Vodafone UK - Bolton Avis 

Unbelievably patient and helpful.. we cannot thank Matt and the staff at the Bolton office enough for all the time they have taken to help us with our new phones.. setting them up and ensuring everything is perfect for us.. kind and extremely helpful.. thankyou .. kind regards

Called into Bolton Vodafone shop because my plan was coming to an end and the app wasn't the slightest bit useful (what is the point of 'Toby' when all it does is buffer!) At one point the app wouldn't accept my email address and told me my phone number didn't exist!
Felt a bit daft because I hadn't a clue how to sort it out. A lad called Liam came to my rescue and sorted everything out for me. Made me feel at ease and was really helpful.
It's 5 stars for Liam rather than Vodafone (they only get 1)

Mathew gave a great constructive reception..needed a sim, to tag on to my account..couldn't of been easier, straightforward and a great price..definitely better than some telecoms I've dealt with.

Send in some secret shoppers. It's disgraceful NOTE This is in relation to Vodafone Bolton store.
I have visited 3 times. First visit was not inspiring, as i simply wanted a pay as you go SIM to assess the network quality. We had a lengthy wait for this SIM to be activated and the young member of staff appeared bored and moody.
I had been advised the Vodafone network was reasonable in my local area; so after a personal recommendation, I persevered. Having been with Three, and having awful reception I was eager to change provider.
My second visit was a negative experience, as the SIM was not working and whilst they adjusted things so the SIM actually worked, there was absolutly no apology or anything resembling customer service. I stated that weeks had passed and that we only had the SIM for a limited time. I felt disappointed that we only had limited time to test the network.
Again, the staff member, was disinterested and clearly didn't want to be there.
I was perplexed after explaining we wanted new contracts, by the lack of interest.
There are so many young people looking for work, why does this store seem to be full of those that do not want to interact with customers in a polite or friendly way? I wrote this off hoping it was due to young, inexperienced staff member (again), who was disinterested and unhelpful.
Next, I spoke to Vodafone sales team over the phone and have signed up to 2 new contracts. The Sales staff (unsurprisingly) were polite, friendly and helpful.
Today I was encountering issues with one line after swapping over to Vodafone.
One number had not ported and the phone was redirecting calls (on the Vodafone number) to voicemail.
We were already in town for an appointment, so whent into the store, to avoid a lengthy call.
Three staff stood around doing nothing, and non seemed eager to assist.
I approached the Manager (or supervisor) and explained the issue I encountered. He was haughty and unclear in his communication. My 16 year old son had to reiterate the issue, as he could see I was upset by the man's unprofessional approach.
The representative did not explain himself in an appropriate manner and I felt belittled - he told me I should still be using my old SIM (3 network) until I received a notification message I no longer had network connection and that I should ignore Vodafone texts to change settings.
I felt I need to justify why I was using my new contract SIM. And, again, that I was bothering staff with my enquiries.
I can only presume staff earn commission and do not benefit financially by assisting existing customers, but staff were not busy.
And if, on previous occasions they had been moderately helpful, I would purchased contracts
Genuinely, if I could rate this store any lower, based on 3 experiences I would.

We visited the Vodafone store in Bolton and was served by an amazing gentleman called Lee.
He provided exceptional first class customer service and went above and beyond.

He is such a professional in his work around taking his time around getting myself the right package deal to my needs and my family.

Everything he had explained was clear and concise that i could understand in a clear and easy format and went with the package dongle that suited all my needs not to mention getting at the price that was affordable and amazing to myself.
Lee has an amazing smile and sense of humour that leaves you relaxed in the middle of all the information that needs to be processed during the contract process.

I highly recommend that anyone who wants a 10/10 service this Vodafone store is the one to go into for that full service
