No Recycling Collection for 4 weeks
Friday 24th April signals the 4th week that we have had to cope without our recycling bin. The 1st week the bin wasn't collected we 'thought' we'd done something wrong and proceeded to empty some of the contents in the hope that it would be collected the following week - WRONG! When it wasn't collected the 2nd time around, I called the RBWM to ask what was going on to be told that the bin had been reported as broken and we'd receive a new one within days. Four phone calls later and still no resolution. Sadly not all of the customer service team at the RBWM recycling dept were understanding, one being outright rude, which no one needs. In desperation we put our recycling into our Green bin as we had nowhere else to store it, we already had paper bags filling out kitchen -not the greatest option. Week 3 came around, still no replacement bin - my husband went out to speak to one if the collection team asking if it would be possible to tip the recycling from the green bin into the lorry - "no sorry, cannot do, there's a camera on the back here and I'll get fired if seen ...... " WHAT! In the end my 78 year old (recently out of hospital) husband drove to the tip to dispose of the now horrendours collection of recycling.... We are both pensioners, we have ALWAYS paid our council taxes, WHY are we experiencing this awful service - 2 bins out of action simply because computa says NO. I am not exaggerating, this service is appauling - would have given zero stars if that had been an option
