Went to Pickering show.
Went to Pickering show.
Lets be honest- you are never going to get hours of Monster truck stunts in a field!
but there was a monster truck, it was loud and crushed cars
Also saw motorbike and other stunts. Our kids had photos with characters. Master S loved the transformers, whilst Miss S loved the bear
plenty of space, didn't feel squashed
helpful staff.
not bad for the price
I'll try be fair
I'll try be fair, but yeah first time at a monster truck show and as others have said it broke twice, so we was stood around all day from half 10:30am-15:00pm, can't really help a miss hap I get that but yeah I'm guessing no chance of any refund, but £20 per person to see a few minutes of the monster truck drive, and waiting for hours and hours to see something great happen. I did enjoy my day out for a day out but I wouldn't go again. Again as others have said expect fair ground rides and food that is pricey, wouldn't of minded at all if we just got to saw something amazing with the monster truck. Didn't mind waiting for hours in the queue to ride on the back of the other monster truck because that's something I'll probably not get to do again. So that was fine. And the last kick to teeth is really the emails saying sorry for the wind Friday and Saturday ticket people, so free entry Sunday. And sorry for the Sunday truck breaking down, so come again free Monday, I drove a hour and half to see it a one time thing, so wouldn't really get the chance to just get the free ticket entry...and saying that I ordered three tickets by mistake so only two people went and yeah again no chance of refund or even a response. All in all, yeah it was fine, yeah the main event broke twice!! That can't be foreseen, but nah I'm good with a free entry ticket but spent alot of money here to just stand around basically all day. I tried to make the best of a bad situation and I shouldn't really have to say all this to just go see a cool show. Abit let down, my child didn't even remember it by Monday (today) so nothing memorable which is a shame for a young one. ( I will add on as I forgot, but yeah no snow foam party no optimus prime or bumblebee costumes not much as advertised on social media again what a shame)

Pleasantly surprised reviewer!
Just wanted to write a quick review to put across my experience. We booked the show in a bit of a rush one night and then the next day came across the negative reviews on here and thought we'd really messed up. We then spent a week kicking our normally well organised selves for not checking reviews first like we do with everything else. Now committed we attended the event with rock bottom expectations. I am totally amazed that I'm not writing a complaint letter! In brief the show was super well organised with car parking attendants, staff taking your QR codes on the way in, staff monitoring every area and litter picking throughout the day. Honestly it was just very comfortable to know friendly staff were there to help check locations and confirm the show schedule. The shows are obviously marketed in a glitzy video which has clearly mislead some guests to think there's a different experience but given our expectations we were very happy to enjoy each show way more than we thought we would. Yes there is only one monster truck but it's very impressive and it did crush cars! The bike and car shows were equally good as was the wrestling. The rides are not included and nor is food but I'm not sure where they ever would be. I've actually come away thinking it was a good day and my 6 year old loved the whole experience. I hope this helps balance the negativity as I definitely went in ready for a terrible day and I'm happy to report we made good memories instead!
YOU DONT GET WHAT YOU SEE IN THE ADS
Bought 3 tickets plus petrol and driving from Sheffield to Pickering (1,5 hours to go and 1,5 to come back).
Monster truck was broken down and the other one was 10 pounds per person if you enjoyed waiting 1 hour and a half in a muddy field with strong wind and almost freezing temperatures.
What you see in the impressive Ads is not what you get. Not even close.

It is a SCAM do not buy tickets!!!
It is a SCAM do not buy tickets!!!! 90% of what you see on Facebook isn't at the event. There was no live music, no miss Rachel, no foam party, nothing! You will pay a lot of money to stand in a field and watch some extremely basic motorcycle riding. Mostly just riding from one side of a field to another. The monster truck at our event brokedown after 20 seconds, given there is only 1 truck, yes one! This meant no monster truck at a monster truck event. Unless of course you want to pay 10 pp to ride in the back of one, and wait in a 2 hour queue. The rides and food are very expensive, be prepared to spend 100 quid plus to make the day feel like you aren't just stood in a muddy field. Do not waste your money or a day out. Absolute waste and SCAM. They have removed all Facebook posts with any negative comments and flooded it with fake promo of things you will never see at their shows. I wish I had looked on here before booking.

