Stephen Gardiner gave aid great service when choosing a sofa with my mother in law

Scs has been a night mare from start to finish. Damaging real wood flooring. Damaging wall and breaking skirting board causing plaster to come off wall. Wallpaper also torn. Wrong colour delivered 1st time. Multiple delivery days taken off work.

Graeham was really helpful and managed to get us a great deal, everything was explained clearly and the deal was done!

The delivery team kept me informed of the progress of my delivery. Very pleasant team.And they respected my property by using the blankets to cover my newly fitted carpet. It would have been better if they had shoe covers .Which i would suggest for the company to look into.

I have received my sofa last week i have no space to keep the single unit it's still in its package scs are not will to take it back I was going to recover to family and friends not any more not happy with the service can even put customers first

Went in left with not only a great deal but lasting memories of such a great experience

Good - Great experience from the shop. The fella that sold us the sofa bed was very knowledgeable, approachable, patient while letting us choose fabric colours, and he got us a very good deal including an extended warranty and free delivery. The sofa bed is great.

Bad - The entire delivery experience. I took a day off work on the 22nd of April so that I was available for the planned delivery. It never arrived, even though the tracking said it was coming. The tracking just kept adding on an extra hour as the hours in the day passed. Eventually, I got a text from the driver at the very end of the day stating there had been a miscommunication between managers and the delivery wasn’t coming. Apparently there wasn’t enough room in the van in the morning and that a manager had decided not to inform me. Why on earth that manager thought that was a good idea, I will never know. That was a full day of lost earnings and just a complete waste of a day sitting about waiting for no good reason.

So the delivery was rearranged for the following week. The lorry arrived. But the team (of 3 guys) were unwilling to drive the lorry over the short bridge to reach my house. They were also unwilling to carry it over the bridge from the road, stating the wee sofa bed was far too heavy for them to carry. Thankfully, I have an old pick-up truck, so I could at least get them to load on the back of it, so I could drive it up the track. I couldn’t believe it when they didn’t follow us to the house on foot. I looked down the track and they were back in the lorry and away. My wife and I were left to struggle the thing into the house. We had to take it apart, rebuild it and dispose of the packaging ourselves.

The sofa bed is great, we love it. But the delivery experience was absolutely terrible. We were lucky we were in a position to manage it on our own, and had a pick-up truck available. Otherwise we would have no option but to send the sofa bed back for a full refund. If you have any access issues at all, you must contact the shop and/or the delivery company beforehand and make sure the delivery team have a plan and are willing to make the effort. Our access bridge is solid but that didn’t make a difference on the day.

Shirley made us feel welcome without any pressure. She was that good we bought 2 suites . Excellent service in the Glasgow store.

Was assured sofa came in sections & would fit through standard door, it doesn't. Had to buy a 2nd hand sofa as had nothing to sit on. Delivery guys were worse than the chuckle brothers, tossing sofa all round my garden. Customer service, non existence. Branch manager, downright rude. There is an SCS complaints group on FB that has more than 11,000 members, most of whom are currently going through the small courts for a refund. Absolute shambles of a company.

The moment we stepped into the store the environment was very welcoming. A bright, well laid out store that smelled luxury. We were greeted by Tom and Steve who were very knowledgeable about their products and gave us advice when needed. We didn't feel pressured or rushed. We were offered coffee while we looked around. Tom processed our order professionally and made sure we were happy with all details throughout. We are very excited to recieve our new sofa. Would recommend SCS for anyone looking for a good quality, comfortable sofa!

On delivery the couch turned up damaged , still waiting on a phone call in regards to this and sent numerous emails no response .

Warranty company have been in contact and they are hopefully going to sort this for us however I can only describe SCS as a disgrace here once it’s sold it’s sold that’s my understanding of them !

From start to finish the delivery men were great)they had a really tough job getting the couch into the flat entrance door but managed after some perseverance,

Staff are very friendly and easy to work with when picking the correct suite for me. Pierce in the Drumchapel store, who helped me was a breath of fresh air. Very knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, attentive and welcoming. Had a lovely time in store. Would definitely recommend this store.

While shopping for a new sofa we received first class service from Pierce. Not only did he let us browse freely but he answered questions and provided helpful advice throughout the whole process. There was never any pressure and we initially left the store without making a purchase. We were so happy with the service provided that we returned to the Drumchapel store from Troon to place our order, bypassing our local store. Pierce made the whole process seamless and his knowledge was second to none. I would highly recommend SCS to anyone looking to purchase their new sofa, there are endless options to browse.
