I reported fraud for my account somehow…

I reported fraud for my account somehow money was being stolen through Zelle and the people who did deposited a check into my account which was returned. No charges or anything. Then they closed all my accounts and opened new accounts but I had to go inside the bank to get cash which would’ve been cool until the fraud case was over. Then I go inside to get cash and all the new accounts are blocked so they have thousands of dollars which I have no access to ! On top of that all money that was normally deposited with square are in limbo land because the accounts have been froze. Now I’m racking up late fees like crazy all behind my account being jeopardized poor customer service with no answers hopefully they’ll release my funds soon so I can pay my bills. I will never bank with Truist again. It should be called “Fakest “

If I could score a zero I would

If I could score a zero I would. Truist customer service is the worse ever and they don't stick by their customer. For the first time in my life I disputed a charge on my credit card for dog grooming. they cut my dog open an I had to pay to get a collar and medicine so she doesn't lick it. She is 13 and now hides under the bed which she has never done before but Truist said " I received the merchandise requested". I didn't request my dog to be cut open.

I've been a client since the days of…

I've been a client since the days of First Virginia Bank. I went through all the mergers and BB&T ect, ect. Now we come to good Ole Truist. It has been one problem after another. I'm not going to get into details but I will tell you this. You are not going to get anything resolved over the phone do to out sourcing over seas. I'm also tired of talking to people named "ANDY." I'm done with these "CLOWNS." I think it's time to join a better circus.

Truist JUST withdrew $3000 from my bank…

Truist JUST withdrew $3000 from my bank account. I am not affiliated with the company. I don't have an account with them. I did not authorize this withdrawl. I talked to their fraud department and customer service. They were not helpful at all. Plus I was on hold for 30 minutes. Just a heads up!

That is definitely a huge waste of time—it’s frustrating that he went through the trouble of counting all that cash before checking if you even had an account.
Since you want to post this across multiple sites, here is a draft you can copy and paste. It hits on the fact that they wasted your time and showed zero interest in gaining a future customer.

This banking institution is a complete joke. Today, I received a letter informing me they were unable to verify my identity from an application submitted through Retail Lending. I obviously did not submit an application. But, why wouldn't you include a phone number or email so I can learn more as to who and what was being used to secure financing. Again, how can I find out what was taking place since I was not aware potential fraud was being committed?

ATM experience

I bank at the Robert C Byrd branch In Beckley WV. For a month I have been trying to make a cash deposit thru the ATM and I’m not given an option for deposits. The ATM also displays that transfers are unavailable. I have had to go in the lobby every time to make my deposit, which is an inconvenience. I was told by one of the employees at the branch that there are issues with the machine and It is being replaced in the fall so this machine probably will not be fixed. I’m sorry but this is unacceptable. The ATM is supposed to be for convenience and should be working properly. I used to work for BB&T and I know that this would have never happened before Truist . Also your toll free customer service department is horrible. It would be nice to speak to someone who speaks English and they are not helpful

I was given a check that did not clear…

I was given a check that did not clear from a company so they decided to close my accounts. My personal account had over $500 in it and now nobody can figure out how to give me my money back. This is ridiculous and unethical. I am so glad I don’t have that Bank anymore