RA monster truck event Pickering
I took my grandchildren to the RA Monster Events in Pickering as a special treat while they were visiting me from the Isle of Wight to Barnsley. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst decisions I’ve made.
The tickets alone cost £190 for 4 adults and 4 children, and it was absolutely not worth it. Many of the advertised attractions simply weren’t there—no Miss Rachel, no live music, no foam party, and hardly any children’s entertainment. The only characters were the Big Bad Wolf, which frightened the kids, and Pikachu, who repeatedly turned away when my granddaughter tried to take a photo.
The monster truck show itself was a huge letdown, with several parts not going ahead at all. It felt like we’d paid a high entry fee just to stand in a muddy, bogged-down field.
On top of that, everything inside was overpriced. Activities like hook-a-duck were £6 per child, rides were £4 each, and the food prices were ridiculous—£8 for chips with cheese sauce , £7 for a coffee, and £12 for chips and nuggets that were poor quality.
Honestly, the best part of the day was when we were leaving and came across a bar where we had a simple coffee while the kids played pool.
Overall, I would strongly advise others not to waste their money. My grandchildren head home tomorrow, and all four of them are leaving very disappointed.

What a ball we had!
What a ball we had! Family of 5. First time at a monster trucks event. We went to the pickering show. My youngest daughter (age 8) loved all of the mascots and dancing to the Taylor Swift tribute act. My son 10 LOVED the monster trucks and bike tricks. My eldest daughter loved the fairground rides and me and the hubby spent most of the day trying the different food trucks! We had spare clothes in the car incased it rained and im so glad we did as the kids got soaked at the foam party but it was so worth it!! I would definitely go back next year
Over priced, well under delivered & overall disappointing
Very poor considering we spent £90 on four tickets, lots of entertainment promised and didn’t happen, lack of kids shows as promised. We paid £90 to see some average bike stunts , paid an addition £30 to go on a monster truck ride (we’ve been on much better for less!) and then the usual over priced fun fair and food stalls we didn’t even bother with because £120 later stood in a queue for the truck ride for an hour and a half and walking around a field was enough money wasted. It’s really sad as it’s a lot of money for people to pay, look forward to and end up disappointed. We love supporting and attending these kind of events both outdoors and motor related… will not be booking with this company again

Absolute worst motor / stunt show ever
Absolute worst motor / stunt show i have been to in a very long time if not my entire life. We paid £72 for 2 adults and our 4 year old son to get in to what i can only describe as an over priced field full of food vans and a few fairground rides. The single monster truck they had was broken down so we didnt even get to see a truck show , and as for there been childrens characters there we walked around in circles for 4 hours and didnt see one . I wish there was a way to ask for my money back total scam with fake advertising. All in all a waste of time . Dont bother

Don’t waste your money went to…
Don’t waste your money went to Pickering today stated it opens at 10am waited until 10.16am until they let us all in. Stated in the itinerary showtime entertainment started at 10am till 10.30am which was paw patrol & mirror bunnies, well that didn’t happen then apparently transformers bumblebee & Optimus prime was making an appearance between 12.30pm & 1.00pm don’t know if that happened as we didn’t stick around after spending a fortune on rides.

£20pp for a half hearted funfair at £5-6 per ride, 2 hr queue for a ride on a monster truck at £10pp. Food at festival prices. Monster truck show non existent as had broken down!!!! What a pile of unorganised garbage! Received response from this review from organisers asking me to get in touch. Did that 3 weeks ago, still not heard from them!

Disappointing event!
Not impressed at all! We travelled 2 hours to come to this show to see 2 basic monster truck & 2 motorbikes! The monster truck just drove round in circles for 15 mins and that was about it. Very poor performance! A monster truck ride was available at an additional price, which was ridiculous!
I expected a range of vehicles, maybe even just on display? For the premium price we paid it to see a poor performance & then pay more for the fair ground around it was disappointing!
Wouldn’t go ever again or recommend to anyone!

