I am a minibus operator

I am a minibus operator, I only do a few jobs. I have done jobs for this company for years. They are ignoring requests for payment, they get paid in advance but I am chasing payments for jobs I have done for them. The worst thing is they don’t have the decency to reply to me. Ace Minibus

We would, however, like to clarify a few points, as your review gives a misleading impression of the situation. We have worked together for more than six years, during which you regularly covered jobs for us on a weekly basis. We believe this long-standing relationship reflects the professional and respectful way we work with our drivers.
Regarding the payment issue mentioned, the booking in question was clearly confirmed to you as a cash job, meaning payment was to be collected directly from the customer at the time of travel. Unfortunately, the fare was not collected on the day. We are therefore concerned by the suggestion that payment was made to us and withheld, as this was not the case.
Despite the collection of cash payments remaining the driver’s responsibility, we still made efforts to assist by following up with the customer on your behalf. We also remained in communication with you throughout the matter during our normal office hours.You texted at 17 :15 asking about job being cash or account which is already when job was taking place and no one was available in the office to reply. You have been already informed that job is cash when booked.
We always aim to resolve issues fairly and professionally and are disappointed that your review does not fully reflect the circumstances or the support provided.

SHOCKING Experience

We booked a “17-seater” bus for my son’s birthday outing, only to discover on arrival that it actually had 16 seats - meaning one person had to stand. That alone was unacceptable and unsafe.

At the start of the day, we departed around 20 minutes late because a few children arrived late. The driver warned us this might impact the return pickup time as he had another job to do in between. Fair enough. We accepted responsibility for the delay and expected perhaps a 20-minute knock-on effect later in the day.

For the avoidance of doubt - because I fully expect this company to dispute it - we did not leave “30 minutes late” as the manager later aggressively claimed. I know for a fact it was 20 minutes because I have a WhatsApp message timestamped 13:22 to the delayed child’s mother saying: “Don’t worry, we’ve got him now and are on our way.” So if we are splitting hairs, let’s at least stick to reality.

What followed was absolute chaos.

When our scheduled pickup time (17:00) came and went with no update, I called the driver expecting a short delay. Instead, he smugly informed me he was “40 minutes away because you made us leave late.” He eventually arrived 50 minutes after the agreed pickup time (17:50), leaving me stranded with 15 overstimulated 10-year-old boys while anxious parents repeatedly called asking where we were.

Then, around 20 minutes into the return journey, the driver abruptly pulled into an M25 service station and announced he needed to take a mandatory 45-minute break because he had “gone over hours.” The children were left effectively killing time in a petrol station while he took his break. Once again, the blame was placed entirely on our original 20-minute delay. He would not even engage in any form of conversation with myself or my husband, and as soon as we started questioning anything he threatened to discontinue the journey.

At this point, during the middle of this entire fiasco, the MANAGER phoned me directly. I genuinely wish I had recorded the conversation because it was one of the most bizarre and unprofessional customer service calls I have ever experienced.

Not only did he repeatedly call me “honey” despite me asking several times to stop and use my actual name, but he immediately launched into aggressive accusations instead of beginning with even the most basic apology for the situation.

He accused me of somehow “coercing” the driver into continuing the journey - while I was simultaneously supervising 15 children and fielding calls from worried parents. The accusation was absurd.

Even more bizarrely, he then warned me “not to become racist.” I have never seen this guy and have no idea what he looks like, and I am literally a person of colour myself. When I asked him what on earth he was talking about, his response was simply: “Just saying.”

Throughout the call, both the driver and manager kept insisting that every single issue stemmed from our 20-minute delayed departure. When I pointed out that this made absolutely no mathematical sense - because a 20-minute delay does not somehow justify a 50-minute late pickup and a driver running out of legal driving hours - the manager then suddenly changed tack and admitted, “Oh yes, there was traffic too.”

So the explanation constantly changed, but one thing remained consistent: not a single genuine apology or shred of accountability from anyone involved.

I have genuinely never experienced such impudent, defensive, chaotic, and deeply unprofessional service in my life. No ownership, no safeguarding awareness, no respect for customers, and absolutely appalling communication throughout.

Avoid this company at all costs.

A big thank you to the TransportHub…

A big thank you to the TransportHub team for the excellent service. Our group from France did a UK tour and this is the second time I’ve used this service. Everything went really well from start to finish. The driver was friendly, punctual, and very helpful with all the luggage, and communication with the team was smooth.
The group was very happy overall, and we really appreciated the reliability throughout the journey.

We would definitely recommend TransportHub to anyone looking for trustworthy airport and group transport.

On a stag do in Liverpool….

We were on a stag do in Liverpool and we received this email on the Saturday less than 24 hours prior to collection on the Sunday morning. I’m completely shocked that they had an internal problem and expected us to pay more money. I’ve never ever heard of a situation where the company with the internal issue would not absorb the cost which has occurred because of the internal issue. I’m appalled to be completely honest, that I, the client, was in a huge predicament, responsible for 14 adults 200 miles away from home and asked to pay another £200 to get myself out of the predicament.


Dear Joe,
I hope you are doing well. Unfortunately, our driver scheduled for tomorrow has reported sick at the last minute and is unable to cover the booking. We can provide proof of the driver's illness if required.
We have contacted a partner company to try to cover the trip so your journey can still go ahead. The only vehicle available at short notice is a larger vehicle, and the additional cost from the partner operator is £200. This is mainly due to the recent significant increase in fuel costs, which has affected last-minute availability and pricing.
Please let us know if you would like us to confirm this replacement vehicle or if you would prefer to cancel the booking. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.”

Worst of all , I asked for some sort of compensation when the manager was back on the Monday and they refused to help at all.

They said they would consider it on future enquiries, which was hilarious because like hell I would ever use them again.

Stay clear of this company.

Unfortunately, the situation was unpredictable, as the assigned driver became suddenly ill. As with accidents, bereavement, or sudden illness in any field ,not only in the transportation sector, these circumstances are entirely unforeseen and beyond our control. We informed you at the time and offered to provide hospital documentation as proof if needed. Regrettably, we had no alternative driver available to cover the service, which forced us to cancel.

To ensure you were not left without a solution, we suggested an alternative companie and clarified that we do not interfere with their pricing or policies. We simply aimed to help you secure an option. You confirmed that you were happy to proceed with them and asked us to go ahead.

We fully understand your frustration in this situation. However, we were somewhat surprised by the expectation that we would cover any additional fees only because this falls outside our policy. Our booking and cancellation terms were shared with you prior to confirmation so you would be aware of these conditions.

That said, we truly regret the disruption caused and appreciate your understanding of the circumstances.

Do not use this company when getting a…

Do not use this company when getting a quote they were very pushy and constantly messaging even though I said I was in the process of speaking to my friends to confirm numbers etc. when asked after numerous times I said yes I will pay the deposit Friday. Their response was Friday???? It’s only £50. I think as a business this is extremely rude £50 to some people could be a lot of money. When I responded and said I won’t be using them as I found the pushy and rude their response was excuse me I think you’re rude. I just found it mad that this is a business account and this is how they behave

Buxton football day out

Transport hub were very responsive from the very 1st email I sent to them. Sarah who was very professional and quick to respond with a quote which beat any other quote, Sarah returned every email and sorted changes that were made my myself quickly and without any fuss. I will 100% be using transport hub and Sarah's services in the future. The driver was as professional as you could ask for he was there before arranged time on pick up and return journey and drove very professionally again 100% professionalism.

Day trip to the races
