Threats and harassment

This company harassed me for months over a non-existent debt after I provided concrete proof that there is no debt. They ignored me for months and months while sending me threatening and harassing letters. They also flagged my previous honest and truthful review and somehow managed to get it removed.

SCUM of the earth

SCUM of the earth, harass you into paying non-existent debts, after you left an energy company that owed you money, that subsequently went bust. Dishonest is an understatement. Don't be bullied into paying money you don't owe just to make them go away. That's what they do, they tell you the only way to get rid of them is to pay them. That's illegal, it's harassment. The law is clear.

they harassed, threatened and bullied me. Only absolutely scum of the earth would work for them. how they can do this to people is unreal, I was close to taking my life through the stress and threatening emails. absolutely disgusting.

Scammers

Scammers. Don’t pay as they continue to break the law and ignore verification of incorrect billing. They make constant threats of legal proceedings, add and remove pretend costs.

Completre scammers

Completre scammers, and i thought they were when they first started hassling me for a UP so called `debt` for £75.

I never had a an account with Utility Point.
Played them at their own game and sent them an invoice from my own company SY Business Services for £325 for the `advice` I had given them in January, and surprise they wont pay it!!

Told them the same as they told me, you have an invoice so the dsebt is `proof` .

Luckily I hate bullies and have always stood up to them, so been playing with them, great fun.

They are nothing short of an old fashioned protection racket but hiding behind `white collars`.

If you have the misfortune of having to deal with them, have fun with them by bombarding them with unpleasant phone calls and emails, plus raise them an invoice for your time in having to deal with them.

Called their bluff

Been harassing for four years, I told them 7 times take me to court but I get the same response, pay up in 7 days or action will be taken, so BSB, take action already ffs

I have finally given in

I have finally given in. After years of being bullied by BSB, naming amongst others Raphael Ngoy who was instrumental in my mental destruction, I have paid BSB.
This organisation is despicable. It uses bully boy tactics and fails to acknowledge any requests for information as to why requests for appeal against demands are being ignored.
When Igloo went bust and I was served out of the blue with an unexpected extortionate bill I was ignored when I tried to appeal.
Against the threats of CCJs and legal action I have, against my better judgement, succumbed to the Bully.
BSB say that they handed in their FCA approval. Was this in fact stripped from them?

For those going through the same pain, try and defeat them. I failed. I am convinced that they are acting illegally

They keep calling just ignore them! Harassment is their speciality as they are not even regulated anymore! You have no contract with them so just ignore! Inform them you will send them a bill for answering their calls.

A nasty bunch of scammers

I have read the reviews about Barratt Smith & Brown and they are clearly a bunch of scammers. The curious thing about the e mail they sent me on 23 Oct 2024 is that as a result of utility point going into liquidation, I owe them £137.70. The thing is, I have never had a supply from UP. I see people have been getting very upset and asking for documentation, etc. Don't do that. After you report them here, block their e mails and junk the existing ones. If they want to take me to court, they will have to serve me with a paper copy of a summons at my address which I am sure they do not know. So don't waste time with them

I have been harassed by this company…

I have been harassed by this company for some years over a supposed debt to Utility Point whom I left in June 2020 having paid my monthly debit on June 10th and the full and final payment on June 24th. My first payment to my new supplier was taken on 8th July. BSB have given me no details of supposed debt, they have sent me nothing in writing, they do not answer phone calls. All they do is send statements with no details of meter readings. And now a threat of court action..

Scam!!!

This ''so called'' debt company has been harassing me for well over a year now. They claim I also owe money to together energy however I have proof that all my balance was up to date and they even gave me a credit when I terminated my contract with them! I hate to think the fear and money they have gained from innocent people because they use real bully boy tactics!

My advise - Ignore, Block and DO NOT give them money!!!

Bullying, lying, threatening charlatans...

I was contacted by BSB back in April 2022 where I fully explained and provided all the correspondence as to why I did not owe Utility Point what they were claiming. Yesterday I received an email, completely out of the blue, threatening me with a CCJ if the "debt" was not paid. They provided no evidence whatsoever, just said they had tried on numerous occasions to reach me by phone and post - simply a downright lie. I tried to call, left a message, sent yet more emails as to why I do not owe this money (based on an incorrect and disputed bill issued in September 2021). No response as yet - and I doubt I will get one. I would happily go to court to vigorously dispute any CCJ - but what a waste of energy, expense, time and addition to my stress levels. What a bunch of lying, bullying charlatans. I feel so sorry for people who are at the end of their threats who do not have the time, wherewithal or capability of dealing with them. I see even Martin Lewis has written to the Energy Secretary about their tactics, which it seems are completely unregulated and unchecked.

Harassment for over 2 years

Since Apr-22 they have been harassing me for a UtilityPoint debt however, i switched supplier and have email correspondence that my balance was in credit when i switched (i wouldn't have been able to switch otherwise..!) and due a refund. Complete chancers, who do not pick up the phone to talk to the people they are trying to harass.

An utterly deplorable cesspit of a company. Sending debt collection emails without a shred of proof of debt, threatening CCJs, no hardcopy communication, no answer as to why the first I hear of this fictitious debt is two years after I switched from Utility Point, no answer as to how I would be in debt as they don’t allow the switch to go through without the account balance being settled, no answer as to how I could be in debt when I paid by direct debit and didn’t cancel the dd for years after the switch! All in all it amounts to scare tactics to get people to part with their hard earned money! Classless cretins!

A Desperate Company on the Brink of Collapse company is clearly on the verge of…

This company is clearly on the verge of going into administration, as confirmed by their Companies House records. They can’t even afford basic office supplies, like first-class postage or decent toner to print their letters. I recently received one where the ink had obviously run out—it was laughable. For the past three years, they’ve been sending me the same empty, threatening letters, trying to intimidate me into compliance. They’re nothing more than chancers, relying on scare tactics because they know they can’t afford to take anyone to court. What they’re doing is likely unlawful, and it’s only a matter of time before they go out of business. I wouldn’t take any of their letters or emails seriously.

Awful

Awful, immoral, crooked, cruel, despicable. These are few of the terms I use for them. I wish there was a minus star or a zero star for these clowns. For 3 years they have harassed me for a phantom utility bill. Despite dozens of futile, threatening communications, after numerous requests to furnish me with the details of account and statements, not a single piece of information. For 3 years they have threatened court action but cowards NEVER instigate that because they have ZERO evidence. Wretched crooks should be struck off. BSB please take me to the court

Like others I want to give ZERO

Like others I want to give ZERO! Letter addressed to the Occupier, idiot I spoke to seemed to think you can pursue an address even though I told him it has to be an individual. Its not even my debt its from before I owned the house
Demanded copies of letters from my solicitor to prove it. Clearly no process at their end to find out who owned it as I'm sure they are obliged to do? I did buy it 2 & a half years ago so it is easy to check! He was also very rude, talked over me, wouldn't listen & was really pompous. Sort of person I'd have on performance management straight away if they reported to me 😡 I've demanded a response to confirm it's sorted but the single contact seems to be away until next week. They should be ashamed. I'm perfectly capable of standing up to their bullying tactics & professional incompetence but many aren't & it makes my blood boil.
