Our History
The Fat Butcher is the brainchild of our founder Mark, a butcher with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Starting as an apprentice butcher in the Dewhurst’s Butchers of Leeds, Mark quickly climbed his way up the ranks before finding himself in a Microbiology training program in Northampton. It was here that he truly got to know meat on a deeper, more scientific level.
After leaving Dewhurst’s, Mark ran the gamut in the retail butchery industry, with positions in traditional butchers, supermarket operations, and town centre market stalls. After years of working in the physical sector, Mark considered that maybe there was a better way.
That’s when The Fat Butcher was born, conceived as an online butchers and meat delivery service that would allow customers to receive personalised and pre-prepared meat boxes straight to their door. No more chancing it on what the butcher had in. No more walking home with heavy bags of meat. Just premium, top-quality cuts of meat delivered straight to your door.

I've had several orders from the fat butchers myself and even had one sent to my granddaughter who's living is working away from home . I truly can't fault them, the meat is delicious , fresh, and good value. delivery service good

Fantastic quality on every order tender meat well packaged and insulated I have fussy boys and my youngest will not eat shop bought meat and loves everything even after freezing it still moist and tender I would definitely recommend this site arrives when said I wouldnt hesitate telling others about this butcher

I had a delivery problem with my order last week and it didnt arrive. The Fat Butcher immediately sent a replacement order which has arrived safely. As always I am delighted with the quality of the meat and I really appreciate their service. 5☆☆☆☆☆

Customer Service Lacking
Had two nice orders, second was missing some items butcher credited it fast. Third order arrived 4 days late so meat was spoiled. Filled in form but had no response to claim even though I have emailed several times. Online chat is just a bot. Spent near £100 and have no food or refunded for it. Disappointed and now no idea how to get help

Have not received my order should have…
Have not received my order should have had it 23/09/2026. DPD have said they have not received the parcel. I asked for a refund and no one is getting back to me. I cannot afford to lose £59 I am a pensioner. Still not had my meat. I want a refund now as its too late. I gave you the benefit of the doubt when you said it was being delivered today. I am really annoyed now so just give me my money back I am not waiting any longer for this too arrive

Website update has caused payment…
Website update has caused payment issues and multiple times, orders were redirected to old address, despite deleting the old address from my account.
When an issue is encountered, there is no contact number and customer service over email were slow and unhelpful.
