All Marketing, disappointing functionality
I’ve been buying cycling apparel for 40 years now. Pongo’s socks are very well marketed and designs are exceptional. Unfortunately the functionality is at best average. Thin, slippy and a fraction too long. After a few washes the slippy feeling eased. I have socks from all major manufacturers and most are better, Decathlon even! Being ‘manufactured in Italy’ the home of Santini, Castelli, Sportful you’d imagine they would be perfect?
Accused of stealing a pair of socks!
I ordered 2 pairs of socks with a 3rd pair free. 2 pairs arrived I thought ' okay I'm not getting my free pair... they looked far too big and you can't open the packet so I returned them with cert of posting from royal mail, Pongo said only one pair were returned accused me of keeping a pair and went on to say it was one pair + one free pair! WHAT £36 for a pair of socks!. They refunded me for 1 pair .. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.. you can't open packets and try anything on.. I did not keep a pair of socks!! I didn't want to star the company at all 😡
Bad fit, returns policy is garbage
Shipped slowly. The fit is appalling, and after spending £27 I'm told that by trying it on you cannot return. Expensive way to buy socks!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Partner purchased 6 pairs of socks with tracked delivery. They’ve not arrived after 14 days, and PONGO are not responding at all. No respect for the paying consumer.

I ordered some socks and chose next day delivery. They came one week later after much chasing. The socks seem great, but customer service and delivery were a real let down. I was also disappointed to see that each pair of socks were packaged in a heavy duty bag. This seems unnecessary to me and we should be more mindful of the environment and wastage.
Bastante desastroso
Just placed my second order
Just placed my second order. These are a fantastic product. They fit well, look great and wash really well. Suddenly started to notice that lots of cyclists wear them. Great product and great customer service.
Pongo your Customer Services stinks!
Ordered socks. Paid next day.
Weren’t dispatched.
Contacted Pongo, auto reply saying very busy don’t worry your order is in hand (words to this effect I am paraphrasing).
Still weren’t dispatched second afternoon so emailed again and got a reply saying ‘we have thousands of happy customers’. So basically I shouldn’t be unhappy they they charged me for next day but not sent them. Awful customer services. Told I’d get a refund of the next day but not seen that. When they turned up not even that great product. And so much packaging, I thought these companies were trying to be a bit greener. Anyway, 1 star for Pongo, use another reputable brand, you’ll save money.
Low quality product, horrendous customer service
I have been looking for a new supplier of cycling socks and Pongo seemed to fit the bill. Small business, UK based, interesting designs.
I bought 4 pairs initially to give them a go but was immediately disappointed to find that one sock developed a hole in the toe after only 2 washes. I assumed this was an erroneous manufacturing fault so emailed Pongo to let them know and seek a replacement. 3 months and 4 emails later they have not replied to a single message. I know they are receiving my emails because I get an automated response, which, ironically tells me how much they pride themselves in their customer service. Based on my experience this is a complete lie - they have not responded to a single email. I even informed them I was planning to write an honest review of their products and customer service to give them an opportunity to make amends but still no response. I will not be buying from Pongo again and would urge anyone looking to purchase from them to reconsider. Le Col, for example, have outstanding quality products and customer service in my experience.

I asked if they would change socks I got for Christmas without a receipt but they wouldn’t.
Socks still unopened in packet.
Bought lots of socks in the past but no more
Solved A Problem
I ordered socks before Christmas but they never came. The shop realised it must have been lost in the post and sent me another pair which I am very thankful for. The other pair never reached me.
Poor quality socks which develop holes in the toe box very quickly
The colour fade (which happens fairly quickly) I could live with but I have owned upwards of 20 pairs of their socks (they seem to have cornered the market for bright solid coloured socks in a range of colours). Each pair has failed at the toe box with holes appearing after a few months of wearing them and each time I think maybe it was a bad batch and give them another chance. My most recent two pairs however developed holes in the toe box after just two wears so I contacted their customer support only to be fobbed off saying I need to keep the socks away from sharp objects whatever that means. Maybe they think toes are sharp objects and are therefore display-only socks? Either way, a real shame and I'll be looking somewhere else for a quality pink sock in the future.
Terrible product, even worse customer service
Bought a couple of their (now discontinued) Aero socks and you can see the product is flawed from the moment you get them.
They have two silicon strips that are supposed to keep them in place but sadly they don’t.
Also, these silicon strips come covered in plastic so they don’t stick to each other. But some genius decided to stitch the back of this plastic strips to the back of the socks, and it’s impossible to remove them without leaving some bits that will eventually cause discomfort.
If the product sounds terrible their customer service is even more disappointing as it seems like they believe their own hype and don’t have time to deal with their problems.
Don’t buy into the “Pongo hype”: check their reviews and give them a very wide berth!
Too big
They're fine but their socks are too big. I bought size S/M (size 4-8) and I am a size 6 and they're still too big. I can't imagine how people with anything other than size 7 and 8 sized feet could feet (I mean fit) these properly

I bought 2 pairs of socks on August 27 and haven't received anything :-( .....I've emailed a few times but don't even get an answer. How can I solve this?
Great selection, Customer service fast and thorough
Have worn pongo socks for many years and the latest range has loads of options, for all ride conditions and plenty of colour combinations to go with my different kits. Customer service has been amazing - fast and thorough replies when I’ve had queries. Really impressed.
Pongo in excessive packaging - packaging review only
I have ordered a couple of colourful socks as a birthday present for a cyclist friend. While the quality seems OK on touch and I like that they are made in Italy (and not further afield), I was very disappointed when I saw that each pair of socks was separately packed into heavy duty plastic sleeve/bag. There is absolutely no need to waste packaging, especially plastic, on socks. Would be nice if Pongo upped its CSR.
Prompt delivery, but disappointing quality
Ordered on Friday afternoon; received on Monday. Decent quality wool-rich socks that look good and fit as expected. Sadly, I've had to amend this as the quality is extremely poor: 1 pair of socks developed a hole after they had only been worn twice. I only ever use wool-specific mild detergent and 30 degree delicates cycle when washing such socks, so the fault is with the manufacturing and not with my treatment of the socks.
Poor quality, even worse customer service
Recently purchased neck warmers and i'm so disappointed with the quality , the seams have been "pulled" when stitched giving a scuffed look and the logo looks like it was applied by a 5yr old ?.. no i'm wrong a 5yr old would have done a better job!,I emailed Pongo but no response so put a review on their site which was promptly removed ! I won't waste my money with Pongo again and advise you don't waste your's either.

Having purchased many socks over the years without an issue it was all great. But on my last purchase I had an issue with merino socks where pongo longo on them after only 2 uses started to break the fibres. I contacted customer services with description of the problem and photos attached. After waiting 6 days I received reply sorry its outside warranty period nothing we can do. Seriously this is how "premium" socks retailer should handle issues ? I will be going elsewhere for my future purchases absolute joke.
