My broadband contract with BT is ending…
My broadband contract with BT is ending on 12 May 2026, so today I went with my son to the EE store in Stratford Mall to ask if I could receive any offer as a loyal customer of over 4 years, and then decide whether to stay or leave.
From the beginning, I clearly explained that I had already found a better offer with Sky for 900 Mbps broadband at £32 per month on a 2-year contract. During the visit, staff started accessing my accounts without proper explanation and insisted on discussing services unrelated to my request, despite me clearly stating what I wanted.
I felt pressured into offers I did not ask for, and my preferences were ignored. This is especially concerning given my previous experiences with EE, where my contract was changed without my consent and my signature was falsified — a situation I have already escalated to the Ombudsman.
As a loyal customer, I expected transparency and respect, not pressure and misleading behaviour. Unfortunately, this experience confirms a pattern of unprofessional conduct.
Based on my experience, I would advise others to be cautious when visiting certain EE stores, as I have encountered similar tactics in multiple locations.
Customers should be able to choose the offers advertised without being pushed into something else. After this experience, I have lost trust and will not return.
Staff accessed both my BT account and my EE account, even though I had only requested an offer for BT, and I insisted that no changes be made because I have other complaints in progress for similar reasons. The staff member assisting us, upon realizing that we did not accept a so-called “fake” offer, left us and walked toward the manager without saying anything. We got up and left feeling unsafe, as I did not feel secure during the interaction.
As evidence, I recorded the conversation because there was no acknowledgment of any mistakes during or after the visit.
Maybe they should change their name from EE to PP (Pi** Poor)
Took out a business plan for 2 esims one of which was set up with an existing number. They sent out the sims with no indication of which one was assigned despite my request to do so. Trying to ring their customer services technical department was two calls to a call centre (which i am guessing is in India) which resulted in no help whatsoever. I am minded to cancel the plan. Sort it out EE.
AVOID EE at all costs.
AVOID EE at all costs.
I have been a customer for the last 8 years. My wifi drops continuously and aside from sending me an engineer after countless trips to the store in Richmond where I got sold a new contract last September the issue is not resolved. I went to the store once again yesterday being Saturday and the last resort is to get a new router. I have to spend hours on the phone with customer services as the staff cannot help. How is this possible after paying religiously every single month for 8 years. I am overpaying so very close to cancel the contract and going elsewhere if this is not solved soon. Money grabbing and awful customer service.
EE still harassing and threatening me after cancellation
EE sent me a threatening letter by post. I cancelled my business account first week in January, on the phone, because I had never been able to log into my account. I spent four hours on the phone with EE (various assistants) and was eventually assured it was cancelled.
Today (February) EE sent me a demand for settlement – they were still billing me! They also threatened to affect my credit rating. How dare they!
Bad in my opinion
1) Mobile app should show balance
2) User shold have an free access to the mobile app even if data lost/no money to top up
3) user should ve able pay with mobile app
4) Consultant in the branch didn't know about EE's plans. I had to proove him with web site
5) Xonsultant in the branch didn't want help me configure plan because i do not buy anything.
Awful, not useful.
AVOID
I would strongly advise others to avoid this company at all costs.
My experience has been nothing short of appalling. I was repeatedly given inaccurate information by both representatives and the sales team, which I now believe was simply to secure a sale. As a result of misleading information and broken promises, I have been left in a very difficult financial position.
On multiple occasions I was told completely different things by different members of staff. Promised call-backs were never actioned, and there appears to be a complete lack of internal communication or accountability. It is deeply concerning that no one seems to know what they are doing, and there is no consistency in the advice provided.
I raised a formal complaint, only for it to be closed without any proper resolution or meaningful investigation. The handling of the complaint process was just as disappointing as the initial service.
I have spent an extraordinary amount of time on the phone trying to rectify issues that were not of my making — including having to call them on my birthday — which only adds to the frustration and stress this situation has caused.
I have now submitted a Subject Access Request and will be escalating my unresolved complaint to the Communications Ombudsman.
