Our Experience w/ Worth Decor by Carolina Caballero

We hired Worth Decor by Carolina to decorate three events over our two-day wedding weekend in August 2026. Based on our experience, we would NOT recommend them.

I want to be fair and acknowledge that some of the decor they completed was beautiful. Unfortunately, the issues that occurred, combined with how the company handled our concerns afterward, completely overshadowed what went well.

We initially contacted Worth Decor in Summer 2025 after they were recommended by a mutual contact. We met with Carolina in Toronto, went through our vision for all three events in detail, and she drew out the backdrops, stages, tables, centrepieces and other decor elements we agreed on. We ultimately signed one contract covering both wedding days.

Before the wedding, we also met with Carolina’s executive administrator, Amika Khan, and discussed the required setup times and final details for all three events.

Day 1 – Royal Ambassador
Our first ceremony was at the lakeside gazebo at Royal Ambassador. Worth Decor was still decorating when guests began arriving, and the completed gazebo did not fully match the agreed design.

I later learned from our day-of coordinator that when she urged the team to hurry because they were already behind, Carolina responded along the lines of: “It is what it is, they (as in my wife and I) should’ve known not to do a full-blown setup for such a short period of time.”

This was particularly frustrating to hear because Worth Decor was the professional decor company that designed the setup with us, agreed to provide it, and knew the venue access and required completion times in advance. If they believed the design they sold us could not reasonably be completed within that window, that should have been communicated during planning, not blamed on us while they were already running late and guests were arriving.

When we brought up the incomplete setup afterward, Worth Decor initially blamed it on rain and the gazebo being wet. We disputed this because there had been no rain that morning, the area was not wet, and we have photos documenting the conditions. After we challenged that explanation, it changed to unspecified “circumstances during setup.”

Day 2 – They Decorated the WRONG Church
Our second ceremony was at Metropolitan United Church in downtown Toronto.
Around 30 minutes into the church’s limited setup window, our coordinator repeatedly tried contacting the decorator with no response and her phone going straight to voicemail. Approximately 10 minutes before the ceremony, they finally answered.

Our coordinator asked where they were because the ceremony was about to begin.
Their response was essentially:
“What do you mean? We just finished decorating the church.”
Except they had decorated the WRONG church.
Our actual church, which was identified in our contract, received ZERO decor.

There was no opportunity to fix the mistake. Guests were arriving and our ceremony had to proceed.
Mistakes can happen at weddings. A missing flower or a small difference from a rendering is one thing.
Decorating an entirely different church and leaving the actual ceremony with zero décor is on a completely different level.

Immediately afterward, while my wife and I were taking wedding photos, I had to step away to call Carolina because Worth Decor was also reportedly running behind at the reception.

When I asked about the church, Carolina apologized and said there was no excuse. When I asked about a refund, I was told we would receive $500 because we supposedly had a “Winter promotion package” with a $1,000 package discount.

This was never communicated to us beforehand or identified in our signed contract. We originally received our quote in summer 2025 for an August 2026 wedding, and the price never changed during that period.

Worth Decor later confirmed in writing that their regular standalone price for the church decor was $1,500, but claimed they had internally valued our church portion at only $500 because of this package discount.

At no point during booking were we told the church was valued at $500 or that a $1,000 discount was being specifically allocated against it. We strongly disagreed with introducing that allocation after the service was completely missed.

For context, we spent over $11,000 on décor.

We gave Worth Decor multiple opportunities to resolve this privately before sharing our experience publicly.

Based on our experience, we CANNOT recommend Worth Decor Events by Carolina Caballero and would not use or refer this company in the future.
