Rubber4roofs Avis 

I ordered a shed roof kit 2 months ago and have finally managed to get the job done. The kit arrived promptly. The EPDM rubber supplied was the correct size and there was plenty of adhesive. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and as a result I now have a leak free shed. The rubber is easy to use but you may need an extra pair of hands if you are covering a shed roof greater than 8 x 6. Customer services were excellent when I had to contact them about an issue. So overall an excellent company, product and customer services.

Their website is excellent, and as a very practical person without roofing skills, I allowed their online calculator to work out the exact bits and pieces needed. I was happy with the stock availability and the price paid. The email comms were good and suggested I check the contents of the delivery before signing so as to keep everything transparent.

I ran an errand the following day and arrived home to find the stuff (£860) on my door step. This is the reason why 4 stars and not 5 have been given - I had received no email advising of dispatch, nor any estimate of delivery window, nor any communication whatever from the haulage company. A bit dissapointing, and had I had comms, I would not have ran the errand. But I was delighted the order had arrived the next day.

So I checked all the stuff, and to my great dismay, the cardboard box containing the adhesives and clips was a diabolical gluey mess. Clearly, everything had been packaged extremely carefully before dispatch (everything taped up, cling-filmed, bubble wrapped as appropriate), but the box had obviously been mistreated on the way (despite being marked as fragile) as one tub of adhesive had a massive fracture and the contents now covered the entirety of the inside of the box. Fortunately it was the water based adhesive and I was able to tolerably clean up the mess.

I took photos, then phoned up rubber4roofs, received an apology verbally and was asked to send photos and email to their customer services. I received a call later from a nice lady who again apologised, arranged to send out a replacement and refunded the original transport costs by way of compensation. All of which was agreeable to me. The replacement arrived next working day before 0830.

I believe it's not always fair to judge a company badly on a mistake that is made, but perhaps to see how well they are able to rectify a mistake. On that basis I am very impressed with how easy it was to report the problem and get it fixed. I would be interested to know how many times this courier lets them down and costs them money. Obvs, I'll never know. So all in all I was very happy with my dealings with this company, but their courier (TUFFNELLS) were very bad and I will never use them knowingly. I was encouraged to see the replacement products were sent using TNT.

Ordered some more epdm roof trims from rubber4roofs. Always helpful and friendly on the phone. It's nice when you get a company you can trust to get things right. Keep up the good work guys👍

Really bad return policy. Make sure you order correctly. I ordered the wrong size totally my fault but when I rang to exchange I was told I would have to pay to return (totally acceptable as said it was my error) but they would then take 20% restocking fee! Never had this from any other service I have used. Would not use this company again.

Didn't send the correct parts and so half way through the job I had to make the decision to carry on without the right parts but as I had the roof off at this point there wasn't a lot I could do. When I phoned up and told them I didn't receive the correct parts they didn't refund the wrong parts and they made me pay extra postage for the correct parts. I'd avoid personally unless you know exactly what you need.

I purchased a 5mx5m Classic Bond EPDM roof with all the fixings and kit to install.

The delivery arrived quickly and everything was packaged well. The rubber for the roof was heavy and took a bit of grunting to get it up on the roof but once up there, went down well with no issues. The glue was strong!... in smell!! then I opened the small tin... wow! From a nerdy H&S perspective; CAUTION, super strong and a little dodgy to say you’re up on a roof! The bumper edges haven’t yet been installed but the gutter strip (for the edge where the rain water will fall off) isn’t sufficient to allow the water to fall into the guttering. I think it’s approx 5mm. I’ve purchased some good quality guttering and I can’t imagine the distance from the facia board is out of the ordinary.

Overall, the kit was fitted by myself with no prior experience.. all has gone well with the exception of the gutter strip which I’ll make contact with rubber4roofs as it’s “cocked” up the basic function of the roof/gutter!

The Rubber4Roofs website was very easy to use, though, being a DIYer, I still followed up with a phone call to make sure I entered things correctly. They were very friendly and gave good advice over the phone. We did have an issue with the courier, but R4R helped facilitate with the courier to get the missing items delivered before the weekend. The actual roof rubber was very easy to lay (though had to bin all the rollers as the adhesive was sooo sticky!). Would definitely recommend them to others.

My experience was a positive one, and a customer service experience that I find to be excellent. Sometimes things can go wrong but I feel it's how a company handles this that counts and they handled this to my complete satisfaction.

