Sony customer service - so bad
Well
I got a pair of the Sony WH-1000XM6 ear buds off my wife last Christmas.
I put them on charge as normal with their supplied charging cable and a 5w output usb, as normal.
Imagine my horror when i found that the case had melted, this was in my home where we were all asleep.
I took the buds and the case back to Currys where she had bought them on 1st December 2025 along with the receipt.
Currys referred me back to Sony and like a fool I contacted Sony.
Sony sent me a label and “pre - paid” my postage.
Sony then tried to state that I had put the case into something acidic and that if I didn’t pay them for the inspection then I would not even get my buds back.
So Sony has effectively stolen my earbuds.
Be aware people - do not trust Currys and do not trust Sony.
I would rate them as zero stars but cannot do this here the lowest it goes to is one star 😔
I will not take this abysmal treatment off anyone and I will update as I go along 😡
