I’ve been a loyal Mugler customer for years and have never had an issue with any of their perfumes — or with any fragrance from any brand. That’s why I was so shocked when, after using my latest purchase, I developed red spots and itching directly on the area where I applied it.
I reported this to Mugler customer services straight away and provided all the details they asked for. Despite explaining that this is the first time ever I’ve had an allergic reaction to one of their products, I’ve received no follow‑up advice, no reassurance, and no guidance on whether this could indicate a faulty or unsafe batch. I also requested a refund, as I can’t safely use the perfume, but this has been completely ignored.
For a brand I’ve trusted for so long, the lack of response is really disappointing. When a product causes a physical reaction, customers deserve proper support and accountability. I’m still waiting for any kind of resolution.

My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, particularly given the nature of the issue I reported. After experiencing a significant reaction to one of their fragrances — something I have never encountered with any cosmetic product — I contacted their customer service team to raise a potential safety concern.
Initially, my emails were ignored entirely. It took multiple attempts before I received any form of acknowledgement, which is concerning in itself when a customer is reporting a possible product safety issue.
When I finally did receive a response, the communication was inconsistent and lacked clarity. One advisor confirmed that a refund would be issued, and I provided all evidence requested, including proof of purchase and documentation of the reaction. However, after this agreement was made, the company reversed its position and insisted that I return the product at my own cost before any resolution could be considered. This requirement was never mentioned at the outset.
I also submitted a formal complaint, which was not acknowledged or addressed. Instead, the communication became repetitive and circular, with no meaningful engagement with the core issues raised — namely, the potential safety concern, the inconsistency in their responses, and the refusal to provide a cost‑free return method in a situation involving a possible product fault.
The overall handling of this matter suggests a lack of internal coordination, inadequate escalation procedures, and an absence of appropriate customer‑care standards. The company’s approach did not reflect the level of responsibility or transparency one would reasonably expect when a potential safety issue is reported.
Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage the company to review its processes around complaint handling, product safety concerns, and the consistency of information provided to customers.

My Mugler order arrived with the box clearly tampered with. The main item was missing, and the included samples had been opened and used.
When I contacted customer service, they refused to acknowledge the tampering and instead claimed the item was “out of stock” before issuing a refund. Yet the product was still showing as available online. By the time they told me this, the Black Friday sale had ended, meaning I would have to pay more money to repurchase the item I should have received in the first place.
I didn’t want a refund — I wanted the item I ordered. Their dismissive response ignored the tampering, denied accountability, and left me disadvantaged financially. A refund alone is not enough when trust, product integrity, and fairness are compromised

I have been a customer of mugler for over 35 years and spend a lot of money. I have the app with the calling circle where you can receive points for entering the codes from inside the box of your perfume.
I recently purchased 3 perfumes 2 from mugler online and 1 from The Range , when I received them I entered my unique codes which should have amounted to 900 points but my points never registered. I already have 930 and when the points where added I was going to order my free gift of 10 mls of perfume which amounted to 1800 points.
I’m pretty annoyed about this especially after calling customer service and being told to email my complaint along with pics of my unique codes which I did through the app and still no points added. This is false selling and feel I’ve been cheated and out of principle will not be using the Mugler site again. Your loss Mugler ! and might I add in all the years I have used this app never a problem until Mugler has changed hands and gone over to L’Oréal Group 😡
I've worn Angel (original) for over 25 years. I've always loved it and had so many positive comments over the years that I would never have thought of switching to a different perfume. However last week I purchased a refill for my Star and it smelled dreadful, it smelled of chemicals and was unrecognisable as the beautiful Angel scent I've been wearing. I thought maybe it had 'gone off' so I returned it to the store for a refund. I've been to a completely different store today to try some Angel on again, before purchasing, but sadly it's the same awful chemical, unrecognisable smell. I don't know what they've done to Angel but it no longer smells anything like the scent I've been wearing. I'm so disappointed. What have you done to it? I've read other reviews from Angel users who feel the same, so I will no longer be purchasing Angel until it goes back to its original, glorious smell.

I love womanity. But I won’t be buying from Mugler again. I’ll be sticking to high end companies that value customers. I bought my perfume, it stated quite clearly as an enticement to buy, 3 free samples with every order. I didn’t receive the samples. Emailed Mugler, had a reply saying samples are only if they’re available, which that doesn’t say clearly .. replied asking if they’d post them to me and received what I thought was a sarcastic reply saying as much happiness a few vials of joy can bring they’re not always available..and -million-pound companies aren’t immune to the laws of logistics. Thanks Mugler, mugged off by you’re office staff..

Recently bought a refill bottle of Aura, which was quite pricey. Little did I know they have watered down the formula, which means it doesn't last all day like the previous formula, if a formula has changed it really should be noted on the website!! Add to this they have changed the loyalty scheme, you can't just purchase your earnt loyalty points like you could before, now you have to purchase something (making you spend even more money...) to use your points. Incredible... not impressed with Loreal now they have changed things, luckily I have other brands to go to now :)

I ordered a perfume from Mugler, with their 1st order 15% discount. They said the order would arrive within 3-5 days. After a few days of not hearing from them, I contacted Mugler to ask about my order. That is when they told me that actually the product is out of stock and my order had been cancelled, I hadnt been informed of this, my money hadnt been refunded and I had not received any contact from them. Lovely perfume but very very poor customer service
UPDATE: Mugler has sent me another discount code and have responded to my query very quickly. Going to try again because I do love the scent of their perfume.

