SCAM DO NOT USE!

Held onto my jacket for over 6 weeks, did not repsond to any emails.

Jacket suddenly arrived back crushed in a tiny carrier bag, smelling of damp and still soaked in oil (which only covered half the jacket).

Search 'Karl Ward Devon Live' online, he's been fined for misleading customers and had over 100 complants from Trading Standards.

I couldn't fault the price or the service.
I was particularly impressed by the fact that they stuck to the estimate even though photographs can't show everything!
I have now got my late Father's coat back in use!

I found the company through a Google search after a wax jacket I'd purchased from Welligogs had become leaky and the hanging loop had snapped. The spray that came with the coat to re-waterproof didn't prove up to the task, so I turned to Google for help and found Paul. The jacket was sent off recorded delivery and returned three weeks later. I have yet to put the rewaxing to the test but looking out of the window, today might be a good day to do that. However, so far, so good!

I mean, sure, he's been taken to court by Devon Trading Standards for conning dozens and dozens of customers, but that's just a minor detail. And sure, he was only fined £5000, which he's probably paying off at a rate of £5 per week, but that's just a slap on the wrist. Brilliant service . Great communication and my jacket looks like new and all within a week

Just an incredible finish to a 10 yr old jacket. The team dyed a light tan Belstaff Trail Master Black. Relentless to achieve an exceptional finish it took 3 separate occasions to finally hit the colour needed. Can’t recommend Paul and the team highly enough. Upcycle ♻️ your old garnets and bring them back to life don’t dump them.

My 50 year old belstaff trailblazer had experienced some tough times with some rips and fraying of cuffs etc. still it had been with me through some interesting bike crashes. I wasn’t expecting too much but overjoyed with the repair and restoration work undertaken by such a sympathetic and caring company. They understood the significance and history and the passing to my youngest son. The finished work is outstanding and though not cheap was great value. Many many thanks to Paul and his team

First time I've used any wax cleaning service, I sent off my long Drizabone riding coat & my Husband's short wax gilet. Paul was really helpful & very prompt in all communications from the outset & both coats now look fantastic. Mine needed several repairs too & these have been done very professionally by the tailors. I thought they would come back feeling damp/waxy/cold but they just feel lovely! It is rare to find a company offering such a personal & professional service these days, hats off to you guys & gals!

Unfortunately I’ve not had the great experience that many seem to have had. My jacket took a month to be returned to me after a resizing and when it arrived there was a break in the stitching. Sent 8t back to be repaired again and it took almost a ,onto to get the repaired jacket back. Really hoped this would be great as I’ve got several jackets which could do with relax and repair but no dice. Shame

What a great company - rare to find these days

We sent our jackets to The Wax Jacket Cleaning Company at the beginning of January as they needed re waxing and some repairs and a replacement zip in one of them

We received the quote / invoice in December as we were going away for the festive period .

So after a really detailed conversation re what was needed and excellent advice and general education on our jackets to better our storage arrangements due to the mould that was on it .

So we have just received our jacket back looking so good , the repairs are outstanding and we had a clean and re wax the jackets genuinely look fantastic

i submitted a request for quote online and got an invoice back. Posted my beloved Barbour for repairs. No one was available to receive the parcel so it is still sat in the sorting office. when the estimated timeframe arrived, i tried to call and email repeatedly for update and no one is responding. from this experience and online research it looks like this is a scam company. Avoid

I ordered a rogue territory waxed canvas supply jacket that needed tailoring and sent it in to the wax jacket cleaning company to get altered. They spoke to me over the phone to make sure they altered my jacket to exactly how I wanted. They stayed in touch throughout the whole process and the jacket was perfect when I got it back. I have a Barbour jacket which needs the selves lengthened and I will 100% be sending it to this company. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I can’t rate this company highly enough. Paul and his team have given a first class service from start to finish. My 7 year old, very well lived in Barbour was in need of some serious TLC. I had attempted to re wax it myself a few times and also tried to do a couple of repairs. It didn’t go so well! I sent it off to Wax Jacket Cleaning in Ilfracombe.
Paul replied to every email really promptly and quoted on photographs that I sent. Within four days of my first contact, the jacket was with them and work was started.
I’ve just received it back and can’t stress enough how over the moon I am with it. Cleaned, rewaxed and repaired (including a half sleeve patch which matches in beautifully and cuff repairs where it was all frayed and worn).
I won’t be attempting any more DIY on it, it will be going off to Paul again and again for rewaxing and any more repairs that may be needed.

Amazing service

Ever since our first enquiry when they requested some pictures due to the extensive work needed on my husbands vintage battered Belstaff motorcycle jacket , so they give us an indication of turnaround time and costs
So we sent our jackets to them and they were so good confirmation our jackets had arrived updates on before and after progress and then they also sent us the tracking info when our jackets were returned and superbly packed and delivered
