Thank for a wonderful weekend. Highly recommend this park it is small and beautiful with extremely tentative staff a special thank you to Andrew the pool man and niyanna from the bar so polite and helpful. Will definitely be back

5 star - our first caravan holiday as a new family!

We’d like to give a special mention to Andrew at the Pool. What a man! He is the life and the soul of the pool, Andrew was so active with his customers and ensuring everyone was having a good time as well as being safe. I was on the chairs spectating as my family were in the pool, Andrew went and kindly got me a latte - what a babe he is. Deserves a medal as I overheard he stayed on as other colleagues in the pool department didn’t turn up for their shifts.
Speaking of which.. the other poolside attendants appeared to be less bothered and let the pool team down. They were not active with customers and just sat at the side / sat in the back for the duration of the pool time.

Our caravan itself was great for what we booked, and for what we were looking for. We went on holiday with our 1.5 year old and he loved the layout of the caravan running up and down it! The beds were comfy as a caravan can be, the cooker and microwave were good also. The shower is very powerful which was a bonus and very easy to use. Overall we loved the caravan vibes - we chose a gold plus caravan for our first holiday booking but have since seen other caravans with decking and we’ve opted for that option for next years booking.

The reception staff were extremely friendly upon arrival and departure, the lady I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. The chip shop staff were also friendly!

The bar and restaurant / entertainment - FAB!
The staff were all friendly, pleasant and professional. The entertainment for the little ones was so much fun, loved watching my little one dance and have so much fun with other kids and the characters. The park stars are so lovely!

The shop itself is such a good idea, the staff in there were hilarious and we really enjoyed yapping to the new guy who started just 2 shifts in. The overall place such as the laundrette, bar and restaurant, pool, activity centre were all great and we will definitely be back.

Been visiting Silver Sands for years now since grandchildren were little, the park has been refurbished in many ways but unfortunately the restaurant which used to have great food and good portions for the price has failed miserably, portions are small, macaroni cheese is more like white sauce with little taste of cheese, the prices are ridiculous and would not encourage you to eat there.
The pool is lovely and kept so clean, Andrew is a gem and so helpful with our granddaughter who has special needs, he deserves a medal, he is the sole reason for five stars, the restaurant lets the site down and if they reduced their prices they would get more custom. The holiday park otherwise is great being right on the beach but they could have more facilities for kids.

I had to cancel this booking 5 weeks ahead of the actual date and the only reply I got from the company was, NO REFUNDS 6 WEEKS BEFORE. I tried to reason with them telling them that due to pandemic most of our holidays plans have been cancelled and it is not due to us changing our mind but we are simply unable to get there. No reply from them and now I have to wait and go though the cashback process with my credit card company in order to attempt to get my money back and I know they will easily sell that pitch as they are all sold out on their website. So they will get their money twice. Disgusting practice and stay away as they are worse than Ryanair, even from them I got my money back!
