Data Mining and Bait-and-Switch Tactics — Read the Reviews
If you are considering using any platform owned by Prodege LLC - whether it’s Swagbucks, MyPoints, InboxDollars, Tada, or Upromise - just take a quick look at the reviews for this company before you do anything. They are a perfect summary and representation of what you can expect: they harvest your data, profit off of your participation, before arbitrarily suspending your account right before they are scheduled to pay you.
I completed a few high-value bank offers - meaning opening up new checking/savings and investment accounts at real banks. This required me to provide my SSN, upload my drivers license, etc. - all of the strict requirements banks have to prevent fraud and make sure you are who you say you are. On top of all that, I had to fund the accounts and setup direct deposits. I had over $365 in rewards pending and scheduled for payout.
Just before the funds were released, Prodege deactivated my account, falsely claiming I used "automated methods." It is near impossible for a bot to pass bank-level security and do all of this - initiate transfers into the bank account from another bank, establish incoming direct deposits, etc. Despite my offers to provide bank statements and my ID to prove my human identity, Prodege issued a boilerplate rejection email and refused to review the evidence. They provided no evidence of their false claim, leaving you with no understanding of what they believe even occurred.
Prodege effectively mines your most sensitive personal and financial data, keeps the affiliate commissions from the banks, and then uses false "automation" flags as a loophole to avoid paying the consumer. If that’s not bad enough, you’re almost guaranteed to engage in offers that you complete but don’t receive credit for, for whatever unknown technical reason that neither you nor Prodege can explain, and that no amount of documentation will get their support team to honor their promotion.
I have escalated this to the BBB and the NY Attorney General, although I have low confidence anything will come of it. Do not trust this company with your data or your time. The more money at stake, the more at risk you are of having your account suspended and your money gone. Whether or not they explicitly target accounts set to receive large promotional amounts, they most certainly benefit and profit off of the result - accounts suspended and payments withheld - leaving the consumer with no recourse while Prodege retains both your private data and the commissions you earned for them.
