Worst Experience Ever
Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with an online company. The shoes are great but returns are impossible. I am almost 2 months into my attempt to get refunds for items I returned promptly that they acknowledge they received. I finally disputed the charge on my credit card but it was charged again because they lied to the credit card company. Then they said they tried to process the refund but it wouldn’t go through because the dispute was not released. I sent them documentation from the credit card company I had released the dispute and now they want something directly from Amex ‘formally’ saying they can put through the refund. All just stalling tactics. My next step is to report them to the fraud division at Amex, and I will be filing a BBB complaint. DO NOT give this company your information. They are not trustworthy.

HOW TO LOSE A LOYAL CUSTOMER
I used to be a loyal customer of The Walking Company when they still had brick-and-mortar stores. This online experience cured me of that loyalty.
I ordered two pairs of shoes in size 8M. They sent the wrong sizes, then sent a used replacement, then refused to fix the remaining wrong pair because I wore it long enough to confirm their mistake.
So in the end, I spent about $150 for the privilege of being inconvenienced repeatedly.
This was my last purchase from The Walking Company.

Extremely slow shipping! Have received several guaranteed delivery dates only for order to still be across the country, and customer service is very unhelpful. I can't speak for the quality of the shoes as I have yet to receive mine, but I recommend going quite literally anywhere else if you wish to actually wear your purchase.
Everything is a problem
Everything is a problem. I went online to buy 1 pair of shoes. They charge an extra $4.00 so that IF you decide to return, you can do so for free. Then when I decided to return, that claim was no where to be found. I had to email & finally call to get it straight. They sent me a return label - I returned the sandals via FedEx ELEVEN days ago - still no refund. They are slow and just a more trouble than one should have buying shoes. I won't bother with WC again.
In love with my shoes!!
I loved the shoes I got, and they were at a great price with an additional discount. I really liked how much I could tailor my search to ensure I was getting everything my feet needed while still having the features I need for a specific type of shoe (i.e. hiking, indoor, etc). My experience was amazing. Shipping took 10 days but for me that wasn't a problem, it's not like I didn't have other shoes to wear in the meantime lol. Next shoes I need I'm buying from here again

Misleading Return Policy and Poor Customer Service
I strongly advise caution when purchasing from The Walking Company. Their return process is misleading and poorly managed. Although they advertise a “$4 pay‑now for free returns” option, they do not honor it. Instead, they attempt to charge at least $10 per pair to return—if they acknowledge the return at all.
Customer service communication is inconsistent. While they may send an initial response, they typically fail to follow up or resolve the issue. In my case, I ultimately had to involve my credit card company to receive a refund.
Based on this experience, I will not be purchasing from The Walking Company again.
Scammmers.....worst company ever. NEVER Order from them
This company is the worst.......if they are even legit. I waited weeks for my shoes to arrive and they they sent the wrong size. The return person had me fill out a form several times that would not give me a return label or an address to return for full credit. Their 7 day return I'm sure is their ultimate saving. I will now give these shoes to a homeless person and go out of my way to make sure no one else ever buys from this company.

I purchased two pairs of shoes for $420 from the walking company 8 days ago. They charged my credit card that day. I've heard nothing about shipping since the email saying the order was placed, so I called them. They said they couldn't tell me anything about the order status, but they have had a lot of delays. I needed these shoes for a medical reason, and that answer was incompetent so it made me suspicious. I asked if they could verify that the shoes that I ordered were actually available and not sold out. It frustrated me even more that they then said they could check that (why wasn't that the obvious first thing they did before?). They found the shoes were out of stock. Enfuriating, but it gets worse. They say it could be that the shoes exist somewhere but they have to call the warehouse. I ask if I can wait on hold. They say they actually have no ability to call them, even though they are open, and they can only email them AND they don't know how long it will take the warehouse to get back. Unbelievable stupidity and incompetence in this whole system. I told the person helping me that this felt inexcusably incompetent for an industry that 8 days ago charged me $420 for two pairs of shoes. Their response was a robotic "this is the only way we do it." I will not order from them again. They don't seem to care at all about basically organizing their company to get the customer a product even when they are charging beyond luxury prices. Horrible.
Mosey on!
I ordered the Mosey short boot..NOT worth the original $90. price OR the before Christmas "sale" price of.$74. They're now about $ 60!!
The boot is well constructed made of suede. The lining is NOT shearling, but some poor-quality fake "fur". There is shearling covering the foot insert. It is supportive at this point. The boot IS short..barely covers the ankle! I would not buy these again.! They should sell for around $40.dollars!

Can’t stop unwanted promotional email and texts from Walking Company
I have bought some shoes from Walking Company in the past and been satisfied. But recently I’ve had to return my purchases so I no longer want to get promotional emails or text from them. I am getting texts and emails almost daily and it’s a nuisance. I called a few months ago and asked that my name be removed And nothing happened so I waited a while and called again and for a while I got less texts and emails, but now I am getting them again. What do I have to do for these promotional emails and texts to stop?!
I canceled the order after 3 weeks - they sent it anyway.
I placed an order that took 5 weeks to arrive. They had promised it in 5-7 business days. I contacted them 4 times asking for ETA, and then finally canceled the order. They shipped it anyway. I wanted to return the shoes because 1) they arrived too late, and 2) they don't fit. I have to PAY for the return freight even though I canceled the order before it was shipped! I am 100% never going to use this company again. I am livid about the lack of customer service. Buyer beware, that's all I can say about this company.
All their "customer service reps" are AI, not real humans. I disputed the charge on my CC and returned the shoes. Buy your shoes anywhere else, but not from this company.
Order lost in the mail and being refused a refund
I ordered shoes on October 13 that are lost in the mail. They were initially with FedEx and now someone at customer service is saying they are with USPS. Instead of issuing a refund I have been going back and forth with representatives pleading for either a replacement shipped overnight or a refund. All they offered was a 10% off coupon on a purchase. Please do not shop here. They take no accountability
Great Prices and Service
I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. Anytime I order from this company, I have a good experience. I just ordered four pair of Dansko shoes on August 28th, which shipped the next day and arrived today (Sept 3rd). That's faster service than I get from many other retailers. One pair didn't fit, so I called to exchange it. My call was answered in a timely manner and I was able to exchange the shoes with no hassle. Bien, the woman who helped me, was very nice and professional. I highly recommend this company. The prices and customer service are great.

I ordered a pair of sandals from the walking company. It recommended that I size down 1/2 size because evidently this shoe runs large. I did size down. The shoe came and it is way too big. I called them to try to return it and they said it was a clearance item and I cannot return it. Since the walking company does not have stores They should have a return policy when you get a shoe that doesn’t fit. Now I’m stuck with a shoe that I paid good money for but I basically can never wear. Very poor customer service.
Not Worth the Hassle
This is the third time in a row that I have had to return shoes and then never received my refund so I had to follow-up with multiple phone calls and inquiries to get a refund. The customer service is very poor and I can no longer continue to do business with a company that is so poorly run and disorganized.
