No Clear Understanding from Jump
There wasn't anything with a clear understanding. Got started, and was ready to take my 1st exam and I have to go to a campus. I also have to turn in Paperwork, that I was unaware of before hand. So, watch what you are paying for..

Hi Olivia! Thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry the testing process wasn't as clear as you expected when you enrolled.
Essential Education provides online GED and HiSET preparation, while official exams are scheduled separately through the testing service. Testing locations and requirements can vary by state, and we appreciate your feedback about making that distinction clearer.
I'd also like to help personally, so I'll be reaching out directly to provide more information about your testing options and next steps. We appreciate the opportunity to assist!
All the best,

I left high school early and haven't touched a book in years, so taking the GED felt terrifying. Essential Education made it so easy and didn't break the bank it's super affordable and worth every dollar . The lessons are short, clear, and break big math and reading topics into tiny steps that actually stick in your brain. If you've been out of school for a while this program is a great value.

Not the best option
The practice questions stay the same, making it easy to 100% everything, not really the best for helping pass a ged test, for 25 a month you’d think you have a teacher new material to really study certain areas, it’s really basic

Very frustrated
Well, I signed up for it. As soon as it took me to my homeroom, it asked me to pick classes based on where I’m located so I chose Texas. However, when I try to pick classes, it asks me to pay again. And it just goes in a continual loop. I shot an email to a young lady trying to explain and she didn’t understand what I meant. Very frustrated.

Hi Roger,
I apologize for the experience you've had. The program should not be asking you to pay again during the intake process, so something isn't working as expected. It sounds like this may be related to a browser cache issue. Could you please try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then sign in again? Here are instructions to help with that: https://www.essentialed.com/students/help/article/how-do-i-clear-my-cache-and-why-do-i-need-to-clear-it
We're also reaching out to you directly to help troubleshoot the issue and make sure you can access your courses. Thank you for your patience, and again, I'm sorry for the frustration.

Return
I am 75 years old and am trying to obtain my GED so that I am able to apply for jobs requiring a diploma or GED. I was taking your course but my memory isn't what it used to be and you don't have a workbook for each course so that I can review espcially before taking the exam. Tori Schoenfeld helped me with a refund and gave me other options so that I may be able to get my GEDthrough you.

Well, i'm just getting started. Not sure why they want reviews right away. So far so good. It's very easy to use and understand and I feel like I am actually learning something. I'm studying for my GED
I haven't been in school for almost 40 years.

I do enjoy the online lessons
I do enjoy the online lessons, but became very frustrated. Iam having issues with the math and don’t know who can help, or someone that could explain it to me. Otherwise it is great.
