Penguin Travel Avis 

We are very happy to have made our first trip with Penguin Travel. The price of the trip was very attractive compared to other similar providers. The value for money was fully met (accommodation, food, transportation). A recommendation to Penguin would be better, more timely communication with trip participants would help everyone. By that we mean that two weeks before arrival we still hadn't received any information about pickup, hotels, etc. We only received this information after contacting you by telephone. The local guide for the city tour in Georgetown/Guyana was outstanding of all the local guides on the trip. We were also very satisfied with the Penguin guide Andrej. He always informed us in detail about everything regarding the trip. We are happy to recommend the Penguin Travel program and we are looking forward for next trip with Penguin.

This is my 2nd time with Penguin tours , and I am happy traveling with this company . Our tour leader for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain was Dimitar Mihaylov. He is such great tour leader . I had a very nice experience with him during the tour . He knew exactly how to handle his guests in certain circumstances that is out of his control. I can see his patience and understanding with each and everyone of us belonging to different cultures . Dimitar you did a great job leading your tourist.
Re Saudi tour and itinerary , it was great . Saudi Arabia is beautiful . Very progressive country . Had a great time most especially visiting the souk ( gold, gold,gold ) if you are interested in golds , this is the perfect place ) and also the per place to buy abayas and hijabs , different styles and very cheap . I have been to different middle East countries who required us to wear abayas and very limited that I can find plus it’s not good at all . So if you go to Saudi , and planning to travel more countries need abayas , this is the perfect place to buy ( Jeddah). My only recommendation is spending more time visiting the mosques. I did enjoy eating dates , fresh dates . All the hotel’s that we were checked in was very good . Big rooms and clean . You have to visit Saudi Arabia , it’s a must to see and don’t forget to visit Edge of the World .
Dimitar went with us in Bahrain as our extension trip and he arranged tour for us . It is a happy place for people from Saudi Arabia . Maybe only 2 hours drive from Saudi to Bahrain . I had a great time in Bahrain , for 2 days we have visited so many places . I wish we have stayed longer . We visited the souk by ourselves . Uber is everywhere so you can also go to some places when your tour is done . I have tasted in Bahrain my best beef burger ever . So much to say but you have to visit it yourself . Well recommended to go to Saudi and don’t forget Bahrain as your extension . And Penguin tours is well recommended !! Good job Dimitar , you made the difference .

Very interesting tour with lots of different things to see. Rock paintings in Somaliland, snorkeling with whale sharks, and visit to the spectacular Lake Abbé in Djibouti were some of the highlights. Can really recommend this tour. Most of it is made with 4-wheel drive vehicles. Accomodation was good and the local food was really appreciated.

I just got back from a tour of the Guyanas, and while we got to do all of the things that were listed on the itinerary, it felt like communication was lacking from the moment I started interacting with Penguin. They never responded to my initial booking inquiry or my friend's booking inquiry. It took them 20 weeks to get back to me with an estimate for the cost of the transfer at the end of the tour, and then several more emails to get the name of the hotel for the first night (so I could book an extra night there). Then on the tour, we were rarely given information about what to expect aside from "be ready to leave at 7am," and when we visited the Salvation Islands and someone asked our tour leader what the highlights were on the island, he responded, "Look at the map."

It felt as though the tour leader was ill-informed about the details of the trip, which shouldn't have been the case because Penguin has run this trip before. It's a shame because the actual activities were all great, but not knowing what to expect or having answers to questions made the experience less than ideal.

We have just returned from a weeklong tour with Penguin with a Local tour guide Wasim. He was witty knowlegeable entertaining . He kept us interested and excited about each province we visited of his beloved country. I would highly recommend this tour we took along with the ABLE Alert organized tour director Nezzy! Syria now is my most Favorite Visited country in the Middle East!