Although Mother's Day isn't until two days time and my mum hasn't opened her presents yet, Alien is a perfume she's used in the past so I know she'll absolutely love it! The gift set was exactly what I was looking for, surprisingly fairly priced, super fast dispatch and delivery. I highly recommend shopping with Mugler! Great product - Great service!

I was pleased to find my mum's favourite perfume (Angel) available in the UK as last few times I needed to rely on buying those from duty free during my travels.
I created an account on their website and was pleased to see that as a welcome bonus they instantly sent me the voucher for 15% off when I spend £50! Bonus. Well it would be if the actual code worked. I tried several times but no luck. Still wanting to buy a Xmas gift for my mum I decided to proceed thinking that contacting their customer services would solve the issue and refund could be issued for the code which I was not able to use. I contacted them few minutes after placing the order. Hmmm Customer Service they advertise on their website is non existent. Over the past couple weeks I have message them three times and... still nothing. Not even an apology or any form of contact. I appreciate this can be a busy time but taking more than 2 weeks to respond to a simple query is simply taking a p***
Every time I sent the message I receive an automated email stating that the query was received and I will be contacted shortly!?!? Maybe the only way to get their attention is to post the bad review on here?

I’m extremely disappointed with Mugler’s service. I recently ordered a jacket, a bag, and a belt, spending a significant amount of money. When the package arrived, the box was damaged, which I found very concerning. Given the high value of the items, I decided to record myself opening it. To my shock, the jacket was missing from the package.
I immediately contacted customer service and opened a case. It has now been over 11 days, and I have received no updates or resolution. This level of service is unacceptable, especially considering that this jacket was meant to be a Christmas gift.
Mugler, I expected much better from a luxury brand. I trusted you with this purchase, and you’ve let me down. I need this issue resolved immediately.

Ordered Aura a discontinued perfume from another company with no problems,then saw it was even cheaper direct from mugler!
Scan your packages regardless where you purchased from and receive pionts for prizes.Many discounts and free samples. My refil arrived in a fabulous box if it wasn't for me it would have made a nice prezzie with how it was packed ! You get even more discounts when you order again,my perfume was with me on the morning of the 3rd day from ordering. So many incentives when you order direct.I will be ordering again without a doubt.Great service from start to finish.

I purchased a 50ml bottle of Womanity from Mugler website. This perfume is discontinued and is my all time favourite scent. I was totally disappointed as the perfume was off! I contacted Mugler by email and they responded asking me to send proof of purchase and batch number, which I did immediately. I heard absolutely nothing after that. I emailed them many times but still nothing. I opened a case via PayPal on 8th November and still heard nothing. I continued to ask on the open case why they were unresponsive, still nothing! After 19 days I received a message on the open case from Mugler asking me to close the case and a representative will contact me within a few minutes. I told them I would not close the case until I have been refunded and I asked them to tell me the address of where to return the perfume to. Still I got nothing back from them. This was yesterday, and today I went into my account and found that PayPal have closed the case in the seller's favour. I have spoken to PayPal who tell me they sent a email to me 4 days ago requesting that I escalate the case, but I haven't received any such email and I have checked my Junk/Spam and there is nothing from them. I am absolutely FURIOUS that I spent £55.20 on that perfume and I'm stuck with it. It smells absolutely awful. Stay clear of Azzaro Mugler!!

Not happy at all. The whole process is unprofessional and lacking in all areas. Recieved the bonus items but not the expensive gift set I bought. You receive so many emails but they are useless as you can't track anything.
After calling customwr service who said the gift set was not packed I the order as the money wasnt took from my bank on there side a issue. but they will refund me? Money was actually took from my account so that's rubbish and I was refunded. So i dont see why the gift set was not sent. Customer service was very helpful but I feel I have no real explanation to what happened.
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

Awful customer care , the worst I’ve experienced in 40 years ! immensely lacked customer care, compassion and appreciation towards their loyal customers ! They failed to replace a faulty item and lacked interest in finding a reasonable solution instead they offered a 15% discount for my next purchase , utterly ridiculous! Considering 15% discounts and 20% ones are always available online !
Extremely dissatisfied with their customer care as it remains inadequate.
Changed the formulation of the original Alien without advising its loyal customer base.

Don’t buy from them online, They’re going to scam you, We’re going to tell you To write a specific email to get a return you’re gonna write it and then we’re gonna tell you it’s not the right department even though it is on the pack. The department is open a few hours a day and it’s only in the US so you have to pay for the call, You have to give back what you bought in 15 days but it’s one week straight, but I’m contacting the Mugler service, and they won’t respond to me regardless, I even called the number but no response at all.
