Long story short. Poor quality control and poor customer service.
There was a time that this company was great. Quality clothing and great customer service. Not anymore. I recently purchased five shirts from them. As I live in the UK, it wasn’t cheap to get them sent over here. In total for the five shirts, shipping and customs duty I paid around £150.
I didn’t see a problem with this since I have had experience with their merch before and felt comfortable that I would get what I paid for. Until...
The first mistake was that they only sent one shirt. The customs duty that I paid for online indicated that all five shirts were in the package. There was a hand written note on the packing slip that said, custom shirts will be shipped separately. These were shirts that were on their web site. How could they be custom. Any way, I contacted their customer service via the email thing on their web site and a few days later I got a response of, don’t worry they are on their way to you. Uh, OK. You might want to let people know that before they order.
Apparently, if you order certain shirts they come from their North Carolina facility. Wait, I thought you guys were in Austin. There is no mention of a NC facility on your web site. I guess they are trying to keep that hardcore Texas vibe going.
Imagine spending £150 for five shirts, waiting weeks and when you finally get them, two of them are messed up. One so much so that I wouldn’t wear it in the garage.
When I contacted their CS again I was surprised when the response I got was that they knew about the problem, they don’t do quality checks on that facility 🤔, and that they would be happy to refund me the price of the shirt that was beyond wearable. By the way the shirt was their tribute to the WW2 marines titled “Death Follows”. So much for the tribute guys.
I said great, thanks. Until...
The next email I got was that they would only refund me the money if I sent the shirt back to the NC facility. They were also gracious enough to say they would cover the return shipping. So naturally I said NO. You’re going to refund me the money for the shirt and I’m not going to have to waste my time going to the post office to send it back to you.
Anyway. The last email I received was from the CS rep saying that, she had been told to forward the info to the NC facility for further action.
That has been three days now...
I guess I got an expensive garage shirt.
Long story short. Don’t buy from these guys. They don’t stand behind their products anymore and for a company run by former Marines. Well they must have been POGs.
