Recently undertook a planning task with this company, absolutely first class, professional and friendly. Would recommend them with no concerns. Seemed to have a team of experienced and customer centric staff.
I worked with Ian and the team on a project which was a demolition and a new build in a sensitive conservation area. They were great at working through the process. I would recommend getting them involved with the project as soon as possible as they will save you more money in architects fees and specialist fees than their costs.
I came to the understanding, that one of the objectives of doing an application is to ensure that you have no reason for the local authority to reject your application on a technical detail, SM Planning were exacting in this area. They worked hand-in-hand with the architects, whether it be the width of a footpath more the details that the plan may be rejected if we had not put a bike store in. Architects design the pretty things, these guys make the pretty things come to fruition.
As the staff are ex planning officers I.e. poacher turned gamekeeper, they talk the same language as the planning department. I think this helps with discussions with the planning departments and any adjustments have to be made as the application and project is going along.
I would definitely recommend using them.
