Awful customer service manager and…

Awful customer service manager and owner. I read other reviews and it's consistent with the negative experience and attitude of the manager, Wendy, and the Owner, Chuck. I was so frustrated. Chuck and Wendy, you can use my money to take each other to lunch on my dime.

Extremely frustrating and disappointing…

Extremely frustrating and disappointing checkout experience

I was genuinely excited when I found this site while searching for a replacement magazine spring — it looked like they had exactly what I needed, and I was ready to buy it right away. But that excitement quickly turned into frustration and aggravation.

After spending time finding the right part, I went to check out… and the checkout button simply wouldn’t work. I tried refreshing the page and reloading my cart, thinking it was a technical glitch. Then I discovered the real reason — I wasn’t allowed to complete my order unless I bought more than I needed. My item was only about $9, but the site wouldn’t even let me make the purchase unless I doubled that amount to $19.95.

That felt incredibly unfair and, honestly, disrespectful to paying customers. Forcing people to buy extra just to make a transaction go through is not good business — it’s a guaranteed way to drive customers away. I was ready and willing to give them my money for a product I needed, but instead, I was left irritated and disappointed.

I didn’t place the order and won’t be returning to this site, even if I can’t find the part anywhere else. I’d rather buy an entire new magazine from a company that treats its customers with respect than deal with a policy that comes across as greedy and dismissive. It’s not about the $10 — it’s about being treated like a customer whose time and needs actually matter.

Until Shooters Connection changes this kind of policy, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Owner rude to customer!

I recently had the distinct priveledge of doing business with Shooters Connection and was asked never to purchase from them again. I wanted to post this unique experience with this company. I placed an order for a pistol magazine from them on August 8th 2020. I received my order on August 12th and found I had received an incorrect item. I called the company to address the issue and was told that they shipped the incorrect item because they had received incorrect inventory when they ordered the item. I asked what needed to be done since the item did not meet my needs and was told by the representative (who I was told was the owner of the company) that most people would be thankful for getting an item with more capacity. I explained that the issue was that the base plate on the magazine was different between the item I received and the item I needed and had ordered. The owner then checked and verified that the inventory was incorrect and told me to ship it back and I would receive a refund. I asked if a return shipping label would be provided and was told that returns are not covered for incorrect orders. I then mentioned that was a poor way to do business given that I received the wrong item. I also mentioned that if I paid for return shipping that I essentially would be paying out of pocket for an item I never received. I was told again that it wasn't his fault that he received incorrect inventory. And this went back and forth until I could see that I wasn't getting anywhere. I then told the owner that I would be posting a negative review and he immediately said that prior to my comment he stated he would give me a return label and that now he was not going to. I stated that he hadn't said anything of the sort and was then asked why I even purchased from his web site. I stated that I wondered that myself with how I was being treated and was told that he prefer that I never purchased from there again. I agreed to his wishes and asked for his name to post a review of my encounter and was simply told that he didn't care if I posted a bad review and that he had been in business and found that reviews never work. I said that was fine and that I would let the review and others speak for his comment and asked again for his name. I stated that if he felt that way to not be a coward and give me his name so that I could include that in the review and he decided to hang up on me. Now perhaps my use of the word coward was not fair but he had been making rude comments to me throughout the conversation and I simply wanted his name to post the review and facts of my encounter and let others decide if his company was worth doing business with. I called back one more time with a third party to get the facts and spoke to another representative and was put on hold and then hung up on by the original person who I am told was indeed the owner. The second representative called me back and offered to make the situation right by sending me the correct magazine and provide a shipping label for the return of the magazine I had and I stated that was all I wanted to begin with. The second representative said that the person I originally spoke with was the owner and that he wasn't sure why I had been treated the way I had. I applaud the second individual and wish I had gotten that treatment to begin with. The part that left me angry is that the owner then put a note into my account saying I had used additional names that I had not used and also that I had been rude and he had tried to work with me which was not the case. The phone system for this company states that calls are recorded and I have asked for a copy of the call and I am willing to share a link to that call in it's entirety if it is provided to me. If it is, I will add a link to the audio file when it is provided but I do not anticipate that it will be given that it would show the facts. I post this in hopes that the owner of the company can see that reviews do make a difference and that people have a choice when making a purchase.
