Songhurst Caravans Avis 

Just bought a second hand caravan from Songhurst. Could not be better. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The trade in price I was offered was excellent and the asking price for the one I wanted was very good. When I came to pick the caravan up Tim spent a long time explaining how everything worked and what was different to my old van. Nothing was too much trouble. I can recommend this company to anyone who wants to change their van or needs work doing on their current one. Thanks Tim and all your staff.

We were looking for our first caravan so had no idea what we were doing, but the staff at Songhurst were fabulous answering all our questions and giving us advice on the practicalities of what we would need, making our whole experience lest stressful and more enjoyable. After we took delivery of our caravan they made sure we knew we could ring them with any enquires we had and spent a long time with us going over the instructions on how to work the caravan. We bought our van back to Songhurst for a fault and they were so helpful and kind even when it turned out it was our mistake and nothing wrong with the van. (All the gear and no idea lol). We cannot thank them enough for all their help.

It asks me to share my honest opinion. I will, brilliant, fantastic what a great company of people Songhurst is. They say that it’s the people that make the difference we’ll ive got to give it to The Songhurst staff they exceed all expectations. We own a 2017 Lunar Clubman SR, originally purchased from new from another dealer a long way off (more about them in a separate review because I don’t want to cloud this review with negativity) as we now live fairly locally to Songhurst it made sense to have our annual service carried out by them, on arrival I was asked if we had any problems with the van and having experienced the squealing Al-Co brake drum issue which appears to be a major issue on 2017 vans I mentioned it, they said that although it was the dealers responsibility we purchased the van from they would contact Al-Co on our behalf and see if they carry out the repair work, the van was serviced, a tyre changed for a new one, more on that later re the other dealer, brakes drum and shoes changed all done, the difference in attitude between the two dealers was converse, the dealer we purchased the van from was absolutely appalling, I have written to them over three weeks ago with no response, they agree on the telephone that it is there problem but as yet no reply in writing to my email, in fact when I mentioned the brake drum issue the response on the phone was it’s not a problem drive with it as it is, now I don’t know about you but would anyone really drive with a van on the back knowing that there is an issue with the brakes, DOH!! Thank you Songhurst a great team from the shop to the office and especially the work shop, special thanks to Keith and Tim. We’ve already booked next years service in.
