Unable to access account

Subscribed to the website but was never able to access the account due to technical issues on their side, confirmed by contacting customer service. After over a week with no resolution I requested they cancel my account, which they did. It's a scam.

Runner's World is not a sports magazine; poor customer service

Runner's World is sports magazine that focuses on politics instead of sports. Once the DEI movement started, there were numerous articles detailing being included (or not) based on race, skin color, etc. I wrote a comment to a few of those article simply stating, "can we please focus on running?" Soon I was taken off their electronic newsletter without notice though I was still paying for the highest membership. I had to email customer service numerous times to get the e-newsletter sent to me. They insinuated I must have done something to not be receiving it anymore ("did you hit the unsubscribe button?"). No accountability. I have since been reinstated and then read this ludicrous email about ICE in Chicago making brown people uncomfortable running in a group. Are you kidding me? As a former Chicagoan and a place that I still call home, this narrative is propaganda and has nothing to do with running. I asked for immediate removal of my subscription and demanded compensation again for the months that I was not receiving the e-newsletter to begin with. All I got was automated replies from their customer support, and now I cannot seem to stop getting the e-newsletter. How ironic. I will NEVER subscribe to them again. Hearst and the magazines it publishes (e.g., Outside) are all have a political bent, whether subtly or not so subtly in their articles. When I subscribe to a running magazine I want to read about sports, not a political agenda.

Free marathon plan withdrawn 4 weeks in.

RW offered 16 week marathon training plans on their website. Daughter started training and got to week 5 and they pulled the plan. She paid for a bronze membership where they include one plan of your choice but after signing up the oks wasn’t available. She called and was told it was actually a mistake. She’s now tried to upgrade to silver membership but they can’t process that for a few days. She only began running a few months ago and had worked and done so well. This is a massive set back for her. Disappointing service. Would definitely NOT recommend!

Cannot Cancel Subscription & Full Refund Not Given

I cancelled my subscription to RW in 2022. They continued to send it. This year I was once again charged without notification. When I called RW again this year, they said they would refund my money. However, I was only refunded $4.17. I called again for a FULL refund and am now told I will receive ANOTHER PARTIAL refund because they have shipped another magazine even after I cancelled.

This is very poor customer subscription management. Even if I wanted to subscribe in the future, I would not because there is no way to unsubscribe. Once they get your credit card number, you're apparently stuck with the magazine and regular payments for life.

I believe that I should receive a FULL refund for the cost of the subscription that I have repeatedly tried to cancel.

Please fix the app Runners World!

Runners World is really good reading, if you can read it. I subscribed to the £6 for 6 months deal, installed the app but have had continuous problems with it.
It infrequently doesn't download, once downloaded it doesn't save that info.
It crashes frequently. Hearst Magazines say they have tried to resolve it but after reading 2 articles, the same issues occur.
I have good connection and no problems with my phone, all has been checked out with that. Other apps on my phone work fine ie parkrun, Strava. I notice people having the same kind of issues, some quite far back.
