Whilst the staff were helpful & polite…
Whilst the staff were helpful & polite the food was a disappointment. If you like hot food, try somewhere else as my pizza and side of fries were warm at best, compounded by the tiny amount of topping - on my Pepperoni Campagna I expected a decent amount of pepperoni, ham & mushrooms, not the 4 or so pieces of each on what is a large pizza. If I buy from a typical takeaway an equivalent 'meaty' pizza you can't see the base for topping and it's over half the cost - if I'm paying more to support the genuine overheads an 'eat in' venue in a prominent place has I still expect the food to be as good if not better than a suburban takeaway!

Zizzi at Hampton court could be so much better, no ambience what so ever. All it needs is low lighting, candles/fake or real on tables. Food is nice its just the ambience creates no atmosphere what so ever, hence 3 stars. Service was good. Ambience is essential to draw in customers. I feel that well behaved dogs should also be allowed in, most restaurants now days are allowing this.

We had a great meal at zizzi Hornchrch,Essex.

I recommend this restaurant.

Walked into zizzi in Chelmsford wish we had walked straight back out, unprofessional from the start, asked for a tabletold to go and find our own, only one waiter was ok, never gave us menu for set meal, had to ask, this was the case for everyone we saw never once offered set menu, drinks took ages to come, starter was over cooked, but to top it all, my main which was a four cheese carbonara, had a really strange smell, put a small amount into my mouth actually made me gag was absolutely awful it was like the sauce had turned, I am not leaving this review lightly but when I sent it back There was no apology whatsoever very disinterested manager should be really ashamed, staff need proper training, i never choose another main as this really put me off, no comparison to the one in Cardiff bay, where staff are lovely helpful and food amazing.
Do not visit
Food tasteless and very over priced. Do not buy drinks or dessert.
Tipping should be optional not compulsory
Front staff welcoming.
I will never go back
Re: Bad management and Customer Service
Re: Zizzi, Camberley. I can see why their rating generally is so low. Made my daughter and granddaughter feel very uncomfortable in front of other diners when she went to pay with Tesco Clubcard vouchers, saying she had to show the Tesco app on her phone. They were actually a gift from me so they could have a meal. You do not need to have the app as once you have the vouchers you can just have them scanned for payment(as per Tesco t@c’s) so she had to pay by other means. When complained to Zizzi customer services I ended up getting a bunch of excuses from the restaurant rather than customer services, dealt with very badly ! No more Zizzi in Camberley visits !

Would not recommend messing us about and no pizza when we went, they sent us to a different location and couldn’t take us.
Booked for my daughters 16th birthday
Booked for my daughters 16th birthday, made the restaurant aware on booking and out arrival - not one member of staff acknowledged this. Service was then atrocious - clearly the staff couldn’t cope with the amount of tables they had to serve. Starters took ages, then once they were finished they brought the mains without clearing the table. So they had to take the main away to clear to then bring them back cold. We were then going to order puddings when a member of staff smashed a glass at our table, rather than cleaning it up he carried on serving another table. We had to ask for it to be cleaned up so we didn’t stand on glass in our flip flops. We gave up on ordering puddings and decided to get the bill and leave. This restaurant is a joke and completely ruined our daughter’s birthday - thanks Zizzi. Never again will we spend money in your restaurant and will let family and friends know too
Olympic noise-making event
Went for a lovely walk around Stratford-upon-Avon with my wife, worked up an appetite, and decided to reward ourselves with pizza at Zizzi's. What we got instead was a front-row seat to what I can only describe as an Olympic noise-making event.
No sooner had we sat down and ordered than the soundtrack began. The bar staff, apparently auditioning for some kind of extreme recycling championship, were launching empty bottles into the bin with the kind of force usually reserved for shot-put finals. Every smash echoed round the room like a percussion solo nobody asked for. I half expected someone to hold up a scorecard.
Not to be outdone, a nearby waitress took on the cutlery with what I can only assume was years of pent-up frustration, drying each fork and knife as if it had personally wronged her.
Meanwhile, the kitchen was in full swing, shouting, laughing, it was less of "professional pizza kitchen" and more "house party that's just been gatecrashed by the police."
At one point I genuinely forgot whether we were in a restaurant or standing on a train platform during rush hour. We ate at speed, mostly out of self-preservation, and made our exit before an actual bottle could join us at the table.
The pizza, for what it's worth, was Okay. It just came with a live-action soundscape nobody had opted into.
Seb @ Sheffield Leopold Sq branch
Visied Sheffield Leopold Sq branch on 13 Aug. Very good food and wine, but most exceptional was the service by Seb. He's a real asset to your business.
Great staff but overpriced
The staff are very nice but the cost of the food is ridiculous now, even in the context of every other restaurant raising prices. A truffle carbonara is £20 and a regular pasta dish is £17! A bowl of olives is £5???? Since when was a mains dish £20? It's just too expensive to eat here now.

