Do Not Trust "Smart Furniture", Don't shop from them! they don't have any cancellation policies in writing neither do they inform you about it, if you ever have to cancel your order, you will be bombarded with charges that they never told verbally, or gave you in writing,
Worst customer service, their furniture is never delivered on time and the furniture dimensions on the website do not match the actual dimensions, even the employees are unaware about the real dimensions.

Smartfurniture.com - terrible customer service.

Ordered a Herman Miller Eames Soft Pad Executive desk chair that was described (multiple times) on their website to work on hard floors and carpet. You can see from the photo how well it works on carpet. Have interacted with 5 -6 people from the company whose job is to tell me the chair is designed that way and is not meant to be used on carpet (despite their website description), their advice is to use it somewhere I have hard floors (guess not my office) or look for a thicker carpet protector (it is scratching the one I have) and they would look at correcting their website description. Yep, that's it. My fault for using their website description to make a purchase. Making the customer happy with an improperly described and poorly designed product....not their priority. So recommend avoiding this retailer for your office needs. They are happy to let the customer eat their mistake.

Smart Furniture experience.

I have never written a review before, but felt I needed to. I ordered a coffee table with a side table from Smart Furniture. I Received notice it shipped and was being delivered. I received the side table but did not receive coffee table. FedEx said they delivered it to my address but did not. It was a 130 lb package. I contacted Smart Furniture and they immediately opened a support ticket for my delivery. Within one week a second table was ordered and shipped. I received the second table. I am so pleased with the customer service received from Abbie and Katie. I would recommend them and would not hesitate to order again.

Dumpster Fire of a company

Dumpster Fire of a company. Ordered Steelcase item took almost 90 days to process. Ship date came and went, was late. Finally after 100 phonecalls and emails Item finally shipped. Shipper calls, find out even know we paid for Residential Delivery SmartFurniture dropped the ball and didnt order Resi Delivery. After another 3 days of trying to get a hold of the company, finally they admit to the mistake and say they will call me back ASAP as they are going to get InstallNet to come install the item. 3 days later many unanswered calls and email, they tell me they never called InstallNet and now its going to be another week or so, even know this item is sitting 30 minutes from my house after a 3 month wait. Long story short, they are drop shippers, they have terrible customer service, they dont answer calls, they dont follow instructions and when you do get somone on the phone usually its farm animals, dogs, or somone eating loudly on the phone. Run do not walk away. We disputed our order with AMEX and will be posting this review on every available site so other customers do not have to wait 90 days to become a victim of this company. BBB complaint also to follow.

They let you buy things they don't have in stock.

I recently bought a table from them, because they said they had it in stock and could deliver it in time. Now I've wasted a week and I have to wait for a lengthy reimbursement period for $1000.

Avoid this company!

They show things they don't have in stock as being in stock, will take your money, and then tell you a week after it has already been communicated to you that they will be able to ship it to you in the requested time frame, that now it is no longer available and that the manufacturer is no longer making it.

(Even though it is clearly still made, and available on other sites).

Rude salespeople

Rude salespeople. Inconsiderate process. Salespeople have a weird commission system that makes them hand you off to others, rather than helping you immediately. I had one question about the fabric available for a chair and Brooke was obnoxious about it. You don't talk back to people or complain about your process. Customers should never know how your commission or sales structure works. As a corporate sales manager for Apple, I can tell this system is the fault of the owner or the manager who set up their sales commission system. They would benefit by keeping their salespeople anonymous and letting them share commission since they don't know anything about products anyway and their "personal touch" is to insult the customer.
