Your Essential Shop Avis 

Product order, promised a delivery date, was then told that the product was delayed and would be sent next day, then no answer to emails, phones says it is unavailable and I have no product. This company’s attitude and performance are why people buy directly from Amazon to avoid getting ripped off and treated badly.

Awful company, dreadful customer service, charged for goods that were not sent (did get a refund several weeks later after having to complain)

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Placed an order on 22/10/25 on an item that was displayed as being in stock. The company claim that orders placed before 3pm will be shipped on the same day, so I was expecting a shipping confirmation later on.

The following day, I email them to find out what’s going on as I still haven’t received any further emails. I get a response the day after, apologising as the item was out of stock but will now be shipped out. Problem solved, you might think. Fast forward 4 more days to the 28th and I’ve still received no tracking information, so I email again. I state that at this point it’s fairly clear the product still hasn’t been sent, so please ship it out with some urgency as it’s already been nearly a week, and if for any reason this isn’t possible, to just cancel the order and refund me. I received no response.

Today, 31/10/25, I call them to find out what’s going on, as I expected to at the very least receive a reply to my email. I find out that my order had been cancelled and refunded, and nobody had bothered to tell me that so I couldn’t order a replacement elsewhere. Absolutely ridiculously poor customer service.

For reference, what I order was a set of crutches in green. The colour was not important. If the website had displayed correct stock levels, I would have simply ordered a different colour. Again, after they acknowledged the order and confirmed it, if they had told me it was out of stock, I would have happily taken a different colour. When I emailed and they told me it was back in stock (which it obviously wasn’t), I would’ve accepted another colour then. Even on my follow up email after 6 days, pushing them to send the product out with urgency, even then, I would’ve accepted them offering me a different colour. Instead they cancel the order and don’t bother telling me. 4 opportunities to resolve the issue and have a happy customer and a 5* review, but apparently they couldn’t care less.

Quick service and quality items

No screws with it. Very fiddly to tighten the screws because of the covering for the screws, so it would be nice if it came with a small L shaped screwdriver. Also I could not get 1 of the screw coverings on properly.

Great service great delivery

I bought a purple wheelchair bag for my daughter. It arrived in lightning fast time firstly. Secondly, it's was wide, which was an excellent match for her wheelchair. Thirdly, it was wonderful value for money due to them offering VAT relief for people with serious disabilities. Excellent all around.

Do not use this company. I returned the stroller that I purchased as instructed. Despite numerous emails and phone calls I am still waiting to receive my refund 2 months later despite being told that it had been actioned.

Terrible experience, avoid using this company. Ordered a bath board. Not delivered when promised, no update provided. Several chaser calls and 3 weeks after the original date, still no bath board or updates from Your Essential Shop. Now when I try to call them, I'm just cut off.