TRUIST FROZE MY ACCOUNTS AND 30 DAYS LATER- NO $$

I received a wire to my bank account which Truist decided was suspicious- but they wouldn't tell me why. I later learned, from the bank who issued the wire (they reached out to Truist for me) the issue was I had started a consulting business and the wire was in my consulting name which happens to include my initials. Ironic they share that with a third party but not with me. When my account was frozen, Truist would not tell me what the issue was. Overseas personnel who refused to give me a supervisor. Stateside people who will "file a report for you, escalate it to their manager' but won't let you speak to anyone. I asked what I could provide, what they needed to resolve the issue. They told me they owed me no information while my account was being investigated. I called 15 times and went to the branch twice. It has been over 30 days and I still don't have access to my money. They closed my account and every account I was associated with, my grown children, my mothers. They said they were mailing checks- never arrived. Ironically no tracking numbers, just mail tens of thousands of dollars after they 'noted' your account that you would prefer to pick up the check at a branch but instead 'mail' it anyway. and then you are the problem when you never see your money. The company I opened is legitimate, it is registered with the (FL) state and an EIN. My name matches, address matches- five minutes of 'investigating' or a 30 second rejection of the wire would have resolved the issue. They could have rejected the wire, they could have called me, I could have given them everything they needed. I have been a client for 15 years, 100% locked out of my accounts (now they closed the 6 accounts) . Now when trying to get them to issue a stop payment and reissue the supposed check, they ask me the last deposit amount, my last log in, things I can't know without online access to my account for 30 days. They have $30k of my money - don't take the risk of depositing your money- once you give your money to Truist, you have no control of it and you may never get it back. They are unethical, not transparent, lazy and check the box on their SOP's without any common sense or understanding of impact on their customers.

Worst bank ever I had to go threw 3-5 cards due to fraud for Netflix and Xbox charges I haven’t owned a Xbox for over 3 years now then get told oh that’s because Truist gave them my debit card number when that’s private Information and shouldn’t be shared by them to any one will they offered me a personalized card I ordered one had a picture approved to wait over a month for them to cancel my temp card I call in to figure out why I haven’t received a card to get told it was delivered over to weeks ago for the blame to be put off on me well I told them to order me a new one for when it finally comes in it’s not the personalized card I ordered so I called back again just to be forced to have to go threw the whole process for another new card having to wait another month and a half for the card again finally get that card and when I ordered the new one they asked about changing my pin I told them not to touch my pin or change it at all. When I went to use my debit card as debit it was denied for wrong pin so I called there 800 number to be told I have to wait for one to be mailed out it would be 5-7 days I waited over a week for it to never arrive I called complaining for them to want to mail it again and refuse to reset my pin or help me and they kept calling mam when I told them multiple times I’m a guy don’t call me that just for them to hang up on me so I called and asked for a supervisor and told them I’m not explaining my self twice and the agent on the phone decides to start a argument with me and thought it was ok to worst experience ever

Estuvimos en el Truist Bank (10690 NW 12th st) hoy y abrimos una cuenta y la atención fue espectacular, la señorita Julia López nos recibió y fue muy amable colaboradora con nosotras. Quedamos muy complacidas

NEGATIVE stars took 3 payments out of our up…

- stars took 3 payments out of our up to date account told us it wouldn't happen again and said our bank account info was deleted but took money again from our account. Fast forward, no account access for them and sent them a principal payment and they took interest out of it 2 phone calls later and all they can say is it was done manually so we wouldn't see it on line but it was done. Now we have to request a full account history to make sure they arent screwing us elsewhere. Calling a lawyer.

Nightmare Location

I can only leave a review for the Bowie branch Laurel Bowie road.
The last three trips that I needed to use a teller inside was a nightmare. ALL three times I stood in line for at least thirty minutes. Two tellers, no drive through open, one teller tied up with a commercial deposit and the other dealing with customers that had an appointment. I've slowly moved my money to Capital one. If you need to do business with this location, bring a chair and a snack.

My mortgagor sold my mortgage to…

My mortgagor sold my mortgage to Truist. I had bimonthly payments sent up which needed to be done again with Truist. For the last 4 days I have been trying to do that on their website without success. Wait times to customer service personal have been as long as 58 min. The website is terrible.

Most awful experience with a bank ever

Most awful experience with a bank ever. Got a $68k 20 year boat loan in 2023 and sent in the final payment for the amount shown on my last statement last month which is 17 years before the loan matures. Well guess what...I now owe $1254 more dollars even though the amount I sent in was the exact amount on the last statement. The customer service rep was obviously working in another country and kept me on the phone for over an hour trying to figure out why we still had a balance even though we paid in full. NO RESOLUTION!! I will never again work with this bank.
