NOT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE IT ONCE WAS.

One of my issues never arrived and I was given £1.80 credit on my RT online account. Previously RT have offered an additional issue at end of my subscription to compensate for the lost issue. They told me they no longer extend subscriptions and since I do not intend to continue with my subscription I won't even get the benefit of the £1.80 credit on my account. NOT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE IT ONCE WAS.

Oh how the mighty are fallen

What was once a much respected publication has deteriorated into a shabby rag with heavily over-priced subscriptions and unreliable deliveries. I used to be able to call a number, point out a missed delivery, and an extra copy was added on to the end of my subscription; not any more, I have been informed that I will get a discount on my next subscription - which I am very unlikely to take up. My previous renewal was quoted at £128.70 for 6 months, or for 24 copies MORE THAN the face value of the magazine! After much horse-trading I got it reduced to £70, which means they are trying to milk the loyal subscribers and can knock off £58 without a second thought. Also, the quality of the magazine is terrible, with dangerously mis-aligned staples which can, and have, caused minor injury with sharp points inside the pages. They need to have a urgent change of managment if they want to survive.

Subscription not delivered last two weeks

Since buy subscriptions no longer issue Radio times, my subscriptions have been appalling! I’ve not received my print issue for the last two weeks in a row? They usually arrive Tuesday at least the week of when the Saturday listings start. I will not be renewing my subscription. What a shambles!!! No reponse to my email either

I have been a Radio Times subscriber for years. Then it was taken over by Immediate Media. Last Frbruary I was direct debited twice for one subscription. I managed to get the erroneous charge refunded and an apology. I then had exactly the same thing happen in August at the next subscription renewsl and I have spent the best part of the last two months trying to get the duplicate deduction refunded with no end in site. I have spent over 5 hours in phone calls, several emails, repeatedly being told that the matter has been escalated with no further contact after. I have supplied evidence of the duplicate payment. I have been told it would need to be manually refunded and that the finance department has been having difficulty sorting this out, even with my bank details in their possession (what level of incompetence does that indicate!!).

My advice is NEVER TAKE OUT A SUBSCRIPTION SITH RADIO TIMES. NEVER GIVE THEM A DIRECT DEBIT MANDATE INVOLVING YOUR CURRENT ACCOUNT!

Awful customer service- was expecting a call back today as disabled and no RT delivered - although it says their phone lines are open to 6, that is a lie - they obviously all want to get home on time so limit calls post 5pm - what a con!

Don't subscribe to this. They took £55 from my bank account and I've yet to receive a print copy and I am unable to link to subscription number to obtain a digital copy. The site appears to be a scam.

Radio Times Scam

Radio Times have taken my subscription fee & then said my account has been closed by a "technical Glitch"by them. I have had no Radio Times since beginning of October. I have sent numerous emails to Customer Service who return with platitudes promising "escalation" - it does not take 6 weeks to resolve a technical "glitch"I have also spent mind-numbing hours speaking to Customer Services (obviously based in a loud, noisy call-centre in some foreign land. Again they have offered no solution - just promises of "escalation" every time. I have paid £128 for these Radio Times issues & this company have stolen my money, sent me no Radio Times & have non existent forms of redress. They should be exposed for the scam company they are. Despite being a loyal customer for over 3 years, I will never use this company again & would advise others to avoid Radio Times as they are absolute crooks.

Yet again no radio Times has arrived…

Yet again no radio Times has arrived and no response to my emails. Also the digital edition for next week starting 15 November isn't available unless you pay extra, this is supposed to be free to print subscribers. I think I will cancel.

Their subscription service is broken !
Thankfully I have a only a couple of weeks left of this subscription. I will not be resubscribing as the
service as been abysmal .
The magazine has been late many times, it should arrive on Tuesday before the Saturday viewing schedule, it usually arrived on Thursday, but, recently got it on Saturday or Monday .
For a TV Guide, whats the point ?

Friday today, No Radio Times Again.

Customer service is useless, if you do get a reply its a Palm off response, repeated every time .

I see other Trustpilot reviewers are in the same boat as myself. I'm glad I added my voice to join them.

They steal money from dead people

Shocking customer service. I have been trying to get a refund of the balance on my late mother’s account for 6 months now. I have called the customer service line around 25 times so far, each time I’m told someone would get back to me or the matter would be “escalated”. Nothing happens. Even more shocking was that when I provided my account details for the refund, they tried to take the money instead of refunding it, and they then set up a direct debit for a six monthly subscription from my account at a cost of £117 every six months. Luckily I realised this just before the money was debited from my account and was able to cancel the direct debit. When I complained about what they had attempted to do, they were totally disinterested and didn’t even apologise. To treat a bereaved customer this way is nothing short of disgusting.

Radio Times claim I have no subscription'

Subscription renewed using Tesco Clubcard. Email confirmation received with start date. Spent 30 mins on hold for customer services to be told I had no current subscription. Call handler sounded disinterested and unable to give any explanation. Lots of background noise in call centre. Said she would escalate but very vague as to when this would happen. This is in complete contrast to my previous experiences with RT customer services when I have received professional and speedy resolution to problems. We will not renew again but in the meantime have bought 6 months subscription with no Radio Times. Poor

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service, my father has overpaid and you haven't responded to several complaint, live chats and phonecalls. £300 for under a year of subscription. Your complaint service is non existent. Avoid this company the staff on the phone have no idea what they are doing and say they can't investigate this and have to escalate but they never do.

Would give them no star but I have to make one. I have been trying for nearly 4 hours on and off to report non receipt of RT. Today is Fri and we are supposed to report
As close to w/end as possible. Phone 02071505800 and 03330162128/9 Nothing. The magazine is not exactly cheap so why no staff?

They want you to pay for privacy

I have been using Radio Times my entire life but now they have jumped on the moneygrabbing bandwagon by expecting me pay to keep my privacy I can no longer continue. I thought it was only the gutter tabloids doing this. End of an era but hardly the end of the world. I'm sure I will have no difficulty getting used to another guide. Bye.

Disgraceful treatment...many loyal subscribers to RT over decades facing a monumental hike in renewal costs eg £52 for six months now costing £128. You deserve to go under.....

Over 300% increase !!!

Same complaint as many others, price increase of over 300%, how can that possibly be right ...... it's disgusting and after being a loyal customer for over 5 years it's time to leave along with many other dissatisfied customers
