Mike's Mix & Master Avis 

I paid Mike to Mix and Master my album at his “Platinum” tier, and felt good about my decision going in as he had mostly five star ratings at the time.

I am not sure I have ever had such an unprofessional experience. The problems break down to two basic issues:

Communication
Quality

As is reflected in numerous posts on TrustPilot, Mike completely ghosts you for weeks on end. I am a pretty patient person, and I understand life happens sometimes, but to not communicate—at all—is unacceptable. This occurred despite numerous (7-10) emails and texts over the span of two months which went ignored.

I submitted the stems for two of the album tracks to get the ball rolling. Just two. After a couple of weeks after submitting my stems, I reached out with “How are the tracks coming along? Do you need anything else?”…nothing came back. A few more days went by and I asked for any updates or a general timeline for getting the first mixes back…this went on and on without any communication from Mike, until one day, several weeks later, I got the mixes and he asked if I felt they were ready to be mastered.

The mixes were absolutely horrible. The rough mix I sent him was infinitely better. It sounded like he just took the stems, slapped them into a bounce and sent it back. I probably should have just said “do better and send me a real mix”, but instead I took the time and effort to go through specifically the improvements that needed to be made to get it to at least approach my mix to start…it was very basic stuff like relative volume levels, which were wildly off, and extremely muddy mixes. I sent the notes to Mike. You can basically read the previous paragraph to find out what happened; ghosted again, except this time I never heard back. For weeks.

Finally, I emailed and said that I was terminating the relationship and wanted a refund of 80% of my payment, which was very generous on my part given that we hadn’t even broken the surface of getting a “Platinum level” album done. Interestingly, to this email he responded within a couple of hours saying he was sorry and he thought what I proposed was fair and that he would process the refund.

It has been weeks and I have neither received my refund nor heard from Mike despite giving him my Venmo and Zelle info. Nothing, despite me reaching out once again with several unanswered emails. I am considering my legal options at this point.

I obviously would not recommend Mike’s Mix and Master to anyone. I don’t know if something is going on in his life to explain how a five star service can become a one star service so rapidly. If some life event is going on, he has my compassion and at a personal level I can kind of understand. But on the professional side of things, I can’t accept the poor level of quality and communication I experienced.

The entire process was fantastic from start to finish. Mike provides clear and easy instructions for electronic submission of stems and reference material, and then fully communicates during the course of project management. For this session Mike acted as a trusted mix engineer as well as providing my final master - both of which were outstanding. Pricing was all fully communicated up front, and the value for the service was immediately recognized. Competitive pricing for a superior product with excellent customer service made this one of the best experiences I've had in this industry.

I posted a 5 star review on 4/6 that you can see if you scroll down. Mike did amazing work on my my song and got everything back to me 6 days from the time I sent the project to him. I was convinced I found my guy moving forward. But things changed after this.

I sent another song in late May. This one took longer to get to me (3 weeks) but it was sent with an apology for the delay and lack of communication. He told me he had some personal issue that pulled him away from work. I told him I understood and I figured it was an anomaly. I decided I wouldn’t hold it against him.

My latest project was sent 7/9. After 2 1/2 weeks, he sent me the mix (07/26). I approved of it and told him we can move to mastering. It’s been 2 weeks and I have yet to get my master. But not only that, I have yet to get even a response to all the emails I sent regarding it.

I’ve reached out to both Mikesmixmaster@gmail and well as the contact@ one. I will say that from the beginning he was not one for email correspondence. If it had to do with a revision to the mix he’d respond but other than that there was no communication. To be ghosted like this is not consistent with the majority of his reviews but one of his more recent reviews details an experience consistent with mine and I have had this happen for my last two tracks. So there is a pattern beginning to emerge.

I will not assume this is a scam which such little evidence. But I do suspect that something has happened that has affected Mike’s ability to conduct business the way he did in the past.

In any case, I do not believe this is the best time to work with this man. I strongly recommend against it. It’s a shame cause he did such great work. But I guess I’ll be shopping for a new engineer.

On june 1/ 2026, since they got my 175 payment, never heard a word back from them, they vanished, disappeared, I uploaded the files, files were never downloaded, sent emails with no response and the phone calls automatically ends from their side.

I am a home hobbyist and a complete novice when it comes to music production/audio engineering. I was intimidated by the idea of finishing some songs on my own and wasn't going to send anything out at all until I found Mike's website. I'm so glad I did because my ears tell me this is easily the best money I've ever spent on a project.

Mike is incredibly organized and efficient but he also takes the time to answer questions, which I appreciate. He knew exactly what I was going for and knocked it out of the park like he was in the room when I wrote the songs. It was a lot of fun to be able to relax and hear my ten songs change for the better, all the way from my home stems to Mike's mixes to the final masters. To say that I am thrilled with his work is the truth while also an understatement. I look forward to working with him again and will absolutely be doing so as soon as possible.

I had some imperfections in my track that these guys identified and rectified giving the track a good sound. They were quick and replied to all questions expediently and with detail.

Mike’s work left me absolutely speechless. He mixed the song only once, and nailed it! Truly autonomous, creative, and precise in every detail. The mix and mastering quality are outstanding.
Even though the song is in Portuguese Language, he didn’t miss a single thing. He perfectly captured the emotion, balance, and space of the music.
It was perfect, professional, clean, emotional, and powerful.

Buyer Beware – Disappointing Experience with Mike’s Mix and Master

I ordered a mix and master service from Mike, costing around $200. After waiting two weeks, he sent me what he described as the “first mix,” but it sounded like he had simply bounced all the tracks together with little to no actual mixing effort—something I could have done myself.

I promptly replied, explained my concerns, and requested a refund, as I realized the project required sitting in a studio with someone in person to achieve the quality I needed. Unfortunately, I never received a reply. I followed up again, but Mike never responded.

In the end, Mike took the money, delivered a poor-quality product, and then ghosted me completely. I strongly recommend avoiding this service—please beware.

Friendly, professional service. Mike answered all of my questions in a very timely manner and delivered a final product that I'm happy with. Can't really ask for more than that. If you're looking for an engineer to finalize your song, just go with Mike. You will not be disappointed.

This was an amazing experience. I love my mix, and I will definitely be back very soon with future projects.
