Venture Ashore Avis 

We booked four shore excursions with Venture Ashore as we used Planet Cruise.
Unfortunately 3 out of the 4 were cancelled due to insufficient numbers. The one tour we did complete was a tour of Bodrum and we were the only people to do the tour. The tour guide Nazmi was excellent and we would thoroughly recommend him. He was very knowledgeable and welcoming.

From the moment we left the ship and our guide and driver were waiting for us to when they dropped us off at the planned time it was a great excursion. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of architecture, history, politics and spoke fluent english. We enjoyed every minute of the excursion.

Great guide, but actual cost of trip wayyyy overpriced for what it is. Just a small coach tour driving around the local area - could have done it at a quarter of the price with a local taxi.

No information at port gate ,no sign saying venture ashore stop ,not sure if bus was going to turn up,should be someone with name on a board waiting as per instruction,bus driver was on his own no rep luckily he could speak English and was very good.

Booked a round trip from zeebrugge to Brugge. Both taxis arrived on time, were flexible with pickup and dropped us off in a very central location. .. overall great service ... would use again.

The meet up location was very clear and organized. The driver, Harmony, was so informative and made the tour so enjoyable. We loved our time at Mendenhall Glacier!

Great having a running commentary in English. Driver was extremely helpful and buses appeared to be frequent,

Another communication failure.
Ship changed port dates 2 days before start of cruise.Contacted Venture Ashore right up to the Saturday afternoon before leaving on the Sunday and they could not give me an alternative date. On return I contacted them for refund. Told an email was sent with new port date and time. No such email arrived in my Gmail account. They sent a copy as proof but it Did NOT arrive. Thought is very suspicious as it was dated the Sunday morning I traveled and sent very early in the morning after they could not give me any information the night before.
They made it very clear no refund . Learnt a hard lesson do your research in future before you part with your money .

tours were as advertised. Guides were personable and informative.

A bit of confusion with the pickup.
Once we got that sorted out, he said that we couldn't go to Skaill House and Skara Brae because we didn't have tickets. It was never indicated in the multiple emails that we needed to acquire tickets.
Disappointed.
Friendly guy but we kept on having to ask him questions.
Kirkwall was beautiful

We had a wonderful excursion with our guide, (Martin?), who was extremely knowledgeable about so many things on this tour. I definitely recommend booking this tour of Belfast and Giant’s Causeway.

Yanis our tour guide in Athens was fantastic. He made every effort for us to see everything and was knowledgeable and very respectful.
Eristhema our guide in Olympia was very knowledgeable and made it interesting
Advise guests that Corfu tastes caves and beach that there is no shade available on the beach, guide was very good.

Tony, our guide for the Giants Causeway & Belfast City tour was very informative & looked after us really well with a scenic drive with local history thrown in with good humour.

Excellent trips, no hic ups and very good value for money.

We were recommended Venture Ashore by our travel agent as a company that would provide tours similar to the ones that the Cruise Line offered but at a much reduced price, we booked 3 tours and were absolutely delighted by the quality of the transport ranging from an 8 and 20 seat minibus to a double decker. The tour guides were first class, knowledgeable about the tour they were leading and helpful, nothing was a trouble for them and they always had a smile on there face which added to the overall experience.
Whenever we book our next cruise we will definitely be booking our tours with Venture Ashore , we have no hesitation in recommending them as they provide a service which can only be described as superb.

Our guide met us and took us around the main sights. As we were the only people who had booked, we had a taxi for just the 3 of us, and Ben our guide was happy to individualise our tour. We really enjoyed it and would book with Venture Ashore again!

Tour guide was amazing! He showed us all of the best highlights and places during this packed tour time. He took pictures for groups, patiently waited while the Gibraltar apes came to interact. Well organized, well paced, highly informative and engaging.

The guide on the tour was excellent as she was very knowledgeable and made sure we were all well looked after. Everything was perfectly arranged

I had initially booked a private tour from the ship to Rome. However, our plans changed and I called them (well over a week in advance) to ask if they could arrange for us to go to Florence instead. If not, I would be cancelling. The woman on the phone said she'd get back to me and never did. Three days before the tour, having never heard back from them, I confirmed cancellation via email and they responded that they weren't going to refund my money because it wasn't a week in advance. I decided to deal with it when I returned home. Then when we docked, there was a driver waiting because they never told him that we had cancelled. He was understandably angry which we had to deal with. Not a professional, buttoned up company and I'm still trying to get my money back.

Fantastic excursion treated like a v.i.p luxury air conditioned mini bus,very knowledgeable guide took great care of all the members of our small group.amazing trip for less money cannot rate it higher more that five stars .I would definitely recommend venture assured to everyone.
