We were served by Joanne Jones.
She was very helpful, informative & patient making sure that we were entirely happy with our purchase. She explained everything thoroughly (even advised us on her cruise 🤣 Bob might be persuaded now 🤣)

Both delivery guys were pleasant and efficient. Delivery time was perfect, if not slightly early (we were contacted before the delivery, both by text and email, and then by phone, so this was OK. Item was assembled and tested, and all packaging etc removed. Very pleased with the service we received, both from the store and the delivery team.

Was expecting the usual ‘hard sell’ when looking for a new ‘3 piece suite’, but was pleasantly surprised.
On entering the store my wife and I was acknowledged by Cathy and she pointed out that there was a sale on and advised to take our time and she would be around if we needed her.
After looking around both floors of the store we saw a couple of options but needed clarification on available colours, luckily we saw Cathy passing by and called her over. Cathy listened to our questions and then went out of her way to find large colour swatches to drape over the display sofa so we could visualise the finished items.
Cathy also informed us we could change the feet on the items to gliders to make moving the furniture easier.
We felt no pressure at all and were very comfortable in purchasing the ‘3 piece suite’.

Joanne jones was the employee that helped us and she was incredibly helpful and easy to get on with. She showed care in our specific situation and showed obvious consideration about everything we wanted. She was extremely nice and very easy going

Cathy at the Oldham store is a god send! We walked in with a particular sofa in mind however when we discussed ours needs with Cathy, she talked us through our options and showed us the sofas she thought would be suited to us (I have mobility issues). I’ve never been provided with so much information and advice when shopping for a sofa (or any furniture). We decided on a gorgeous new recliner sofa and are now awaiting its delivery!

Cathy is extremely helpful and a credit to the Oldham store. I’d highly recommend and will be back in a heartbeat if I need another sofa (hopefully not for a while)

I took my elderly mother to scs oldham branch. We was shown around by Cathy, she was very attentive but not pushy. She explained all the different features on each sofas until we decided on the one she wanted. We was more than pleased with the help we received from Cathy when purchasing the sofas

We visited your Oldham store ladt Saturday after seeing a suite we liked on your TV commercial so had an idea of what we wanted.
On entering the store we were pounced upon by a very pushy female shop assistant, we politely told her we didn't need any help and if we wanted help we'd ask, she kept pushing to tell us "how the store works"
I'm 58 years old, I don't need help shopping for furniture, this went backwards and forwards several times by this time I'm getting quite annoyed, I told her if she didn't leave me alone I'd take my custom elsewhere, her reply was " this is my house, I have a Right to show you round !!!" This was the last straw, we told her we were taking our custom elsewhere and wouldn't be back.
We then proceded to SOFOLOGY where we comfortably walked around the store without any harassment, once we'd found a suite we liked we approached a salesman that was wonderful and treated us like friends, we purchased a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa spending 3k paid IN FULL and left the store extremely happy.
In the words of Julia Roberts in pretty woman I hope you work on commission, Mistake, HUGE Mistake.
Obviously I've told several friends and family this experience and it appears I'm not the first to experience this extremely unprofessional approach from this woman.
May I suggest some staff training on how to treat customers.

We purchased our suite from the Oldham branch. Joanne was extremely helpful and was able to answer all our questions. She even showed us the colours of the leather under a light table. We didn’t feel pressured to buy like you do in some furniture stores. Looking forward to my new furniture. Thank you Joanne.

SCS customer service is only slightly good when they are selling their products. After that don't expect to even receive an email to advise you have purchased anything. Eventually the delivery company will try booking in with you, but there will be a fee! It's not a delivery fee! It's just a fee!!
Then comes delivery day and they only have two out of three settees. They advise you they can take them back, knowing you have no furniture to sit on! So what's your option really.
My advice would be do not buy from SCS.

We visited SCS today for 2nd time in as many days, The first time we was greated by the lovely Joanne who was polite & helpful and spent time going through the options available. We came back specifically because of Joanne. She is knowledgeable and listened to all our requirements and that lead us to the right sofa and chair that best fit what we needed. We didn't feel rushed or pushed into anything and was given all the information and support to make the right decisions for our home.

As we are both old people who are both disabled it was great to find a company like SCS who made such a good job of making our suite. It is so comfortable and looks fantastic. The company who delivered it are two great lads who wouldn't let us struggle bringing it into the house and did all the work with a lovely attitude and a smile on their faces. It was their own company working for SCS called NWT who I would not hesitate in using again. Thank you so much!

We had the best experience in SCS whilst looking for our new sofa. Myself and my partner craig had looked in a few other places before coming to SCS. The greeting that we received from Joanne Jones the sales person was fantastic. She explained the furniture was made to order and could be made in different styles and colours of our choice. She passed me a tape measure and left us to browse the store and find ones that we liked. I knew i wanted a corner sofa and chair but had no idea which style , material or colour i wanted. Joanne was always on hand to answer our questions, she was very helpul and knoweledgeable. Joanne listened to exactly what we wanted and picked up on things that we liked about the sofas and the material. She showed me a variety of colours in the material that she could see i kept getting drawn too. With Joannes help and patience we soon found the perfect sofa. Joanne explained every detail we needed to know , from how the settee is package, sizes that needed to fit through the door spaces and also all about the delivery. Joanne went above and beyond and made choosing our sofa an exciting and enjoyable experience.
We chose the style, colour and material we wanted and left with a great feeling that we made the right choice for our new furniture and that it is everything we wanted. We can’t wait for our sofa and chair to arrive!

Fantastic delivery all round. The two strong guys managed to fit my huge new sofas in past a tricky angle. So chuffed. Really cool blokes who were excellent at assembling them and making sure everything was perfect. The sofas are soooo comfy. Just amazing quality. Thanks so much the Yorkshiremen who delivered this morning. Great accent and a top service. 5 star service. Give them a bonus for being so good.

Sofa arrived with two delivery gents who were both friendly, professional and very helpful. This was a perfect service & all packaging was removed also. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks to everyone involved 😊 I love my sofa.

AVOID LAZY BOY & SCS AT ALL COSTS
What was supposed to be a dream reclining settee and chair , the model Knoxville power recliner .Purchased after many store visits to SCS in Oldham Lancs , purchased to help me recover from TKR surgery so i could sleep downstairs. now two year old and padding has disentgrated .Respone from SCS , dont sit on it so often .Lazy Boy feedback not interested Emmeria insurance group as SCS Modern day highway robbers
