Buying the sofas was the easiest part. Really good service and advice.
On the delivery day, Chris and Simon rang through to inform me when they hope to be with me (dependent on traffic around the Dartford area!) I think they were travelling from Essex.
Both Simon & Chris were pleasant, jovial and brought my sofas in and placed them where I wanted them. They made it look so easy.

The delivery guys called me to advise their time of arrival and were prompt. They were polite, friendly and efficient, and tidied up after themselves.

If you read all my reviews regarding our sofa from SCS you will understand this review.. we have never had such bad treatment from any company ever!! Our sofas were never fit for purpose we are now going through small claims court and after my last review they answered and said someone would be in touch to discuss further and once AGAIN nobody got in touch they never ring you back!! I’m not too concerned as this will all go for us with our court claim but just another lie they have told us! DO NOT BUY from this company. We will wait to see the outcome of the courts but depending on the outcome we will NOT leave it this company must not get away with treating customers like we have been treated! I have just read your reply SCS and I was told they would ring me by the end of Monday it’s now Wednesday!!this happens every time they say they will ring.. they DONT!! Once they get your money they don’t want to know!!

It would be easier to say what went right than what went wrong.
It took over three months to get our order of 2 two seater settee’s. Firstly we got a date for delivery on the 18/07/2025 No delivery no calls text or emails. I finally got through to SCS and they informed me that the Colchester store was closed for refurbishment and nobody knew anything. After countless phone calls I got through to head office, I explained what was happening and you never guess what they put me through to the Colchester store which was closed. My temperature was getting high and not happy. A few days I got a text say my delivery was to be on the 25/07/2025 between 13.00 and 19.00, you guessed it no delivery. I stayed all day just case it came but nothing no calls no text nothing
On the 28/07/2025 I managed to get through to head office, after a heated exchange I told them to cancel my order and return my £500 deposit. I was promised my order would be delivered on the 29/07/2025 between 07.00 and 12.00. I got an email saying my order will be delivered on the 25/07/2025 then a little while later I got another email saying that it would arrive on the 29/07/2025
Finally my order arrived at 08.00 they delivered my order and left
I will not ever be ordering from SCS again, very disappointing

still waiting for sofa which ordered back in 10 04 25 was ment to arive 11 06 25 still not here all there can tell me production delay and cant give a date of delivery

My wife and ordered a new sofa on the 12th of April, we was told a 3 month wait for it to be delivered. We recieved notification of delivery 3 weeks before delivery. We the recieved a notification a day before delivery and then an email and text the morning off to confirm delivery time and date. Delivery of the new sofa was flawless and could not fault this what so ever.

We cannot remember the lady's name in the colchester store but made us feel at ease when we purchased our new sofa. Considering we had our three lovely children running wild in the store and didn't bat an eye lid!

We even recommend scs to my mum, who then bought a sofa from them and I was gutted she got an earlier lead time on her sofa.

Safe to say I saw some horrible reviews about scs, but I cant fault them with anything with them so far. Fingers crossed!

Awful service. We ordered our sofa in January and still have not received it in June, despite paying in full! We have had 2 delivery dates which we took time off work for, with no delivery and on the first one, no contact to say it had been cancelled! We have contacted the store numerous times to simply be told they only deal with sales, however there are no options available to get further help. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We were informed of expected delivery time the evening before and then the morning of delivery. The sofa arrived well packaged and protected and was expertly put together by the delivery staff. They were efficient and polite throughout.

great service in the shop at Colchester on time and polite delivery at end of the day, would have been great if they could have said morning or afternoon

The shop staff were excellent. Delivery was on time and the men were polite and efficient. The furniture is just what we wanted. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we had to wait so long. Ordered in January, delivered in May.

My whole SCS experience has been excellent from start to finish. The help and assistance I received in store when I ordered to the departure of the delivery men was first rate. My expected delivery date had been given to me as 19th May, but I got a message to say my sofas were due into the warehouse on the 8th May with delivery scheduled for me on the 9th May. I received a text message the day before to confirm delivery and on the day I had messages to confirm my hour delivery slot. There was also a link that allowed me to see where the drivers were and how many deliveries there were before me. The delivery team were very professional and friendly and took all the packaging away with them. I would award SCS 100% on ordering and delivering. Not too mention, the sofas are more comfortable than I remember them being in the showroom! Fabulous and would definitley recommend.

Was greeted by a polite salesman who left us alone until we found something we liked, then he went through all the workings of it and then made purchasing it straight forward .

The man was there when we need him and went away when we went to look round the shop then helped with the paperwork very nice experience all round

BUT, I still have not got my chair, I didn't expect it to take so many months, it was on sale, so presumed in stock. Sent chase email to store but no reply. Delivery to store is free but cost far too much to deliver to my home! I will not buy from SCS again.
