My daughter has been using tutorwiz for…
My daughter has been using tutorwiz for help with her GCSE’s. Since starting her maths and English have both gone up a whole grade, this showed in her mocks exams. This is really helping her and has given her a lot more confidence. She really struggled with maths but tutorwiz is really helping with the weekly plans set out for her to do, and if she don’t know the answers it shows her how to work it out.

Tutorwiz has been so helpful to my children as they enjoy the lessons because it's independent and also have reward attached to completed lessons.
The tutor also get in touch from time to time, to discuss the progress of the children and also encourage me to contact them for any concerns.

Boring and out of date
We just had a demo and I have to say that I haven’t seen such dated software for a long time! In addition to the educational part there were some ‚games’ such as hangman… the whole thing felt like 80ties. Needless to say my kids weren’t impressed either. In summary, the portal looks really boring and out of date. Additionally, the tutor is available 2 or 3 hours /day Mondays through Thursdays only - via email or phone!

Sorry, we weren't the right fit for your son.
Having looked back at the recording of our demonstration with you and having spoken to the education consultant concerned, you were shown about 1% of the entire platform, and it was mentioned by you that playing games had to be a key part of the students' learning.
We don't advocate learning in that fashion. More formal education would be required. The games are meant to add some relaxation to learning and also complement the subject. The student collects points that are added to the points earned whilst completing the set work, which can then be redeemed for gift vouchers.
Tutorwiz is designed as a structured learning platform focused on building skills and confidence, rather than a game-based experience. Many students find it becomes more engaging as they get started, build confidence, and earn points towards gift vouchers. We focus on lesson plans tailored to students' levels, meaning we give them lessons they can do, building their confidence. Our tutors also help ensure each child's learning plan is set at the right level and provide support to help students achieve the best results.
Students are struggling right now because of their learning gaps. Playing games alone will not help a student, but a structured learning plan will.
We would still love for you to give the free experience period a try. Wishing you and your son all the very best.

Beware
After confirming in an email and on the phone that if my child did not get along with the minimal support that they give I was sent this email after we left
By cancelling the agreement early and without communication to Tutorwiz, it "may" trigger our collections team to discuss options to pay the outstanding balance of £576.00
Beware
UPDATE- 3 weeks later and still being harassed, be careful when they call you on a mobile number as that is when they pretend to not be able to find calls.

Dear Mr Humphreys.
I have looked into this case, and I apologise for the delay in getting back to you.
The account holder signed an agreement on December 18th 2025, which allowed 2 free weeks starting from early January 2026. In fact, the first payment was collected on the 28th of January, giving an extra week free!
Subsequently, the account holder cancelled the payment plan, stating that the tutoring system could be cancelled at any time, which is incorrect, as a recording of the live demonstration was sent detailing a 6-month commitment, and the Terms and Conditions detail a 6-month agreement. A standard email was sent to you mentioning that it had been cancelled, that it could have been a mistake, and offering the option to restart the plan.
Unfortunately, it was then that a 1-star review was posted.
At this time, we received an email requesting either a cancellation or a suspension due to a student's illness. If we had known of this earlier, we would have stopped the system and payment plan, as our concern is always with the student. We hope that your daughter has made a speedy recovery. We sent an email to this effect to the account holder on April 4th 2026. The team here has agreed to stop the system, and there will be no further chase-ups for the outstanding amount. (Copies of all emails can be sent to you for inspection).
As for missed calls, all our calls, interactions, and live demos are logged, as shown by the video of the live demo that discussed the 6-month agreement.

Their customer service is awful
Their customer service is awful. They get you trapped in the 6 month contract telling you that you can quit anytime, when asked to pause the subscription they keep taking payments. I had a terrible experience!!!

My granddaughter commenced home…
My granddaughter commenced home education in August. We used this company to help my granddaughter gain her confidence back. She was assessed, the outcome was, she worked at her level, not what was expected.
There was support if we needed it.
The weekly results were very helpful, and help provide evidence to the LA.

We needed math & English GCSE as part of our Home Education for my two daughter in year 8 & year 10 .. honestly a fantastic Education Platform that catered for both girls year academic requirements with a tutor on call & they also weekly catch up with you as a family to see if you need additional support. You also receive a weekly emailed report on each child’s progress and this can be used for schools or in our case the Education Department to prove full time home education.
I could not have achieved home Education without Tutor Wiz .. so would defo recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊.. Hannah Beatrice & Hetty

Great online tutoring!
Great online tutoring with really helpful admin staff and tutors. My daughter really enjoyed the structure and I found the weekly reports super helpful.

Great support in our time of need
I feel Tutorwiz was a great option for our son who hit a difficult patch at school through sen needs and school not being the right environment for him. We had an interim period where school and the local authority wouldn’t provide learning materials for him at home. We signed up to Tutorwiz for access to maths and English for him to keep up at home. It was very straightforward in regards setting up; the sessions were easy to follow and we got follow up reports and weekly check ins. The staff very responsive and if we need to come back to them we won’t hesitate. He’s back in school now on and off and thanks to tutorwiz hasn’t fallen too far behind his peers. He’s in Year 8.
Would highly recommend.

NOT real teachers, just remote workers reading from a SCRIPT.
No real feedback for my son. Think it happened once. Couldn't do enough for us whilst setting up the account (bank details).
Difficult to get hold of someone to help 'tutor' my son. Often no return calls and only worked Monday to Thursday 3.30 - 6.30pm.
May as well have downloaded a GCSE app as the tutors were so awful, I ended up teaching my son.
And at the end I tried to download the £5 primark voucher my son worked hard for their 'admin' had blocked my email from requesting this.
Awful company.
Total con.
Steer clear!

The tutors we employ are full time professional tutors rather than school teachers. They do not read from scripts, instead they provide support targeted to each individual student's needs. Our team of tutors are well-experienced and knowledgeable in the UK's National Curriculum. Regarding feedback, our records show that weekly progress reports were sent to you every Sunday, along with additional reports whenever your son completed work. You mentioned no returned calls, however, our call log indicates we missed only one call form you, which was returned shortly after. With regards to your voucher, the request was received on Monday 17th November and the £5 Primark voucher was sent out on Tuesday 18th November and successfully downloaded, so no email appears to have been blocked. Again, we're sorry we have fallen short of your expectations.
