Revive IT Recycling Avis 17

This is my first time ever leaving a review for anything in my entire life. Simple... it's a SCAM. They mark the price up by 2x and then claim to sell it at 50% off. If you see a product they offer buy it from somewhere else for a lower cost! They also claim shipping in 2 business days; also not true! Do not use this site, it's not a good business and they seek to make a profit off of people in dire need of resources in order to complete required course work.

Sad to see the decline, they used to be great and now sadly another recycling company to blacklist.

Ordered a laptop and was sent one caked in filth. Asked them to resolve and am told to do so at my own cost.

Will not use again nor will we recommend them to clients, if they can't be bothered to do this right, one has to wonder where else they're cutting corners, can't risk that with our data requirements

I was very impressed with Revive IT, it was easy to find them online. They were very helpful when I sent
them my enquiry. I managed to book a collection quickly, they arrived on the date and time booked. They sent me a certificate within 2 weeks.

This is the second time we've used Revive, after upgrading equipment in our server room as well as desktop hardware.
Admittedly, we paid a small amount for the first recycling however it was worth every penny.
Second time, the collection and data destruction was free. We are a small company and most of our equipment was fairly new-ish and in good condition.

Customer service is second to none, including the booking process as well as the collection. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

NB: before you write negative comments about their pricing you ought to note what's stated on their website - after all they are not a charity:
"If the equipment you have for recycling won’t generate enough revenue to cover our internal costs, we’ll offer a quote."

Absolute joke of a company - contacted them for collection for 500 computers from 12 of our business sites and was quotes £20k- rude staff AVOID at all costs - went to YesWaste instead and they did it all for free

Similar experience to others - requested collection of a printer but after providing photos was quoted the price of a new one for collection! Looking back at their home page it's all in there small print (beware the asterisk*), but misleading and disappointing all the same. Complete waste of time and effort for domestic customers with small items/quantities. Off to the tip now....

My experience was very similar to that of Tasha. So, 1 phone call, 2 photos and 3 e mails later I realise that this is a commercial not a "green" organisation. It exists to commercially gain from what it retrieves not to primarily avoid landfill, hence the charge for items it cannot gain from. No ordinary domestic customer who has an old piece of kit to get rid of would pay these prices for something that can be taken to the council tip. Nothing wrong with that, but the website is totally misleading and wastes a lot of people's time, including that of their staff.

I contacted them regarding recycling a printer, but was concerned that since it was just a printer, it may be too small an order for them. However, they were happy to take it. They arranged a DHL collection at my convenience. Great and speedy communication throughout the process. I highly recommend them.

I decided a couple of weeks ago that I would like to recycle an old laptop, which I hadn’t used for a few years. I googled online to try and find a local company who would do this and ensure that any data left on my hard drive was removed. I found Revive IT and completed the online form; the process was excellent from start to finish, I received a email response very quickly and within a day the courier had collected it from my home and within a week I have received a ‘Data Destruction Certificate’. Brilliant service and they delivered all what they said that they would do. Thank you very much!

I'm retired and wanted to dispose of my old laptop saw Revie IT whilst looking online and requested a pick up and disposal, i received a kind response saying that although they normally dispose of bulk orders they would arrange for the collection and disposal of my laptop, we agreed a collection date and sure enough it was collected for disposal with no problems. Great company

Working for a large company we have had a lot of Old IT which needed to be taken away due to a refresh of equipment.
We have used Revive a number of times now. We call them up and they give us a time and date and they are there on time.
I have dealt with the same person every time we have needed a pick up and Suki has always been 100%. Very polite and a nice guy to get on with. I have no issues at all.

Needed to get rid of a bunch of old and broken computer tech. Everyone I asked said take it to the local tip. Called Revive IT on the off chance they could give me some advice. They got back to me in about 30 minutes. A coupke of emails layer and tgey offered to take everything away for free. Brilliant service, fast, friendly and professional. Got my data desteuction certificate within a couple of days. Very happy. I strongly recommend this service. Dave.

Fantastic experience with Revive IT, everyone I spoke with was friendly and communicative, professional and knowledgable. I'd always return back to these guys, can't fault them.

We received a collection today from St Annes Community Services - Leeds and the driver was amazing, polite and very helpful. I would recommend this service to anyone who is looking to dispose of their old IT equipment.

I did my research before getting in touch with them and was very impressed by the service mentioned and some very good reviews. One star from me, however, as I was very disappointed to be quoted £195 + VAT for a service that is advertised as "completely free" on their website.
