Best Support by Phone!

The customer supposrt have been excellent. When I was financing my car, they offered the very best interest rate and I have found the same to be true with thier credit cards. The staff at both branches I have visited have always been friendly and knowledgable. I have not a single complaint. I love this bank

I called Wescom to ask about getting…

I called Wescom to ask about getting pre-qualified for an auto loan, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
Before even knowing what I needed, the representative asked for my full name, address, and Social Security number, just to connect me to the right department.
When I explained that I wasn’t calling to move money or access my account, but simply to ask about an auto loan, she still refused to transfer me without all that information.
The supervisor who came on the line was also unhelpful and dismissive.
It felt like they cared more about gatekeeping than actually helping customers.
I hope Wescom trains their staff to listen first and understand the reason for a call before asking for unnecessary personal details.

BEWARE Wescom is the worst credit union

Wescom is the worst credit union. I opened a checking and savings account in 2023. I applied the same time for a (LOC) line of credit and their Visa card. Well, I was approved for the LOC but not a visa card. That does not make any sense. I just applied for a visa credit card on 6/19/2024 as was declined. I have excellent credit and three Big credit card company's approved me but not Wescom. Customer service is very unprofessional and not helpful. I CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP TODAY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FLY BY NIGHT CREDIT UNION. PITIFUL AND DISGUESTING.

Stay away! They dont try to help…

I have been banking with wescom for over 20 years, we have 3 accounts with them and also direct deposit on all 3. I also have an auto loan and payment is automatically debited from my account, I have not missed any payments and have also made my payments early. Just recently I applied for a loan to consolidate my debt and was denied. No explanation other than too much debt (the loan was to consolidate my debt , $5k!) but they approved a $21k auto loan? Make that make sense. Now they are returning my accounts but charging a $30 fee. Thats how they make their money. I will be looking into another bank.

UNETHICAL AND DECEPTIVE

This is specifically in regard to the Torrance, ca. branch located on Hawthorne Blvd. When we got married, my husband added me as a joint account owner on his personal account. I overdrew the account a few times by a lot so I removed myself from the account. The branch manager, Elias Norkin, called me and was just so nasty to me and swore that I would NEVER have an account with debit card access at Wescom again! So to prove him wrong, I opened an account online and ordered a debit card which arrived in the mail within a week. Mr. Norkin is so unprofessional and unethical, he divulged my private personal checking account information to my father-in-law and brother-in-law when neither of them are on my account!!! He told them negative and untrue information and swore that he was going to "go after me" for whatever he "imagined" he could. Furthermore, they deceivingly signed my elderly father-in-law up for an INTEREST ONLY for the first TEN YEARS HELOC line of credit when what he asked for was an Equity Loan! They took advantage of the fact that he is elderly (prey, to them!) and unsuspecting! Additionally, they said it was going to be less than 3% interest but failed to mention that it was only for the first few months!!! Very deceptive and unethical practices!

I have been with Wescom for over 20…

I have been with Wescom for over 20 years.
I highly recommend them. There online services make everything easy. We just recently even moved our mortgage there! The mortgage took a bit to close, but that was due to the influx of customers due to the low interest rates.

Holy cow, I love you!

I've been with this credit union since I was 16 and probably will never leave. I've even stayed with them after moving to Northern California where there aren't any branches. Their online banking has an easy to use interface, and their employees go above and beyond.
