Employee, Shahkiel is so professional and very helpful. The rental car (id.3 electric) was clean and lovely to drive. I was able to extend my rental at very short notice, which wasn't a problem and also cancel my rental before the date I had arranged. Shahkiel sorted this out for me and refunded the difference. I would highly recommend hiring a car from here.

this may have been our best rental car experience ever. Staff were extremely helpful during booking and at pick up and return of the car - even driving us to the correct location when a taxi dropped us off at the wrong address, and driving us to the train station when the rental was over. The car was clean and in good working order and gave us a very comfortable ride during the nine days we had it. Will definitely rent from VWFS Rent a Car Skoda Durham again.

The service from this car rental is second to none. I have used many other car-hire companies but none come close to the quality of the cars and the service the staff give.

Everything was good about this experience except that it is not good to hand over a car to someone with just a thimble-full of petrol in it! I ended up handing the car back with a lot of fuel in the tank which isn't really fair. Full-to-full is much better option for rental cars in my opinion.

Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. Had the car over 30 days due to my insurance company! Therefore had to keep renewing the rental week after week. Claire and Shahkiel always there to renew. / ask questions, kept me on the road that’s for sure

Our original booking with VWFS Rent a Car Skoda Durham was cancelled by email without warning or a clear explanation the day before we were due to collect the car.
Fortunately, as a result of calling VWFS to challenge the cancellation, we were connected with Claire Thompson at VWFS Rent a Car Skoda Cramlington, who swiftly resolved the problem. She provided us with a super 2021 Octavia estate as booked, and was very efficient and an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout.
Durham's loss is Cramlington's gain - we will go directly to Claire next time we need a car.

Handover experience from the contact at VW dealership was faultless. He made sure I was completely informed and understood everything I was signing. The car was absolutely spotless, had a quarter tank of fuel, and all the features were clearly explained. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

The car hire itself was great. The aftercare not so hot. Can I have my deposit back please? It’s been two days. I’ve called several times and I’m still waiting for a call back to confirm the return is being actioned.
