Richard who I dealt with was very inviting friendly explained everything very professional good talked me through everything I don’t remember how the other man’s name was But was very helpful advising me on the car connected all my phone to it before leaving as I didn’t know how was not rushed at all to leave they made sure I was comftabke before leaving thanks again for your service Richard actually went above and beyond to get it on the only day I had free even thought it should of been the following day so thanks again highly recommended lovely people :)

I bought a Volvo XC60 three months ago from Rainford Cars. I decided to write this review after the 12 week warranty period so that I had plenty of time driving the car and dealing with the Rainford team follow up before I wrote the review.
There was a few minor niggles with the car, but they were all sorted within a reasonable time.

There was no pressure selling and I believe I got a fair price for the vehicle. I’ve really enjoyed driving it and would definitely consider buying another used car from Rainford in the future.

I had an outstanding experience with the purchase of our Audi Q8. A gentleman named Rich was exceptionally courteous to deal with. There was no undue pressure as we've been searching for a vehicle for several months. Richard took the time to thoroughly explain the vehicle, its features, and was very approachable. He genuinely wanted to ensure that my family and I received the appropriate vehicle. I would highly recommend Rich from Rainford Autos for your next car purchase.

Only giving 2 star because i got my deposit back without asking!

I needed a car within a matter of days, so I seen the silver VW tiguan.. looked great for age, rang up spoke to rich who explained the cars in mint condition, it will be mot'd, valeted and he would go over it with a fine tooth comb, I put the £200 deposit down and was told to pick it up Friday. Everything seemed great, the reviews, richs attitude, so I was happy. Went up on Friday afternoon the car had failed on the mot, so rich said he will be fixing it all ready to pick up Saturday, again great attitude, still hadn't seen the car as it was on the ramp when we went. Saturday we came to pick up, we got given the keys by a young lad an told where it was and told we could test drive it.
On first look at the car... the alloys were absolutely shocking... actually looked like someone had thrown acid all over them, they were that corroded..(couldn't see this on the pictures) I was abit disappointed however they could be fixed and it wasn't a massive issue. So then we text drove the car, as soon as we drove the car on the main road, ypu could hear a loud knocking from the engine, straight away I knew it wasn't right.. we pulled up and took a video of the sound of the engine running and sent it to my uncle who's a mechanic, who told me to walk away from it. A petrol car shouldn't sound like that and the engines not going to last long.
We drove back to the garage parked it up, then went round to the cabin was. Rich asked how it went an stated he hadn't seen the car yet... (considering he was ment to of gone over it with a fine tooth comb) I told rich straight away about the engine an that I was not going to go ahead with the sale, straight away rich's attitude changed an told the young lad to bring the car round, saying theyres nothing wrong with the engine an i didn't hear anything when driving... even though stated before he hadn't seen it yet!! I told him I've had advice to walk away so that's what I'm doing. To which he replied, it's a 14 year old, 5k car what do you expect? If it's about the alloys just say, but don't lie and say it's the engine. I told him to go take it for a drive and listen, better still open the bonnet an turn it on and listen. Rich told me no it's fine take your deposit back and I'll put it back it will fly out!
Now I wasn't expecting this back as he told me on the phone the 1st day if I changed my mind i can't, so for him to give it back tells me he knew full well the engine was about to go!!
Wasn't going to write a review... however I changed my mind when I seen the same car back up, stating excellent condition... when it isn't!! All rich's reviews are good, an to honest his attitude was at first.. until you tell him something he doesn't want to hear and his attitude is vile!!

Again only gave 2 stars because I got the deposit back, however if anyone is thinking about getting the silver VW tiguan... I'd leave well alone

Rich from start to finish has kept us up to date with what was going on. No hard sell..... the car sold itself to us. We are so happy with our Peugeot 508. After sales care has been top notch. Highly recommended.

Personally I would AVOID this company!

Almost like they have been written by the same person, same writing style?!?!
Arranged to buy a VW Amarok. Was told there was a problem with the steering. Waited three weeks while they “fixed” it??
Promised to repair a dent in the tailgate and on the passenger door.
Was told the vehicle was ready to collect. I asked for the proof of steering rack fitting prior to collection. Rich assured me of this and said the old rack would be in the back of the truck.
Went to collect, no old steering rack and no proof of the new one being fitted. Vehicle still very heavy on the steering!!!
Said he would send me the invoice when he had a copy of it!!” That old chestnut “
We said we would rather wait and collect the truck when everything promised was available. Richard became very rude!!
Accused US of distrust!!! And consequently we walked away. I am so pleased we did. As a footnote the paint repair job felt rough and dents still visible, the door dent he hadn’t touched!!!

Brilliant service from start to finish. Rich was really helpful and easy to deal with, made everything so easy.

We even had an issue with our part exchange and that was resolved with other options given and no pressure to sort as he promised to hold our deal until we were sorted.

Thanks to Rich and Jamie again wouldn’t hesitate using Rainford in the future. 👍🏼

Bought another car from Richard at Rainford cars today, a lovely low mileage BMW 2 series. Superb car, superb service, everything you want when buying a car. If you’ve seen a car at Rainford, stop looking elsewhere , you’ve allready found what you’re looking for.

Rich has been nothing short of first class to deal with and has restored our faith in used car dealerships and distance sales for us. The car came with top warranty cover (not that we have had to claim on one before) and were surprised and relieved we had it 6 months later. The warranty company were reluctant to cover some aspects of the work but Rich put out minds at ease and sorted it all out. Work done, car sorted. Rich and his team are no nonsense, honest and upfront. We are in the market for another car and when our daughter learns to drive we know where our first point of call will be. Thanks to Rich and the team at Rainford Cars!

We stumbled across a white Range Rover Sport at Rainford Cars that we had been looking at for ages. As soon as we got in touch, the service was just fabulous and nothing was too much bother. No pressure to buy, but encouraged to take our time, enjoy a test drive and ensure that it was the car for us. The car was fully checked over, a full MOT done and the after service was amazing. If looking for a second hand car, I would definitely recommend getting in touch with Richie, and Jay was also so helpful.

Myself and my husband have bout 4 cara over the years form rich and can’t recommend him enough. My last purchase was just over 3 years ago. I recently had an issue with the boot and rich did not hesitate telling me to take it in. He fixed it on the spot with no questions asked. If you looking for a car go to rich.