What a truly fantastic company Rubber4Roofs is, they sorted out my two orders and my mis-measurement quickly and without fuss and didn't charge any extra for sorting my order out.

Very very poor customer service, avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!

Bought from this company as prices were good, with trade discount, and reviews seemed good as well. However, they have been let down by by their delivery company and their subsequent dealing with the issue.
I ordered on Monday afternoon on 'next day delivery, but was after their cut-off time so naturally expected delivery to be on Wednesday. Anyway, despite being on site all day waiting, it never arrived. I had even waited there for two hours after I had finished work as had been told it would come before 6pm, it didn't. I also drove back to the address that evening at 9pm to see if they had tried later and would have left a card, they hadn't. Needless to say the driver claimed to have attempted to deliver at 3pm but, if this were true, and neither myself or my colleagues heard him, then he would have, again, left a card, he didn't. I filled out a contact form on R4Rs website to try and resolve this but by 08.45 hadn't heard back so called in and was told that all they could do was raisea query with TNT and that the call back window was 3 hours and they'd come back to me asap, they didn't ... at all. Meanwhile I managed to get through to TNT myself and, although they once again failed to deliver by their promised deadline, I eventually sorted delivery and now my colleague has signed for the products. I'm hoping they're all there as I have already lost another day. Rain is due tonight, the client is going spare and I still haven't heard anything back from R4Rs. Well done on being so impressive towards a brand new trade customer.

Cannot fault this company in the slightest. I ordered a kit from their eBay store. Delivery was the next day and was easy. One of my parcels was missing (not the fault of rubber4roofs) so I gave them a call and spoke with Kieran who was fantastic and chased this up for me. It arrived the next day so this wasn’t a problem. From start to finish the process was easy. I would highly recommend the ClassicBond roofing kits as they are easy to use if you watch the instructional video and look great when complete! No more leaky felt.. Would definitely use again. Thank you!

Excellent customer service after a shaky start! I ordered a ClassicBond roofing kit, and was advised it would arrive on a certain day. It didn't, but when I contacted Rubber4roofs all members of the team were helpful and Kieran stuck with me until the delivery problems were resolved - and kept the pressure up on TNT to get it sorted.
The product seems great too!

product is ok, problem is that once you have paid for the product they don't reply to your query, all I wanted to know was does the rubber matting need a covering of pebbles to protect from the sun, I have asked this question three times and they cannot be bothered to reply, would I recommend them? ( NO ) based on the customer after sales service.
STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY

I was looking for a roof for my summer house i have built.
I come across them on ebay, i looked at website, read about rubber roof and how long they last, watch a video and though well what a great idea, how easy is that. So i ordered my roof and glues i needed.
I watched the video again to refresh me.
When it arrived it was the wrong size, i wanted to get this fitted on the Saturday, but i called them they made an apology and sent new order correct size on a Saturday before 12pm as it was a friday when i discovered it was wrong size. So great customer service, yes people make mistakes but its how they put them right and rubber4roofs acted fast and i commend them. So i got up saturday it arrived around 11.23 and i laid it out left it on roof for a few hours it looked nice and flat as it was rolled nicely so no creases and in 40mins it was finished (this did not include fixing the edging fascias you can buy also as i was doing mine a different way) so yes all glued down and all edges glued down (as you have to use a different bonding agent 100ml around the edge) its got life span of 50 years so i be gone from this planet before it needs replacing. So great price and great product, very quick to fit, and yes great customer service - Highly Recommend this company

Crap Customer service -

Ordered some equipment to be delivered Friday. Nothing turned up.

On contacting Rubber4Roofs they said the deliver van had broken down and assured me that it would be delivered the next day (Saturday) and that if not someone will be in the office to help sort things out

Again nothing was delivered and when I tried to contact them, no one was available.

On contacting them, all they said was that I have not paid for Saturday delivery, when I explained what had happen they just said kind of said 'So What'. Didn't even offer to refund delivery cost.

Don't think I'll be rushing to use them again

Rubber 4 Roofs have been very helpful in dealing with my Roof enquiry. Kieran was the chap that helped me out, not only did he quickly and efficiently deal with my enquiry, he also supported me in the design and quantities of roof materials required for my specification. A very simple transaction and look forward to receiving my roof.
