Impersonal Corporate Feel

Been with them for years. They had someone put in line to an ADU we have on our property. I have tried for 2 months to get a hold of someone and get the service. It is no longer the personal service Cableone (now sparklight) used to have. Now feels very corporate and impersonal.

Do not use Sparklight

We signed up with Sparklight in 2019. For six years we made monthly auto-payments and never missed a bill. Since we no longer needed their services, we canceled our service in February 2026. We paid the final outstanding bill and thought everything was fine. They even thanked us for our six years of loyal service. A few days ago I was informed that my once excellent credit score was now 130 points lower, now below 700. When I inquired about what happened I was informed that there was a $35.41 outstanding balance on my account and that it had been sent to a collection agency. This was all unknown to me. I then tried to login to my old Sparklight account to pay the debt and was informed that it had been closed. I received NO notice from Sparklight about ANY outstanding balance. When I called Sparklight, they informed that there was in fact a $35.41 outstanding. Since the account had been closed I was never notified of this and had no way of paying it even if I had known about it. This is NOT a good way to thank a once loyal customer. In short, I've now had to contact the collection agency to inform them that has been paid. I now have to wait on Sparklight to contact the collection agency to inform them that the debt has been paid. Once they are notified, I learned that it may take up to 6 weeks to be resolved on my credit report. Even now when I login to my credit reports I see my excellent credit score. I cannot even see what the loan officer sees as a less than 700 score. THANK YOU SPARKLIGHT, for trashing my credit score for a measly $35.41. My recommendation? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SPARKLIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Called sparklight last week

Called sparklight last week. Was promised a 9/29 connection for our business between 8-12. This was guaranteed by the rep on the phone as we discussed the importance of not missing the date to open our business. No one ever showed up and no one ever called, texted, emailed their no show or status. Zero follow up. Now we are inoperable due to their failure to keep their appointment. They would not make it right and come out to connect. They gave me a later date which I explained was unacceptable due to keeping our livelihood down for two additional critical days. We advertised “open to the public on 9/30” bases on their guarantee which, again, they broke and will not correct. When I called, they lied and said they came and called, but were caught in said lie, as we were present at the connection address AND we have an answering service to which they would have left a message, but did not. Do not do business with this company. Their service is horrible and their willingness to make their mistake correct has now fallen on the consumer. Not the first time I’ve had issues with Sparklight, which is why I left them before. Guess that’s my fault for trying them again…

Our cable is out and a customer service rep was no help…

Our cable is out and a customer service rep practically called me a lie and said we did not have cable. We have one tv that is internet and the other is cable. I got really upset with him so he turned me over to someone else. Then they tell me it will be next Tuesday before they can get here to check it. We have a handicapped son that TV is his life, and I am not happy with Sparklight at all. We pay almost$300.00 a month for this poor service. Use another company.

Nothing but good experiences.

I've got nothing but great things to say about Sparklight. It's very affordable, my internet connection is super reliable. The customer service has always been excellent for me.

I currently pay for 300mbps and am getting 315 right now so that's awesome.

For living in a tiny town, they're a godsend.

Sparklight service

Sparklight has a website, but it's not one that can be used by customers. Their overall service is less than 1 star. I'd like to thank all the politicians who took money from them and granted Sparklight a monopoly.

Never again

Never again. We are switching because we've had no internet for almost 48 hours with no explanation. First it was the entire town of Hardeeville then only 21 people left without internet and now we don't know if it's just us or not. I work from home so I count on internet. They said they can't even send anyone out until Monday!!!! This happened on Wednesday afternoon. We are paying for a service and this is highly unprofessional and not even close to the customer service we deserve. No management to talk to and now were supposed to sit and wait for a phone call? Or wait until Monday??? Do NOT get Sparklight.

SPARKLIGHT SUCKS... Nothing but lies and deceit about service. Ridiculous phone prompts that average (5+) minutes of wasted initial phone time.

Logan did a great job.

A man named Logan came out.
He fixed my buffering problem.
He was very thorough. He checked everything and fixed the problem. The last guy that came didn’t check everything and the problem did not get fixed.

All we need is a landline modem

All we need is a landline modem. That's all - You wouldn't think that was too hard. - Began the process on Friday a week ago. Each day we were promised a call back. 4 different times. - one 4th call, we finally got a ticket number. Promise to call back. NOPE - So on call 5 now, and they say it will still be 4 days before they can do it. UNACCEPTABLE service. But no other provider.

HORRIBLE internet provider

My internet will go out every single day, sometimes it goes out 3 times a day and it will be out for almost 15 minutes or sometimes even a whole day. I would not recommend sparklight.

Possible Lawsuit against Sparklight

They don't have faster Internet. They had lawsuits filed against them by customers and I am wanting to sue them for that because I might need some compensation I deserve and make sure my wallet has the compensation I need because they need more lawsuits filed against them

They keep trying to give me promotional discounts, but I can only use one at a time they lied to me about the coverage they provide and up sold me telling me they didn’t have those plans. My mom went on the next day. They had the same plan I was on bastards.

Sharon out of Lawton Oklahoma

We needed our bill adjusted for our internet and we had the best experience with Sharon out of Lawton Ok. She was not only very personable but also knowledgeable about Sparklight billing and services. She was able to adjust our billing cycle and services that we needed.

Sparklight... Just Don't!!!

We scheduled an install on Friday for Saturday which was phenomenally quick. I took off work and was sent a text about the tech's arrival time and contact info. They never arrived and rescheduled without notification due to weather. A storm set to hit around midnight on the install day. Fine. Got another text for the rescheduled install date a few days later. No big deal. Tech arrives, drives through my front yard in a regular utility truck. Advices they'll need to reschedule again because they need a bucket truck for the install. I had taken off work again. The rescheduled new date was for a week later. This is where I decided to request my refund. I'm almost certain I personally could have orchestrated a better experience with zero knowledge within that industry. It was amateur hour and you know when it's amateur hour by the numerous empathetic apologies. But apologies don't provide home internet in this world... customer service does. This company is lacking expertise or resolve. Might have just as well said, " Thank you for your money. We'll fix our incompetence in a week or so." Third scheduled install date... eleven days from presenting my card information for a service never received, a torn up front yard, and multiple never returned calls to rectify or expedite a solution. I'd suggest going with experience over a "start-up". Pay more but take out the frustration never coupled by home internet. Just mad without streaming... plain out fumble.

Very unreliable internet and they are…

Very unreliable internet and they are always raising the rates. I am paying 265.00 per month for their so called premium service. I intend to leave the service after being with them for 20 plus years. The latest thing they have done is to fix their firesticks so they can only be used at your home address. You used to be able to use them anywhere you could get internet service so I took it with me when traveling. This stopped this week. I also have some fire sticks form other service providers and it appears that they know when you are using them and they slow down or block your internet service if you are using their router. so I have had enough. I am looking for other options.