My Syria visit with Penguin Travel was an amazing one . Thanks to our local tour guide Wasim and our tour leader from Penguin travel Nesi. It bought a lot of history that I was just reading before became live infront of me . The Christianity and Muslim prospective became more clear and each point of view is to be respected .
The organization / scheduling of this trip is top notch . The choice of hotels esp Beit Alwali is superb. The local people that I have the privilege to be with during this trip made me understand the country better .
I will put more stars than 5 if I can . This is a fantastic tour . One of my favorite in the Middle East trip
I will definitely recommend this to all the world Travellers out there . I love it so much that I am still dreaming about it until now

Everything was perfect!

We had a lovely trip through the beautiful Bulgarian countryside with many beautiful and interesting highlights. Our guide and driver Biliana is a kind and caring person with lots of humor who told about the history and present of Bulgaria. Sofia is a lovely city.

In 2023, I have joined extremely interesting trips organized by Penguin Travel. The destinations (Iraq, Pakistan, Angola and Chad) are so heterogeneous that any attempt to compare them would be nonsense. What I can confirm is that Penguin managed each one of these trips in a very efficient and customer-oriented way. Dimo and his team are committed to delivering unforgettable experiences. Besides, they regularly enhance their itineraries to adapt to changing conditions and to optimize the tour scope. All my groups were small, which contributed to a very friendly environment throughout the trips. I look forward to joining other Penguin tours in the near future.

My 5 Stand trip with Penguin was incredible, it was a well thought out itinerary and the perfect mix of nature and culture. I like the small group too. Accommodation was really good and great value tour. Georgi our tour leader was fab. I'll definitely travel with Penguin again.

Overall the tour was well organised went like clockwork and was well balanced regarding sights to visit and experience

I did the 5 stans tour just recently and was impressed with how packed the itinerary was. Every day had new surprises and the balance between nature, culture and architecture and history was fabulous. Georgi our tour leadee galvanized the group of 11 and all of us regularly interacted with each other. Of particular note was how Georgi choose to also spend his "down time" with the group going to dinner and casual activities even when not "on the clock". It's a sign of a very engaged and great tour leader. I am already looking forward to my next penguin tour!

Itinerary was excellent over 3wks.
Price was good. Home stay, yurt, as well as hotel were generally good except for hotel Seven at beginning(breakfast in refrigerator which we have to microwave.) and last hotel in Turkmanistan. Bathroom was not clean, even has no cup in room or bathroom.
Our guide was George which our team loved him for his leadership, consciousness, trouble shooting ability, and manage local guides as well as driver.
All we wished to come back to one of stans in future.

We had a 6 night. Walking tour in Bulgaria. Andrey our guide was great, and the alpine scenery was spectacular.
The walks did take us to the limit of our energy levels but we all felt so much better for it.
Overnight stay in a mountain hut was special and the group felt so well looked after. Thank you Penguin and Andrey

My compliments to the Penguin agency and the wonderful tour leader Georgi for the trip to the 5 Stans. I admit that I had some doubts when I booked the place, but I assure you that everything was beautiful! Georgi is a person who went out of his way to give us a pleasant holiday and we had no unpleasant surprises. On a positive note I would like to say that this tour could be improved by adding some more time in Kazakhstan and maybe dropping a day in Uzbekistan, but that's just my personal opinion! The accommodations were as expected, Georgi's availability second to none, and I'm personally really looking forward to my next Penguin vacation as I've seen them travel all over the world. Maximum mark for organization...10!🔝❤️😁

I've just returned from a 3 weeks trip with Penguin travel and I highly recommend this agency for being professionals and for paying so much attention to people's needs and for the success of the trip as well. It was my first trip with them but for sure it won't be my last one. Thank you Georgi, and thank you Penguin travel for such a unique and marvellous trip like 5 Stans!

Excellent company. They hire really professional guides and the timeline of all the trips is done really well.

I thoroughly enjoyed this 14 day trip in the Balkans. I was extremely impressed with our tour guide, Dimitar. This was his first official tour which he lead. He dealt with a few travelers who were really difficult people to please even though they are self proclaimed world travelers. Thank you to Dimitar’s leadership that kept things smooth as to not disappoint other travelers’ experience. I will most definitely plan to travel with Penguin again…hopefully those handful of “world travelers” will NOT be a part of any future trips.
