Suspicious Pen & Stationery Website - Potential Scam
This store had an item (ink blotter) that I was having trouble finding in other stores at a much lower price than I’d seen it elsewhere. I looked more at other items like inks and stationery, and all their prices were shockingly low, beyond anything I’d ever seen at comparable pen stores. The footer of their website claimed to be “Trusted” business according to TrustPilot, and given the low price I figured I’d look at reviews on TrustPilot before completing my order.
After much querying on TrustPilot, I realized they were not a “Trusted” business and did not even have a page set up let alone any reviews. I returned to look through the shop’s website further and realized their about us section is a partially completed standard form for an AI/tech company (with some placeholder language left in), not a pen shop. Its stated address (303 Cedar Lane in Parma, OH) also did not appear to exist on Google Maps.
Since I did not proceed with the order, I cannot verify whether the items would have ever been sent, but the website has many red flags, and every indication from my brief inquiry is that it is a scam. If you decide to roll the dice and order from them (which I would not), do so with extreme caution.