Far too expensive
We were in Pickering today.
Positives - staff friendly, super guy on hook a duck who helped my little granddaughter, well organised car park.
Negatives - poorly signposted from main road, no shelter for families in poor weather , sparse baby change facilities with no bins!, very overpriced rides - for example bouncy castle £6 per child for 12 mins . About 50 kids at a time so they are raking in 1.5k an hour - daylight robbery. Families are a sitting target as shows are spaced throughout the day with nothing for kids to do in between.
After spending nearly 100 quid entry for a family of 4 ( one child under 2) it is a very expensive day out and we didn’t even buy any food . Won’t be coming again

Overpriced, Underwhelming & Over Hyped
We paid £60 for three of us. The event was built up and advertised to be spectacular sadly it just wasn’t. It was very over priced for what it was and was more like a local fun day. There were more food stalls than anything else. The rides weren’t included in the price either and were £3 - £4 a pop with not a lot of variety, I’ve seen more rides/better selection at local fairs. The main shows were okay, nothing spectacular. I expected more from the kids shows, at one point the gummy bears & panda one was literally just some bears dressed up standing about for pictures and nothing else. There was a monster truck ride but that was £10 pp so didn’t bother in the end. The inflatables never saw any inflation for the duration we were there and just laid flat on the ground looking sorry for themselves. There wasn’t any areas to get out of the rain either other than under the dogems roofing or inside a clothing pop up store. The event was pretty sparse in areas and overall just lacked that ‘wow’ factor. I wouldn’t go to one of these again or recommend them to anybody either especially at the price it was. Ended up leaving after about 3 hours and that included sitting in the van for lunch. We just took it as a loss and left feeling incredibly underwhelmed.

Scam
Booked at Market Rasen Racecourse for the 29th March. Turned up and the place was locked up with no event in sight. Messaged on Facebook, no response, complete scam.

Very overpriced for what you get
Very overpriced entry fee, no option for child prices. All the rides and food were also overpriced and very poor quality. It was very badly organised, the crowds were awful and a safety risk for small children. It was very misleading in its advertisement of what to expect on the day. Highly disappointed and would not recommend.

Ayr Monster Truck Motorfest - Disorganised
We visited the Ayr event with our 4 year old on Sunday and we left feeling very underwhelmed.
I had checked the website beforehand for guidance on parking as was unfamiliar with the venue- no info so we turned up to find the small car park in front of the building in gridlock. We ended up parking on a nearby residential street. It was then very unclear where to get in. Turned out the entrance was away round the back of the racecourse so a long walk with no signage that I saw. Once we got to the field we noticed that there was some parking available on the field, it would have been nice to know that before the long trek!
The whole event looked very budget, like a village gala with 1 monster truck. Food is always expensive at these things so I wasn't surprised with the prices or nature of the food but there was nowhere to sit, not enough bins and definitely not enough toilets.
A rethink is needed on the layout if they come back as the kids entertainment was set up so the audience would stand right in the main thoroughfare across the event so there was massive congestion and people were getting angry.
I also found the sound system poor, at many areas around the main arena it was impossible to hear what was being said.
I had been unaware that wrestling was going to be one of the attractions so was initially confused when I saw 2 guys in pants wandering about behind the food stalls and we never did find out where the transformers and pokemon mascots were hiding.
We did really enjoy the bike stunts particularly Broke FMX who put on a great show with good crowd interaction.
I don't think we'll be back as even my 4 year old wanted to know where the rest of the trucks were! Was Billy Coull involved in the setup?!

Fantastic day out
Hi all, we have had our tickets for this event ( Saturday) for a while and been looking forward to it and it didn’t disappoint, my family ( 3 kids and a teenager ) loved the day out and the entertainment was non stop , we stayed longer than we thought to watch all the shows and stunts again before it got too cold,
We had food at the Greek caferer and it was first class, our chicken gyros chicken was being cut from the rotisserie and was so fresh, thy done something for everyone including my wife’s Greek salad box
Looking forward to if thy come back next year
What a amazing event
What a amazing event , considering the conditions of the ground the organisers did well to still present the show ,
Great attention to detail to with the monster truck theme on the games stalls , lots of choice for food, kids had a great day at Ayr, hopefully they return , I'd visit again
Worst £120 spent
Paid £120 to go to this event, was very un organised. From facebook videos looked like an amazing full day out on hard ground to walk on. That was far from what we found at Ayr racecourse.
Was in the middle of the racecourse in a large grass area which was very wet and muddy. There was no adults fair ground rides setup, big waits between main events overpriced food trucks and a guy on mic that was ear deafening. Only good thing was my son enjoyed the monster truck ride. Travelled from Fife to be there and we left after 2 hours and found other things to do in Ayr.
Was very disappointed and will never recommend to anyone or attend again.
