Hi Curt,
Your review omits important context from the correspondence between us and misrepresents why your original review was moderated.
You purchased the Death Symbolic longsleeve as a preorder. The estimated shipping timeframe was disclosed and acknowledged at checkout, and we explained that preorder estimates are not guaranteed delivery deadlines. You are entitled to be dissatisfied with the wait or to consider the shirt overpriced. Those are your opinions, and we do not object to genuine criticism.
However, your original product review concerned the preorder delay and your customer-service dispute rather than providing substantive feedback about the garment. It was not rejected simply because it was negative. We explained this to you at the time.
The subsequent correspondence also included conduct that you have omitted from your account. You referred to our staff as “pathetic weasels” and “wank stains,” described our published cancellation terms as “bullshit hidden fees,” and repeatedly accused us of lying. We responded to the order issues and made clear that personal abuse was unacceptable.
We also explicitly addressed the fact that you chose to communicate with us using an email address containing Nazi terminology. Whatever your intention in choosing that address, we considered it inappropriate in the context of the abusive correspondence we were receiving. We did not claim that the address, by itself, established any criminal offence or particular political affiliation.
After you continued sending abusive messages, we instructed you not to contact us again. We advised that any further unwanted, abusive or harassing communications would be preserved and **may be referred to the appropriate Australian authorities for assessment**. That was a warning concerning continued conduct, not a threat of violence or an attempt to prevent you from making a legitimate consumer complaint. We also expressly invited you to take the matter to Fair Trading and stated that we would provide the complete order history, accepted policies and correspondence for review.
We publish genuine negative product criticism. We do not accept personal abuse, and we do not allow our product-review system to be used as a second venue for relitigating customer-service disputes.
You are free to express your opinion about the product, price and wait. However, describing our moderation decision as a refusal to publish negative reviews, while omitting your own abusive correspondence and the nature of the warning you received, does not provide an accurate account of what occurred.
The matter has been closed, and we will not engage in further correspondence with you.