Save your time, money, and peace of mind. If you are considering using this company, do not. If you are currently tied into a service, I strongly recommend that you do not renew
E.E. A bad joke
Tried to contact EE Mobile, about my intention to leave-2 mobiles, they offered me a deal to stay, unlimited minutes/texts, 30GB for £10 per month for each phone.
Contacted 150- a complete waste of time, no wonder they have a very bad reputation. All I want is to talk to a human being and accept the deal. 150 IS A BAD JOKE, only silly messaging which does not allow me to accept the deal.Messenger is same. Just reels of BS.
MY nos are 074851**66* and 07734 910***
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. Been a customer with them since one-to-one. Not anymore! Shocking under-hand methods. And very very very expensive. Check out the other companies. There’s just no comparison.
Absolutely the worst company I have had…
Absolutely the worst company I have had to deal with on a sim only deal. sending messages to a phone no we no longer use so we don’t receive them and sending us bills that we now have to pay before they will close account 7 mths after we wanted it closed.
I won’t use them again and will not cancel my broadband too.
So wack v bad
BIG CON
I’ve been a re customer as far back to when it was called ‘one to one’. My phone needs repaired (screen problems) under a year so should be warranty. A small nick on phone frame means warranty invalid… years of loyalty means nothing to this company.
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. Their broadband deals are designed to rip you off in the final year - having to fork out £41/mnth for 150Mbps. Looking forward to NEVER having anything to do with EE ever again! Good riddance.
They lie so watch out!!!!
I had my phone stolen in the summer and got told by ee they would help me with another?utter lies then i find i owe a lot of money as i asked my acct close so i can pay them back but no didnt close now i owe loads as it mounted up and cant pay as it wants it all?? I got told i can pay what i can each month but again lies i cant pay nothing as it keeps sayin pay in full.this ee is the worst company i had so dont beleive what they say as it lies and they make your credit files look bad and wont take my payments total joke ee is.
Absolutely DO NOT GO WITH THEM
Absolutely DO NOT GO WITH THEM. Two sales man came to our door and said full fibre would be available in our road and we could switch over to EE (they pay the switch fee) and it would be lower payments monthly. Absolute lies. We’ve switched back to Virgin as soon as we found out full fibre was never coming to our area and the top speed we could get with EE (broadband only) was 60 and with Virgin we had 250. We have been massively missold and they now won’t pay the over £300 cancellation fee or the two months they charged us even though we never used their service. DO NOT USE. Terrible customer service too.
Don’t trust the EE promise…
I’ve been a loyal customer of EE since the days of T-Mobile. I run 3 phones and have paid a premium for my services for many years. During the Black Friday sales Voxi were offering a great SIM only deal, perfect for teenagers. I contacted EE to obtain relevant PAC codes but was persuaded to wait until 2 of the 3 contracts came to an end. I have had several calls today with EE today to discover they cannot get anywhere close to the deal I discussed previously. Call backs promises were not kept and I shall be pursuing further to gain access to the recording of the conversation held earlier in December. The moral of the story is- Don’t trust ‘Britain’s most trusted Network’
Having been with no other mobile…
Having been with no other mobile provider since mid 1990's (Orange then EE) I was extremely disappointed with recent customer service provided after renewal of my contract.
Instead of a Galaxy S25 Ultra I received a 'Dummy' S23 (confirmed by staff at an EE store).
I was promised contact from fraud department within 3 working days to discuss.
No contact after one week so called EE and after going through whole story for 4th time told I'd be sent a bag to return 'dummy' handset so warehouse could carry out examination, same warehouse that had packed 'dummy' phone.
So, extremely poor service, no apology, no explanation or customer understanding.
Shall be leaving EE
Worst customer service in world
Worst customer service in world
Absolutely dreadful
I would give 0 if I could
I would give 0 if I could. Woke up to £300 taken from my account, now have to go through Ombudsman to try and resolve as apparently I agreed to cancel one of my contracts early, like people haven’t got enough going on. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and years why would I just end a contract like I can afford to pay out right! And to top it off the signal is absolutely rubbish !!!
