We was immediately impressed with his customer service skills and none pushy approach. Easy to talk to, friendly and knowledgeable in his role. From the intial 1:1 discussion to his site visit to measure we felt at ease purchasing from Harry.
The kitchen itself is of good quality, great price in the sale, and fairly straight forward to fit as we did it ourselves. Communication first class from arranging delivery appointment to delivery itself.
Finally I just want to say Harry is a credit to his profession and to Wickes itself, and I wish him all the best.

My item was exchanged and a new receipt issued. There was no fuss and it was straight forward. The staff were very helpful. The service was excellent.

They didn't even turn up for the appointment, despite sending a confirmation the day before. When I rang up they said the designer was on long term sick but they hadn't bothered to let me know. Now I have received an email saying did I enjoy the appointment 😅!

Made an appointment at the Halifax Wickes at 4 pm . My husband and I organised our day around this appointment. We arrived to discover that the bathroom planner was not available. Really disappointed ☹️ and as we’re on holiday next week , won’t be able to go back!

Wickes Halifax = Amazing service, especially Sam and the store manager (Jo I think she was called). After checking the website for some steel channeling, I went to the store and couldn't find it so I asked a member of staff (Sam) she looked up the item then spent the next 15 minutes helping me to locate it, which unbeknown to us at the time it is no longer on the shop floor as technically the item isn't stocked anymore so doesn't have a place on shop floor. Sam asked the store manager for assistance and it was suggested it may be in the stock room, Sam spent a further 10 minutes locating it for me. Huge thanks to you Sam for going the extra mile for me especially as it was only a £2.25 item, believe me you and your amazing service saved me a huge headache. I highly recommend Wickes Halifax for the customer service, value and all round helpfulness of the staff definitely a 5 star service.......Wickes if you read this, the team at Halifax are a credit to your company

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Wickes, and in particular Vicki at the Halifax store, for the outstanding support we received through the Wickes Community Programme.
From our initial enquiry, Vicki went above and beyond to help us find a solution. Her communication was prompt, professional, and genuinely supportive throughout.
Our school gardening team had worked incredibly hard to raise funds, but we still faced a shortfall that would have meant scaling back our plans. Thanks to Wickes, and Vicki’s efforts, we were able to purchase what we could, and the Community Programme generously made up the difference, enabling us to receive everything needed to complete our project.
The quality of the decking boards is excellent, and delivery was quick and efficient, making the whole process seamless from start to finish.
Because of this support, we are now able to build our raised beds and continue developing our school garden — something that will have a lasting impact on the children’s learning and wellbeing. Without this help, we simply would not have been able to bring this project to life.
This truly is a service that is second to none. Five stars just isn’t enough!

Just been into Halifax branch looking for a particular Wickes item which didn’t appear to be anywhere in the store . We asked one of the assistants and he searched everywhere for us and finally came up with the goods . His name was Jack Miller and in our opinion he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond what we normally expect these days . Thank you Jack . 😀

The kitchen is evidently unfinished. It falls short of what Wickes advertises, and due to the lack of clarity about whether painting was included, we cannot get a painter booked for at least three months. The laminate flooring which was supplied and fitted by Wickes feels unstable underfoot. There are also visible snags and plaster everywhere. That gives you a fair picture of where we are.
We had multiple appointments both in-store and at home, and the design process was reasonably thorough. However, when we raised a previous bad experience with a bathroom installation, our designer reassured us that the fitter was reliable and prompt. That turned out to be untrue. When the project documentation was not passed to the fitter prior to starting, the designer’s responsibility, he attempted to deflect blame onto us. Wickes should own that process entirely. It is not the customer’s job to ensure their fitter has the correct paperwork.
The pre-installation appointment was originally booked for a Saturday, pushed to Sunday, and the fitter did not arrive until 6pm. The meeting was rushed and we had little opportunity to go through things properly. We did however make clear during that meeting that we had a holiday booked and that the fitter would not be required on those days, something he explicitly agreed to.
The fitter had a legitimate reason to be late on one occasion but then did not arrive as agreed originally at 9am at all after that, getting progressively later each day, eventually turning up just before lunchtime routinely. Had he kept to agreed times the installation would have been shorter overall. Despite the agreement made at the pre-installation meeting, the fitter expected us to be available during our holiday and suggested we leave him a key. Up to that point we had managed to keep our cats confined to a separate part of the house, but the uncertainty around his attendance meant we had no choice but to put them in a cattery, an additional and entirely avoidable financial cost. At one point Wickes called us to conduct an end-of-installation review while the work was nowhere near complete, demonstrating a complete lack of awareness of where the project actually stood.
The fitter made decisions without consulting us. One example was that rather than replace a double socket with a single one, he cut a section out of the panel in such a way that it sits over the socket, leaving the second socket completely inaccessible. It is representative of the corner cutting throughout. Waste and buckets were left in the garden. The fitter refused to delay his work for a plasterer, meaning plaster was applied directly over the newly fitted kitchen, leaving residue on the cupboards. Most seriously, our boiler stopped working because a switch had been positioned too close to a cabinet, we were left without hot water overnight and faced an unplanned cost to resolve it. We were also charged for additional work with no invoice or paperwork provided by the fitter.
Our designer has made personal efforts during aftercare and we acknowledge that. However, when a cabinet needed to be returned he told us he was unable to authorise it until his manager returned, however when I questioned the poor continuity practices, a refund was agreed and processed, but no set collection date has yet been arranged. The wider customer care team has been consistently poor. Callbacks were promised and not delivered at every level repeatedly, including by a manager. There is no clear process for raising further snagging complaints despite multiple issues remaining unresolved. A Subject Access Request was submitted and not properly passed to the data protection team, suggesting a lack of basic experience in handling such requests.
This has been a stressful experience with tangible financial consequences; an unplanned boiler repair, cattery costs, and a kitchen that remains unfinished with no painter we have spoken to seemingly available for months to come. There are individual bright spots but they are outweighed heavily by poor project management, unreliable installation, and a customer centre team that simply does not follow through. We would not recommend Wickes installation services.

Have shopped at Wickes for years, they usually have what you need and good quality also. I recently had a couple of bulk orders with delivery and the staff were as usual very helpful particularly Stan who dealt with both orders. Delivered on time and in good condition.
