Period Home Avis 

No communication for 4 days on an item with 24 hour delivery - I had to chase them to find out the item was out of stock, and had been for some time, on back order for 2 months. I am now £600 out of pocket until their scheduled refund run takes place (why is their slow process my issue??).

Bad business behaviour.

I purchased a series of Cast Iron Radiators from Period House, Richmond, North Yorkshire and absolutely delighted with the quality, design and aesthetics they bring to our home.
Some months later, as part of a central heating pipework re-route, I must now purchase additional valve accessories and the support I am being given surrounding best choice, price and delivery, is really appreciated.

Purchased Valves and Wall Stays from Period House Store, Emma and the team were fantastic at offering advice on finishes and what options were available. The products arrived promptly with great communication from both Period House Store and thier couriers. Excellent product and easy to install, what's not to love!

Ordered Arroll radiators through Period house store, service was exceptional and they guided me through the list of choices and finishes. We placed the order and given an estimated lead time. Radiators where delivered and are now fitted. They look fab. Thanks to all at the Period house store .

Great company to deal with , really helpful people on the telephone. The advice I received before purchasing my radiators helped ensure when they arrived that I had everything that I needed and the exact finish I wanted .

Order was made on 24 Feb. Now (15 March) I have had to call to report that I have received nothing. The company seems to have no control over the supply chain - it outsourced the delivery to another company and so had no information regarding the delivery process (or lack of it). Save yourself time and money - shop elsewhere

The fireplace tiles are absolutely gorgeous - beautiful subtly luminous glaze with traditional relief moulding and elegant retro design. They are works of art, and we love them! Also very impressed with and grateful for Period House Store's integrity and kindness - they were super helpful when we broke one of our tiles and found a replacement for us quickly and at a negligible charge (another company was going to charge us £30 for the same tile!).

From my inital call regarding stock availability to the delivery, I have no complaints at all. Customer service was great. And competitive prices too.

Fantastic service from the guys at Period House Store, nothing is ever too much trouble. I've placed a few orders for radiators from them and will continue to do so, they looking stunning in our home.

Period house is a truly inspiring place to go to. We bought door handles and cast iron radiators. They were friendly, insightful and knowledgeable about the products. The products arrived timely and more then lived up to expectations. I can honestly recommend anyone for amazing service and fantastic products.

Period House Store are always helpful and knowledgable with regards to their radiators. The radiators are always high quality and arrive promptly. I thought the level of customer service was very good.

First Class Service, nothing seems to be too much bother for this Company. We have purchased Stone Flooring, Doors and Ironmongery from here.

Ordered two doors.
Delivery was longer than expected but sales lady was very helpful and chased their supplier immediately. Soon after this their supplier texted me with a delivery date.

Delivery took place at the time the supplier said. Delivery man was friendly and helpful.

Quality of doors supplied was excellent.

Would have given 5 stars but deducted one for late delivery.

On purchasing I was told a delivery time of two weeks which then moved back to three even though the reason I went with this company initially was due to the two week delivery time. The company were on hand and kept in contact and did their best to get them to me as fast as possible. However on the day the were due to arrive I heard nothing from the delivery company who were exceptionally rude and unhelpful when I called to see where they were, however they did confirm they would be arriving by 5 . I had taken a day off work for the delivery and had to pay the builders to be there as I had been told that no help would be given to get these really heavy cast iron radiators into the house. It was raining and I was on my own and having paid over one and a half thousand pounds then had to book and pay the builders to take the radiators inside. HOWEVER the radiators didn’t arrive and I heard absolutely nothing from the delivery company who then didn’t answer the phone all weekend. There was no email address provided. Period house store contacted them and re arranged delivery but we were on holiday so I had to contact the builders again and pay them to take the radiators inside. This shambles cost me an extra six hundred pounds on top of the radiator costs. As I am currently working on renovations, I would only use period house store again if they had changed delivery company.

We have used Period House Store several times for loads of different high end bathroom items, and always really pleased with the end result, occasionally where items are faulty etc they have replaced with no issues or they have helped us track down specific items not on their web site. Can sometimes be a little slow to get back to you, but bear with them as always do, and always very friendly and helpful. They also give good discounts when asked. Its hard to find an online shop to trust, but learned to trust these guys over the last 6 years we've used them. Pleased with latest Caron bespoke painted radiators buy this month.

Items not received - very slow customer service make false promises to deliver and completely fail to do so. They have taken my money without providing the goods - this is basically theft. Avoid at all costs.

I have purchased 6 Carron radiators from the Period House Store, costing thousands of pounds. Twice I have had faults, which in itself is beyond belief given the cost. I really shouldn't have gone back after the first fault but I wanted to match up my radiators. Both times it has cost me in additional plumbing fees which Carron will not reimburse (T&Cs trump customer loyalty and poor workmanship). It has also cost me valuable personal time having to constantly chase the PHS who have rarely replied to my emails. I will not be returning.

Ordered a Davenport lock and a door knob highlighting the fact that the door knob was for the lock at time of ordering. Lock had a lot more dark colouring than brass and not true representation of picture shown on website. Also missing a screw. The lock was also very difficult to turn with the key as it was not a very good fit. Knob was not suitable for lock as did not fit and had a plastic ring around it not shown on their website. Was told over the phone that they would let me know if knob could be adapted and whether they could order another suitable screw for the lock. Did not hear back from them.

Second phone call and was told I would receive a refund and postage would also be refunded. Sent items back and was refunded for the items but was not refunded the £14 it cost me to send items back.

I do not recommend this company and would not use them again, which is a pity because I am currently renovating a very large Victorian property.
