Fairly straightforward process, need more pre-delivery checks
Fairly straightforward process. Decent to deal with, although some detail was lost as the sales team handed over between themselves, but soon sorted. New car delivered however without some key checks, so had to be handed back after 48 hours for repair and removal of soil from the engine bay. Loan car provided. Slightly defensive about the deficiency. All good in the end

I recently completed the purchase of my 4th Mini. Teah Bowen was professional throughout the sales process and always with a smile. Great service, I highly recommend Teah and I’m sure I will be back for Mini no 5 at some point .
Unfortunately the same can’t be said of my experience with Rob!. Very patronising and clearly doesn’t value customer loyalty.

My New Mini experience
Despite issues with delivery of our new car (manual) and then a change of mind by myself (automatic), Synter did everything they could to keep us on the road by providing us with a courtesy car until delivery of our new automatic Mini. They went above and beyond to help us.
Vaida especially was professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, firstly when we ordered a manual and then when I decided I wanted to change my order to an automatic. She was a joy in ensuring I had the Mini I wanted.
Many thanks to Vaida and all the staff I dealt with at Synter Cardiff.

I have always wanted to buy a mini from…
I have always wanted to buy a mini from Synter which after waiting 5years I done. I have had my car 2 years 11 months 2016 plate when I bought the car it had done 22.838 miles on it. I had it in the June the car was serviced by Synter in the march. The timing chain on my car has snapped an destroyed the engine the cost of this to repair is £10,000. The service I have received from mini since is shocking they have just totally left us in limbo with no car and no support to repair the car. They are blaming me for no service on the car since but when we requested a service we were told the car had not done enough mileage. I am so disappointed in the way we have been treated I always believed in a main dealer and had such high expectations of mini I’ve never wanted to own a different make car it’s always been mini I am totally devastated and do not know where to go from here.

Dear Emma, thank you for your review and I'm sorry to hear your 2016 MINI has suffered a timing chain issue. I have looked into the detail behind your review and can see that you purchased the car in June 2020 and at the point we prepared the car, the next servicing was required in January 2022 or 18,000 further miles, whichever came first. MINI's have condition based servicing and the intervals will vary based upon driver profile. It is now May 2023 and in the 3 years since you purchased the vehicle, you have not undertaken any oil servicing with MINI and it is overdue by 504 days/6214 miles. This would have been visible on the dashboard every time the vehicle was started, as a reminder. As a result of this and also the fact that the car is over 3 years outside of manufacturer warranty, neither MINI UK or Sytner Cardiff are in a position to contribute financially towards the required repairs to your vehicle as it has not been maintained to manufacturer recommendations. I really do empathise with your situation but hope that you are able to understand why this is the response. I will speak to our parts and service management team to see if there is anything we or MINI UK can do as a goodwill gesture towards the parts costs and labour rate, we will be in touch to let you know if we have been able to reduce the quotation.
