The foil loft insulation (apart from giving the loft extra insulation) has really smartened up the loft space. No more dingy dirty roof felt to look at. Feels much cleaner and nicer up there now. They also pointed out a broken roof tile which I hadn't noticed so I had them clean repair and weather proof coat the roof. The difference from moss covered to clean is amazing.

From initial enquiry to the end of the work, communication was excellent. The surveyor that came was polite and very knowledgeable of the solar system and battery set up. Allowed me to choose the best product and system for my needs. I was more than happy with the price we agreed upon.

Installation was prompt and achieved in a day and the app and system were fully demonstrated to me. Aftercare supplied 8 weeks post-installment to make sure everything was running smoothly and that I was comfortable using the app. One very satisfied customer who would highly recommend this company

Happy with the roof coating provided. Little hassle as was completed quickly. The moss left on the my patio is being cleared after a review of the job.

Very friendly, polite workers ( even kept me up to date with arrival times). Really impressed with the work and the aftercare has been fine. They even offered to fix my back gate!

Since writing the above, I have one complaint. I am still waiting for my certificate of spray foam removal being done. It took a long time to get the bags of old foam removed from the property, but allowance was made for being done over Christmas period. In this case, how long does it take to issue a certificate? Numerous telephone contact has resulted in no action taken. I would take careful consideration before using this company.

Punctual, polite, didn’t make a mess. Good after care, came and check the work after. All in all, an excellent job

We booked this company to install electric solar energy panels, inverter & battery, before they became You First Home Improvements. After a deposit we had to wait over a year due to our own personal circumstances.
During this time the company were in regular contact to see how we were doing, and waited patiently for our circumstances to improve.
The day before installation I was reading all the negative reviews for their previous brand name and called Andy, our area manager, to cancel and even loose our deposit as I was very uneasy about this. He explained all that had gone on and why they re-branded, and directed me to all the reviews on Trustpilot for the new name. He also went well out of his way to visit us to put our minds at rest. Let's face it, they would have been better off if we had cancelled and that was that.
On Installation day all went really well, and only took about 4 hours to install everything. There was one hitch with our main fuse as the amp wasn't big enough, but they sorted it all out in a few days and kept us informed all the way.
All in all, it is all up and running now and saving us money, even in this weather 😊
I am so happy I didn't cancel because of those bad reviews, the staff were very caring and polite.

We are very satisfied with today’s installation by Matthew Wick and Andy Oconner.
They arrived promptly and commenced work, straight away. Inspite of the constant rain throughout the installation, they soldiered on in high spirits.
They did an amazing job and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.
The windows and door look amazing and we would thoroughly recommend F1RST HOME IMPROVEMENTS every time.

I'm not sure about this and wouldn't recommend them - they have tried to charge for work far more for something that did not need doing ultimately and pressured into buying (protecting beams inside that were ~9% moisture content which was missold - its not needed anywhere near at that rate). The work was done in half hour too, which isn't enough time to complete it either.. They also have not provided any certificate after weeks of completing a separate and completed job (and also did not for that job remove all the foam and damaged plastic lining in the roof too). It's really poor.

I am happy to change this review if/when things are rectified. Too many things are adding up that makes me recommend to others to stay away.

The men who came to carry out the work were incredible and worked really hard. The only downside was there seemed to be trouble with vehicles getting them to us. They never arrived before 10am and twice it was nearer to midday.
We were happy with the work. The men cleared up so well I wondered if they would clean the whole house!

Happy with the work the people at You First did in our loft. We’ve inspected the work ourselves and couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

We had this company in to remove foam insulation from the loft as there is general concern about potential issues arising in the long term. They completed the job within a day. After the team had left we found a couple of issues that we wanted to be addressed before paying the balance of the invoice. The company responded quickly and positively to our concerns and returned the next day to remedy the issues.
Things don't always go right first time and when a company responds in the way these people did I believe it reflects their focus on giving good customer service.

Very helpful, professional, tidied up really well after themselves.