Burnt Mediterranean seabass …
I ordered the Mediterranean seabass at the Tewkesbury outlet centre. It came with new potatoes, green beans and peppers . Sadly the fish was a little dry . The beans ,peppers and potatoes were all burnt on the bottom so the whole dish tasted slightly burnt. I was waiting for a waitor to come to ask if every thing was OK and I was going to explain no. It was burnt and didn't taste nice but no one came until we asked for the bill .i showed them the half plate of burnt food and all he said was sorry about that . No discount. No offer of a free drink or dessert. No offer to redo the meal. Nothing. I won't be returning.
Genuine Italian food
Good, genuine Italian food at market prices and large portions. Very varied menu/recipes for every taste.
One of the meals looked like it had…been microwaved
One of the meals looked like it had been warmed up in the microwave. It was nearly warm and pasta was dry and rubbery.
Very disappointing as this dish is usually fresh and hot!
Customer service, WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
Customer service, What customer service, is it a known entity at this chain, we visited today at Gloucester Quays and were absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service, we entered to a quiet np atmosphere environment and looked to find a seat for the two of us, as we were looking a miserable staff lady told us we need to wait until seated and disappeared, returned 5 minutes later and escorted us to a seat, bearing in mind restaurant was practically empty, when seated and given menus no other contact, didn`t even offer to take our drink order, we sat there and 10 minutes later after numerous miserable staff passed us by we decided to leave, on the whole an absolute terrible experience, would not recommend anyone attend here, If i could put zero star then I would, avoid this place like the plague, Steve/Paula
Burned meal it’s ok
Went to Zizzi - The Strand (West End), got the 3 courses menu , and the main dishes were terrible, my pitta was as if they cleaned grill all in coals and rubber, the child's pizza was half like coal, and my husband had bacon like boot’s sole the chef said it should be like this , I'm shocked. Finally , they didn’t charge for the child pizza , only .
Zizzi Port Solent
My husband, 10 year old daughter and myself went to Port Solent Zizzi for lunch today. As usual the food was excellent and so was our table attendant, Shannon. We were sitted at table nr. 27, which gave us a good view of the outside area, including some of the beautiful marina. The beautiful warm day and blue sky made our day even more rewarding.
The only not so good comment I will make, but I hope it will be seen as a constructive criticism is that the toilets were in need of attention; my daughter and my husband mentioned that both male and female toilets 🚻 respectively, looked in poor condition compared to previous visits we made to Zizzi Port Solent. Please sort this out. I didn't use this facility on this occasion. Ta
Zizzi Dorchester, Dorset
Don’t bother because we went there for mother 88 birthday and she wanted to go there, so there was 8 of us. She wanted to book herself so I gave her the number, when she phoned she thought she was talking to someone but it was AI booking (mans voice) and when it asked for a mobile number near the end of booking, she don’t have one so said she I don’t have one and AI didn’t like it and the call ended with no booking. My wife then called to get AI (women’s voice mum said I spoke to a man 😊) even AI got things wrong and she had to repeat some things 3 or 4 times to get it right and at the end AI got her surname wrong. Then mum wanted to add someone OMG we had to walk there in the end and do that in person.
BOOKING SYSTEM Total Rubbish can’t speak to anyone EVER just goes to answer machine which no one ever listens to.
There are better places to eat in Dorchester than Brewery Square, both cheaper and more for your money.
The food was good, but there again not much of it. If I pay £18 - £20 for a main meal you expect a mans size meal. I don’t eat that much normally but this was smaller than I usually do for myself, so SMALL MEALS for your pound, because I think they want you to order starters, deserts etc to make more money.
SURCHARGE On the main menu there is in small writing that groups over 6 will be service charged 10% on top, so be aware of this.
We asked if we could bring a cake for mum and they said yes but didn’t really want to do it, when they brought out the cake and plates they just put the plates down with a knife and put the cake on top the plates. Everyone could tell they don’t like doing that because there’s no money in it for them.
ALL IN ALL VERY AVERAGE PLACE BUT PRICEY
I was extremely disappointed with my…
I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Zizzi. I ordered the lasagna, and when I started eating it, I discovered it was freezing cold in the middle. This wasn’t just slightly warm or underheated—it was cold enough to make it obvious it hadn’t been heated through properly.
I found this completely unacceptable and, quite honestly, disgusting. Serving food at the wrong temperature raises serious concerns about food preparation and quality control. It ruined what should have been an enjoyable meal and left me with no confidence in the standards of the kitchen.
Unfortunately, this experience fell well below the standard I expected from Zizzi. I hope the restaurant reviews its food preparation procedures to ensure other customers don’t have the same experience. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend it and will never go there again
