I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I ordered and paid for an engraved glass tanker as a Christmas gift. After two weeks and having not received the item, I had to contact the company for an update. To my shock, I discovered that the delivery cost I initially paid (which was over 20 pounds) was incorrect. I was then quoted a new delivery price that was three times higher. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering the delivery was between the UK and Ireland. I requested a refund in December 2025, and now, at the end of February 2026, I am still waiting for it. The communication has been poor, with incorrect information provided and an incredibly slow process to resolve my refund. Overall, I am hugely disappointed and would not recommend their services, particularly if international postage is involved.

I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment but this is not an accurate review.
We have not been shipping to the EU or wider for the past 12 months and have only done so on individual occasions when a shipping quote has been agreed. Please do see our delivery details where this is stated. https://www.theengravedgiftscompany.co.uk/delivery-details.html
You placed your order on the 1st December without contacting us first for a quote for international shipping. We contacted you via email on the 4th December to provide a quote for the international shipping costs, for sending glassware.
We did not hear back from you until 18th December 20:22 when you declined the quote. The 18th December, 5pm, was our last working days before our offices closed for the Christmas period.
Upon our offices reopening in January, a full refund for your order was processed.
Your next communication to us was on the 24th February. In reply to this email, the same day, we sent you full confirmation details for the refund, that was processed back in January and suggested that you to speak to your bank with the details we provided. You have not contacted us since.
If you have contacted your bank and they require further confirmation of the refund, please do contact us directly, as this can be provided.

Rubbish product, rubbish service
In early December I purchased a present for Christmas & paid at time of online purchase. On 15th, having not received the item, I emailed to know the delivery date. A prompt email response advised that they had sold out; and that they had communicated this to me previously (which they hadn't). They had banked the money and I was not confident I'd get my money back so 'forced' to buy an inferior alternative as time was now tight. It arrived before xmas (well done) but was pretty tacky, lurid coloured and much smaller than advertised.

Poor service….. paid for immediate delivery 2-3days and it arrived 2 weeks later with absolutely no acknowledgment of late delivery.
I WONT BE USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!

We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the delivery speed of your order.
You placed your order, on a standard delivery service, on Boxing Day evening (26.12.25) during the Christmas period when our offices were closed.
Once our offices reopened on the 5th January, we worked through all back orders placed within our down-time period in chronological order. All these orders were dispatched out within 4 working days.
Details regarding our two weeks closure over the Christmas period was displayed on every product page of our website, as well as on the front page banner and main delivery page.
I do hope this clarifies why your order arrived 2 weeks after placing it.

Ordered items last weekend explaining in notes how important it was I need the items by this weekend, paid extra for express delivery and have received no confirmation my order has even been processed, have sent multiple emails and messages, all completely ignored. Really disappointing that a gift company where people are clearly ordering gifts for specific dates cannot reliably get the gifts out to people. This is really stressful particularly when the company do not even respond to messages or emails AT ALL. Their so called ‘chat’ feature on their website also never works and constantly says they are offline.

Great to deal with, can’t fault them
I’ve had a great experience using this company. I wanted an engraved tanker and wanted a quality item with decent engraving. I have a lovely response and I decided to place the order. I also had an issue that I needed it quick and they were more than helpful. They got my order out quick and in time with communication through out. I honestly can’t fault them. When the item arrived, it was well packed and it a large box for extra protection. To top it all off, the tanker was as promised and was received by my nephew for a special 21st present and he loved it!!!
I highly recommend the engraving gifts company and I can’t fault them at all.

Engraved items for School
We have used this company a few times for school gifts. The items have always been good quality and we have been pleased with them. The delivery could be quicker (causing a few days of stress prior to actual receipt of goods) but otherwise an overall positive experience.

I ordered an engraved photo frame for a friend's wedding with next day delivery. Although I received an email stating the item was dispatched (with no tracking number which I found odd) the item didn't arrive. I've sent two chaser emails with no reply & tried to use their chat window on the website which turns out won't connect. Luckily I've paid with my Amex card so I've logged a formal dispute and complaint to hopefully receive a refund as there seems to be no reply from the company at all. This company shouldn't be allowed to trade. Should I not be able to receive a refund I will be reporting this company to trading standards as based on then other reviews (which I also wish I'd seen before purchasing), this company shouldn't be allowed to continue making bogus sales.
