had the absolute pleasure of having Spitting Pig BBQ cater our wedding at the end of August, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Shaun and his team were a dream to work with—professional, efficient, and genuinely kind.

The correspondence beforehand was seamless and reassuring; we felt that every detail of our day was handled with real care and consideration. On the day itself, the food was simply outstanding. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it—so much so that many went back for seconds (and there wasn’t a single bite left by the end of the evening!).

Shaun and his team ran everything with such ease and warmth that it felt effortless, leaving us free to enjoy the day knowing our guests were in good hands. We would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for delicious food, brilliant service, and a team that truly cares.

Exceptional customer service recovery from Lisa Tousal at Colargas . The van that delivers my gas was of road and failed to deliver, however for a week Lisa kept me informed and day before my event when i needed gas she kept me informed then arranged me to get gas locally and reimburse me ….Brilliant work Lisa

I hired Spitting Pig for a garden party on 5 July 2025. From the start, the communication was good they offer a good choice of menus which could also cater for vegetarians, vegan, gluten free, Halal.
On the day of the party, Jason and one other (I forget his name) arrived, set-up so easliy, it looked so nicely laid out and very professional. As promised, the food was served at 6pm on the dot. All my guests said how nice the food was. Much later on, while I was still busy rushing around, i noticed Spitting Pig had left. Wow! they cleaned up, i didnt even notice, there was no noise from them and no mess left at all. I would definately hire Spitting Pig again.

Private Wedding Celebration Event Easter Saturday.
We had a family wedding celebration for 15 guests catered as all strictly gluten free as two guests are coeliac. From the first enquiry all the way through to the lovely staff leaving, the team was flawless. Communication was easy, helpful and informative.
The staff were hard working, so friendly but also discreet. We didn't need to do anything. The set up looked really Fab too.
The food was unbelievably good. The selection of meat dishes and sides were just so tasty and just as they had promised me, were entirely gluten free. We are all foodies so were delighted that the food kept us going all afternoon and evening. Thank you so much to an Amazing chef and team. You made our celebration extra special. I want to highly recommend you to everyone looking to cater an event.

We recently hired Spitting Pig to provide a Hog Roast for our work's Christmas event.

Darren arrived on the evening and couldn't have been more helpful - what an absolutely top bloke!

He set up quickly and with no fuss, served the food -which was delicious - and then he packed away and left again without a trace allowing me to enjoy the evening. Just what you want when you book caterers for an event.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were in touch with my during the build up to the event and took care of absolutely everything. It was for a surprise for my wife, and they even played along, sneaking around the side entrance, to get setup without her seeing (until the dog saw and gave the game away :)) The food was amazing and the family and guests are still talking about it two days later and spreading the word through the school and the football club. If I ever do a similar event again, I will definitely call Spitting Pig co to work with me on it. I could not have been happier with how everything went. They took all the pressure of hosting off of me and I was able to feel like a guest at my own party. Thank you so much. Wonderful work. Wonderful people. Wonderful food.

We had Darren and his team for our wedding reception on the 19th October. We had a few challenges with the venue but Darren was so accommodating and bent over backwards in order to serve up our banquet. Which I have to say was absolutely delicious! The communication right from the get go was excellent, keeping in touch to ensure things went smoothly. Darren told me not to worry about the food, and I really didn’t need to because it was exquisite! Even with the venue chucking us a few curve balls on the day. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of a hog roast, everyone commented on how delicious the food was. The antipasti grazing tables, the hog and the deserts were beautifully presented and not much was left at the end of the evening.

We had Stephen and his fabulous team from spitting pig attend our wedding in north wales. We had the gourmet BBQ and it was absolutely beautiful…loads of food and choice. All the guests commented on how lovely the food was. They also packed us up loads of left over boxes for late night snacks.
Was an absolute pleasure dealing with Stephen as well…very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend!

We can't thank the guys at The Spitting Pig Company Scotland enough for our wedding buffet! What a hit it was with all of our guests. Many went up for second helpings! Absolutely delicious, the presentation was stunning and the service was incredible, the staff were so lovely and helpful. Everyone is still raving about the food! Top class, we will be recommending you to everyone, thank you!!

They were 45 minutes late to serve food at our Wedding this weekend past. Rather than being honest as mistake do happen, things can go wrong, the situation was handled extremely poorly! We were told 5 minutes for over half an hour, massively impacting our other caterer and then we could not have our wedding cake desserts sitting down, turnaround for our evening reception was delayed, some guests missed our first dance etc etc
I had one staff member crying to my guests and another fell asleep their catering tent. It was so far removed from being professional and organised.
I had to get other vendors to help them out, the upset, stress and embarrassment it caused us will stay with us.
After complaining, I been left more angry by the rude and obnoxious catering manager.
For clarity, we did receive a partial refund and apology but it will never make up for the failings on the day.

From the first inquiry, to the site arrival, setup, serving, and cleanup.
A first class service.
Just need to find the next reason to have them back again.

We had a problem with our venue on the day but the team that arrived dealt with everything with no hassle! Kirsty and Julien came and were brilliant. Friendly, professional and efficient. My experience from start to finish with Spitting Pig has been nothing short of first class. From the initial menu selection, to invoicing and delivery service has been top notch.
Kirsty and her team came on the day and set up with no fuss and were very friendly, the food quality, presentation and service was superb and all my guests thought the same. Then, when service was finished, the team cleared everything away with minimum fuss.

We always think one of the things you remember most about a wedding is the food and our wedding was no exception! All day we had compliments about how amazing all the food was! The portions were enormous and still we had left overs!! The antipasti boards were beautiful and everything was such good quality. All the staff were friendly, courteous, and made everything go so smoothly. We honestly will recommend you to everyone we can, your food is perfec, and I wouldn’t fault a single thing. From beginning to end The Spitting Pig were a pleasure to work with. Daisy was so helpful and any questions we had were answered promptly. Jordan came for a site visit which was very reassuring as we were holding our daughter’s wedding at home. Mark and his catering team were brilliant - so organised, so inconspicuous, so professional. The canapés were raved about by so many guests and the platter brought out for the bride and groom was such a lovely touch (they were just disappointed they were taken off for photos leaving the platter in the hands - or shall we stay stomach - of the best man!). The food was delicious and the waiting staff very attentive. All we can say is thank you for helping make our daughter’s wedding day so perfect and memorable.
