on your own m, not at university. In the end, all you’re left with is debt and a piece of paper that doesn’t guarantee anything

Dear god what an useless waste of time and money. A year later still waiting for my diploma, and of course no phones numbers to contact them and so on "It is not possible to contact UniHelp by phone."... Is basically a big posh, legal scam, and that is just the cream on top of many other issues they have.

Since the increase in international student enrolment from India and the Middle East at Middlesex University, communication processes have deteriorated significantly, creating what feels like a restrictive and inefficient system. The current structure, supported by UniHelp and customer service, has proven ineffective in addressing student concerns and providing meaningful solutions. As one FS said to me this is another way of staying.

I remember David Ring frequently discussing black people in his lessons. Some students felt demoralised by his statements, while other lecturers never mentioned black people in their lectures. Most of us remained silent because we wanted to pass the course. That just my view.

I've waited very long to say these things, mainly because I was told that they're the same everywhere but now that I'm doing my masters at a school that treats its students well and addresses internal issues in a healthy way, I feel like contributing a review might actually change something. The way students are treated at this university is atrocious. During my time there a teacher once more or less "locked" me into a soundproof room with him. The door wasn't locked but he had taken a chair and positioned himself in front of the door so that I would have had to ask him to stand up and move the chair in order to get out. He proceeded to cut me down, telling me I was too old to make a career and that I had no imagination. Etc. There was no place where I could have reported this. Any complaint about a member of staff resulted in being turned back on me and me being blamed and intimidated for it in behaviours that can only be described as vengeful, petty and vindictive. Such as twisting what happened, gaslighting and trying to undermine the student. No one is supported there. The course is poorly designed, I got in trouble multiple times because I had work outside (I was a music student there). Tell me, if I'm already building the career outside of school that you say I can't have, why do you punish me for it? Yes, some of the opportunities were great, and yes, working with a professional chamber orchestra is not something you can have anywhere other than at Conservatoire when you're at a student level. So this is something they do right. But the way one is treated as a student and human being is unbelievable and there is no one to keep an eye on them from the outside, they're "self-regulating", except they're not. If you're considering studying there, don't do it. If you're serious about your subject, run as fast as you can and be very careful to read other universities home pages to see if they have a place where an eye is kept on internal culture and a safe study environment. At the end of the "course" I was so nauseated by the place that I didn't even go to my graduation. Some of the external teachers are great and actually embedded in the industry. But it's too little to hang on to for a three-year-degree and they're probably being treated poorly as well.
The school I'm studying at now really cares about its students and it makes all the difference. Things are addressed in constructive meetings there, nobody is being cut down or locked into a room and after my experience at Middlesex University, I never wanted to go back into academia again, but I'm glad I gave my Master School a chance, because apparently, it CAN be done differently. Don't go here. Seek out a school where you can be safe and where your concerns are taken seriously.

The Fashion course is run by a group elitist tutors who are set in their ways & don’t like anyone to come up with new ideas. The tutoring staff are horrendous & will mark your work down if they do t like you. Be very wary.

Hotbed of Islamic fundamentalists. Staff members are involved in rabid Islamist extra curricula activities which are very intimidating to non Muslims

I studied at Middlesex University for 4 years, they never sent me a certificate with my credits.

Initially the department dealing with it told me mine had been sent to the incorrect address and they were happy to send it over to my current one.

This never happened, now they are asking me to pay for it. I think if you can cash in over £36,000.00 from your students the bare minimum you can do is have a professional team in place in charge of admin. You cannot get through their landlines and when you do they tell you someone else will contact you to help you out. Being contacted by AI generated through your website is seriously pointless.

Please send me my certificate ASAP before this goes further.

Was a student back in 2005 had a specialist sudy support tutor and training at her home for as she had dyslexia the man name was Jeremy Pritchett and he formed a relationship with her which I was sure he abused his power as a personal. He stopped her from finishing her course, stopped her from talking to me, her friends and family I think they had 3 children. I remember she was so nice, very vulnerable for her age and he was very old, old enough to be her dad. I really hope she managed to get away from him in the end. I last heard he married her days after giving birth, and he uses her last name maybe it's to stay in control. I think his in Northampton University now.

I studied here as a foreign student during the coronavirus pandemic. I went through some challenges but they were very receptive to my needs and offered me a lot of support.

I will not recommend this University for Post Graduate Studies. Teachers are not supportive, student help can never get anything sorted without escalation. No clear contact details for complaints. It's a disaster! I had to withdraw for my course and now struggling to get the university to mark me as a leaver and I am being sent from left to right all the time! Appalling! I could give 0 rating if there was an option.

I had a wonderful time attending this university as a post-graduate student. I would highly recommend it to others.

I hesitated a lot before writing this review because I know it is useless and this awful inefficient administration of this library. IT is actually bob or bar and can never be a library or a professional academic place for students to study and produce quality research. Having studied in the UK before, by far this university is my worst experience of all time. Today students in room 216 around 17:07 were flirting with some extras!! A beard guy with "Bushra". What is this exactly? A library? I was not sure if this is a library or place to date and chat and flirt!!! The roamers are not helpful , the silent area is not silent at all and students are of low quality and manner. They grab chairs and make noise and insult when you ask them to tone it down. Besides Annette the library manager who is useless alongside the team. I texted them like 100 times in a few days, spending money to reach out to them to monitor noise and they are not happy even doing their job. I raised complaint to library manager and he was useless and inefficient as his colleagues....useless and awful place. Very disappointing. They call us "students from developing countries"!!! we are way better than them, failures!

The university just keen on making money but never to enable us the environment to study or produce. I am PhD student and I find it the worst place to study. I cannot focus or produce. Students are rude and talk loudly in silent areas!.

I would never recommend this university to anyone!

MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY LONDON

This is in reference to the refund deposit of the student accomodation and the University says they refunded into an account that was clearly requested with them not to do so as it was a closed account and ok now they did it and our bank is trying to help find where is the money vanished....we have been pleading the finance and students grievance council for the swift code details and NO RESPONSE neither they have courtesy to solace us with any alternatives !! Wonder the level of educationto the students in such ambience........

Please can we have a response to our request for swift ID of transfer mde as the bank is asking for the same trying to help us and we are running out of time as my son is winding up from London and scheduled to return home next week or so.

Kindly help us as we have been pleading on this note for a while
